Day 64, this gro went quick, I’m almost in the harvest window. The JD all the pistils have receded, I’m thinking 16 more days, day 80 . The side lites fried a couple leaves, it’s the end of my gro, seems my leaves turn yellow and get crispy by harvest, could be the lite, doesn’t effect the quality of the weed just like to know why.

Right lol, they both are finishing fast, both have no amber to speak of but they are mostly cloudy. I’m definitely letting them go 2 more weeks

And brother I have my signature fry all the sugar leaves off the buds at this time every gro, it’s gotta be the lites and tin foil, while it works great until 2weeks before harvest, I gotta dial it back at week 6 see if I can get a proper fade

Lol it's ok we all have a signature.... But it's no biggie with the sugar leaves.... Have ya thought to trim them off early before they fry and store them in a jar? They have a ton of trichomes on them that you can use to make edibles and what not.

From what I understand they don't do much in grabbing light for photosynthesis.... The trichomes apparently basically block/absorb the light before it even hits the leaf....unlike the big fans that are the power panels. And they contain alot of excess chlorophyll and other trace elements that give a "plants flavor".

But a few different places I've read said that a lot of growers remove them early on for presentation purposes but store them....and when they have enough they use it for tinctures, concentrates, teas, sifting them for kief.....etc

And I used Mother Earth groundswell soil, hard to pinpoint, I’m not there yet. I have 2 large colas on the grappa their both 14inches long, I’m very happy, tried to take pics how long they are and their fat, brother I’m not bragging I’m just really happy I grew this.

I’m such a scatterbrain it’s always been hard for me to finish things. This is like the best therapy I could ask for. And the reward is I get alot of the one thing that slows my brain down, that and I enjoy the shit out of being stoned

Day 66, went over the plants good with the scope, I’m getting amber on the JD, the pistils are all receded and the pistils are all red, I’m thinking a week. The grappa is mostly cloudy and the only pistils are on the cola but their foxtails. Had to been the fertilizer their finishing so fast. I never really used it before, what a difference. I wanna wait till these plants are peak potency , guess it’s day by day

My goal is day 80, I’ll just keep a close eye on them today is the first day I really looked at the trichomes. I’m excited to see these buds hanging to dry. no matter what I’m waiting till I have 15% amber. I smoked almost all my double grape, lol, I have 10gs left, I’m hoping the grappa is similar, such a nice high, the Skywalker is excellent as well but the grape is special

It’s funny though , these colas get so big and fat you think their gonna weigh an oz. Then we dry them and they shrink 75%. Lol oh well , I’m hoping my cola weighs 10g, that would be nice , no smell to the grappa, the jammy dodgers has a berry sweet smell to it, smells great

I also heeded Bills advice about not defoliating the plants, first their beautiful and I love watching them grow , 2nd I just think these solar panels make a huge difference, I get the let more lite in and I do but to just strip the plant to get an extra 1/2 oz , I enjoy this too much probably one of the more rewarding endeavors I’ve ever done

Hey @Bill284 has been grow guru....when I first got here he was there to make sure I did what I needed and then once I could fly he straight donkey kicked me out the nest lol....but the tucking no removing rule is good to follow if possible.

But your doing great and getting better each time.... Keep up the great work

Good mornin bill, how the weather up there today? It's a beautiful morning here so far...

But yea you did a good job teaching.... Which is surprising cuz I never listen to anyone the first time .

And almost like a pro lol not gonna lie having the 420 sticker in my tent makes me feel more legit lol it was kinda like hanging a college degree up in your office.
