Ganesha's Evolution

Yeah the leaning is actually not that great as she went fully horizontal the next days and I think I screwed up by giving a veg feed last week as I noticed the caps on my bottles had both colours, those canna bottles have two caps one for the bottle and one for the little measuring compartment. And normally the red caps are flower stuff and the brown caps veg. So I think went for the wrong one.. and either the N was too much for her or made her grow a bit through which she lost all strength and structure to keep the buds up.. Sigh...
I put some strings through to pull her back up a bit and I pulled out the T.A. Final Part to hasten a finish.
And now pistils have started turning brown and leaves are fading.
Soon!

The side/below light came in handy when she went horizontal as she was leaning into the light so the buds still got plenty of light.

Man, I wouldn't sweat that at all, feeding Veg by accident one time is no big deal at all. In fact, I used Veg my entire grow without bloom nutrients and had great results. (from advice given by many and as an experiment)...

I've read many strains that warn stakes might be needed if the buds get too heavy, maybe your strain is one of these? All in all this is a GREAT thing ! Your killing it with this grow..

Looking great man, I love how you've kept the colas at relatively equal height. hows the smell?

hmmmm I do think it's related though, if the buds were heavy she'd just fall open, but the whole plant went leaning to one side, she's only up because of the strings, and well the feed stays active a couple of days as it's breaking down and converting into nutrients so I think it gave her a grow spurt making her limp.
Or too much N floppy stems.
Smells great, trichomes already milky, so I'm just waiting on a touch of colour.

I have no idea what week we're in but it's September aaah noo Winter is coming.. soon its cold & grey until April.. humans should have never migrated to the North it only got us all this trouble, people sheltering & sitting inside start to think too much.
Wait lemme check back, week 7 was Aug 13 so starting week 10?
Gotta be patient she's still thirsty

Finally a camera model with adjustable white balance on the app.
This is more true to life colour.
Week 10 almost passed, I'm thinking she'll still fly through week 11 but I'm hoping end of week 12 she's gonna be good to go.

Euhm looks like it will be week 12 as she yellowed a lot since Thursday, I'm cutting.
As I don't think any improvement will come anymore as the flavour is moving away from where I like her which is fresh & zingy on the upside the buds are pretty big and juicy.
I already clipped a couple and some wires and there's a whole bunch in that mess slumped over.

Time to lay her to rest bro she had a good run hope she smokes good. Having the nutrients leave the plant before harvest is good it means you will have a cleaner weed with less nutrients in it.

It's my favourite smoke so I'm not worried about that but I do find harvesting the plant late is a bit different in how the taste skews.
Like I love the taste of charas, which is hand rolled hash from the plants a couple of weeks before harvest, as that retains a spicy & floral flavour different from hash, the same is true for bud I feel.
As I've been sampling lower buds the past weeks and I can taste the evolution and now she's a bit more dark & sweet & berry. There's still a lot of spice and funk as this plant has a lot but the eq curve is different bit less treble and some more bass.
Now she cycled through what's stored in her leaves, but if I cut the leaves off she doesn't have access to any of that either. So I dunno what's best, Others feed on till the end, I've put her on finalpart the past weeks.

The big question is what to grow next? As I'm mainly searching for a companion I can grow all the time together with this strain, so I can grow two things I can like very much.
This plant has a flavour I totally love, she's pretty strong in effect and very pungent, a good leaf to calyx ratio as there's not a lot of trimming to be done, big buds and she's even strong outdoor in my shitty cold climate and short flowering season as she consistently delivers large yields, I manage to get 1100 to 1400 grs off her where all the others we tried outdoor here were more in the 500-900 range as I need to harvest early preferably late September or earliest October.
So me likee very much, but it's hard to find a sister for her.
And I recently had a little existential crisis talking this over with Stoneotter, as well I realised it takes years for me to go through trying strains & breeders as I don't grow many plants or strains at a time.

I'm thinking about picking up Collection1 from Medical Seeds as that will give more Channel+ but also two other strains BNC Sour Diesel (Diesel & Californian) & Prozack (Lavender & Kush)
I've never grown anything other from them but Channel, but maybe I like their taste in selection of plants.

Sniff & Quality test... I failed.. she meowed that she can still see a couple of green tips.

Look up Humboldt Seed Company. All their genetics are legendary. Hella jelly is one I want to grow next year this year I'm growing Humboldt Dream.

Round two, cut them earlier today that probably wasn't a good idea as now the leaves are limp which makes it more annoying to pluck.
The aroma coming off this is fantastic.
Now I'm actually getting lots of hash and apricot smells.
And there's still a layer of side branches on the bush.

Thanks, it's a big bud & skunk, that helps with the bud size, channel+ from Medical Seeds. And well she's so stinky I smell all kinds of stuff and it changes all throughout flower and all throughout drying what kinda notes you pick up on.
Yeah cannabis terps are a wild ride. More!

I've ordered Great White Premium Myco.

But I'm completely stumped on what seeds to get. Analysis Paralysis!

I kinda wanted to try out Herbies to order and get some Apple Betty so I can try that outdoor next year, and maybe try some Skywalker Haze.
Only annoying thing I have to wire them the money as their card thingy doesn't work for me.

At Dutch Passion there's a couple of 1+1 offers, buy one get one free no matter if it's the 3-5 or 10 pack.
Super Sativa Seed Club Strawberry Cookies and Dutch Passion Sugar Bomb Punch is on offer like that, they look kinda nice.

At Zamnesia they have Humboldt Seed Company, but half is out of stock, and I wouldn't know what to pick, and many of them look pretty leafy?
There I had some Channel+ & SSSC Kosher Haze in the cart.

What I really want to try is a Channel and an Apple Betty outdoors next year, get to poundstown.
But I also need to get something to start next week.
I kinda still have a channel clone, but she's small and flowering, could reveg that..
But then I'll be smoking Channel for ages... need to alternate..
euhm
...

Got the 2l jar full already, there's still buds on the carousel, on the two dry nets and still some to clean.

Still don't know where to order what though.. sigh.
I'm just reading and clicking through strains & breeders like crazy :p

Hey @Azimuth is there something else I can grow on top of the soil? I recently saw a nice plant in a pot with a nice little forest under it on the soil, and that's pretty fricking cool, isn't there something that's beneficial to the soil or roots for more symbiotica?

You bet!

Build-a-Soil has a cover crop blend with a bunch of different stuff in it, but basically you want low plants like clover and things like that. Bonus points for plants that fix nitrogen on their roots. If they start getting too tall you simply chop and drop in place for extra mulch up top.

Ah great, that probably also helps with the top soil, as usually that kinda goes dry & wasted.
I see Zamnesia has a section with buddy plants seeds, clover is there red & white, cerastium, but also things like basil & chamomile, dil and cilantro.. although those grow kinda big to be putting in the pot.
And if I'm doing a run with the smaller sips I don't have that much surface area and I'll have less height as well as I'm scrogging short in the smaller tent..so actually for now it's maybe not that ideal... but with a larger free standing plant like I just grew I'm keen on trying it out.

And what's the procedure, seed every thing at the same time? or pre-establish cover and then transplant a plant with established roots into it? or seed cannabis first and when she's going seed cover plants?

And I bit the bullet..
Worrying about next years seeds I can do around the end of year & promos.
Getting Kosher Haze would only give me 3 seeds for over 40 coin thingies.
So I went with Dutch Passion and Sugar Bomb Punch & Super Sativa Seed Club Strawberry Cookies.
2 packs for the price of 1, that way I can put some in the fridge, all I have now is 2 Malawi and regular seeds from Indian farmers.
I'm gonna keep an eye out on their site, if they occasionally put up a couple of strains on promo like that, that's a great way to try out and collect at the same time as I usually end up using everything or handing them out.

Still need to get some perlite and that bio kultura soil and wait for the great white & the seeds to arrive and I can get going again.
