Ganesha's Evolution

And what's the procedure, seed every thing at the same time? or pre-establish cover and then transplant a plant with established roots into it? or seed cannabis first and when she's going seed cover plants?
I would get the canna plant started first to get its root system going unimpeded, but don't think it really matters all that much.

Almost there, everything is now trimmed there's still drying on the net but I'm a jar short as the bottom fell out one of them last time.

Alright that was a fun run! without any real hick ups, just well a bit finicky with the watering I think I flipped too early, the root mass was a bit too small for the 7G pot, this could have been accomplished in a 5G.
But the results are nice none the less. Side lighting was fun, question now would the plant have been the same if I kept the Mars on Top? I will never know 😆
The jars smell amazing! Very old skool spicy green skunky funk.
Now it needs to gain some sweetness.

Can't wait for the next grow and trying out the jaws myco.

That was kinda super fast as an hour after ordering on Monday I already got a shipped notification from Dutch Passion and they were in the bus already yesterday, but I only checked it today.

Sugar Bomb Punch and Strawberry Cookies have arrived! I like the Super Sativa Seed Club packaging.
The Dutch Passion package looks like a health supplement at the bio shop, next to the bee pollen.. I dunno it's the hexagons.. cool too.
And they sent a Blueberry & Tropical Tangie as well.
Kinda an overload of sweet weeds...
Well the season of sugar & cinnamon is upon us..

Gonna pick up the Great White now as per usual DPD failed in their delivery attempt, so it's at the pickup point.

Yeah, Jaws!
Okay I'm very curious about this, root pictures with and without were very promising.
This better does good things, not a cheap jar.
hmm all the writing on the other side is in German, so very much an export to that market, but I don't see it in many shops.

Friday I got the soil & perlite, sadly not the Biokultura I wanted to try out as only a small bag remained in stock.
So I went for the Plagron Royalmix, supposedly their flagship but well it's not really soil, and I kinda wanted a low peat solution not an all peat.. I've used their stuff before and well it does work as texture and structure wise it's a dream, it's bouncy velvet stuff and smells great.
Hmm maybe dig up some real dirt and mix it through? might catch some worms, on the other hand I usually avoid the soil from the garden as well there's too much biodiversity going on there, there's that moth that attacks the chestnuts, some of that stuff that turns plants white, a truckload of ants, snails, those tiny rolling bugs, millepedes, way too many flying insects..
And well bringing anything in like the perfect breeding temperature for 12 or 18 hrs a day.. that can get out of control quickly.

Yeah, Jaws!

The English version gives advice on mixing it with water. Most others I have seen only suggest sprinkling myco dry on roots so there's an extra application option with the GW .

But you don't have to use a lot of it? just the beginning?
Oh I'm just reading repeat every 2-3 weeks on the jar? So once rooting, once when the veg starts, and then maybe one when flowering starts? but during flower as well?
I was thinking about sprinkling where I build the area for the seedling and then when I start the SIP put it in the first res.

I think directly on the roots is best, watering in a distant second. But every up pot is good practice, and just a sprinkle to get it established, then it'll develop on its own.
Every up pot.... hmm yeah I usually don't do those. I do pot in pot.. And I think I'm going to use the duct rings again as last time in the SIP I had crazy thick stems that way.
Can I mist it in a bottle? As I fill the duct ring B284 style with the soil & perlite alternating and I wet the soil & perlite with mist usually with rhizotonic in it. If I can just add it to that then the seedling area is prepped & inoculated.
Or I can just sprinkle, but then I feel I might overdo it vs a set ratio in water.
The German instructions only mention water.. for Hydroponic it's like 5 gr for 40l water, and Soil 5 gr for 7l.

And the first thing I'm gonna do tomorrow is replant the Channel cutting one of them that I put straight into soil as she truly is a survivor as well after a while I kinda just neglected the cuttings as I had no plan for them and several months later one is still alive.. I did water it yesterday as I thought soil is on the way I'm gonna try and save it, but she hasn't had that in ages either. There's like one dry leaf on it, all the rest looks fine. Still tiny and trying to flower.
As I put them in a very light starved place like access to daylight but it's filtered by glass bricks and a very thick slab of glass on the roof. So they also didn't grow much but it was enough to keep them alive.

Not that I have a plan or space for her now, but I can try to get her healthy again during the veg of the other plants.. like you said, as an exercise :)

I do pot in pot..
You can just sprinkle it on the soil just before you put the other pot on top of it.

Can I mist it in a bottle?
You can, but once you activate it with water it needs direct contact with roots to live, so you need to use it immediately.

Or I can just sprinkle, but then I feel I might overdo it vs a set ratio in water.
I'm not sure you can over do it. More than necessary might be a waste but not likely harmful.

Ah okay that's good to know, so just sprinkle seedling.
And then I'll try to time when the roots are getting down into the regular pot area, and If I feed it then it will permeate to everywhere there are roots.

Pretty cool seed selection / collection! 😎 Tropical Tangie sounds mouth watering 🤤 :volcano-smiley:

Heard great things about the Great White stuff in a german speaking forum i visit from time to time to find alternatives for stuff i read about on here but can't get a hold on or would be to expensive to import. It isn't really different than all the "Myco" people use in this forum. A little search might help on the question "how to apply effectivly", but as far as i remember alot people on 420 (and the german) just dust the hole before they plant their rooted seedlings.....do you germinate your seeds via paper towel method or "straight in the pot it goes" ?

And last but not least....i like the choice of soil you made with RoyalMix....eager to see that soil working. Had the AllMix for my last grow and like you, i instantly loved the structure/feel to it....seems by data sheet it is just a tad hotter than the royalmix. Gave me great results (not yet to be seen on 420 :sorry:).

I thought you were waiting for the small pot to fill with roots and then, instead of pulling off the fabric pot, you just planted the pot and all into your new, bigger pot. :hmmmm:

Naah like this, now I already pulled the ring up a bit.. but it's just a ring with different soil mixture & layering for the seedling.. and well some roots can bounce around like they're in a smaller pot, but at the same time the roots going downward can continue into the other medium.

Well I'm going to try to start a collection, hunt for 1+1 deals and maybe buy bigger single packs in the future so if I try something out I can have a couple left I can keep.

Yeah me too, also saw great things about it, and well I compared a few products and GW had the biggest list of bacteria and fungi of those, that's why I wanted to try.. but I'm sure there's others too.
I do the glass method, to first see if there's anyone that reacts and cracks within the first 48hrs and then plant those.

The Plagron feels really good, like you're resting on a bed of moss.. but it's not really soil now is it.. they even call it a soilless medium themselves.. and I kinda wanted to try out a real more complex soil. But oh well I'll have limited space anyway so it's not going to be a long grow.
But plants grow pretty happily in it and you grow pretty sweet weed in it flavour wise and structure wise;

I don't use one but I'm sprinkling it on by an 1/8th teaspoon so I'm not kicking up a storm. YMMV.
Just opening up the jar I could tell an incredibly fine particle waft.. frankly like mould disturbing it and the updraft over the jar was enough.. so I was like huh maybe I should be careful with this stuff.

Curing the Channel+ proves a bit difficult in October, I probably should have some sort of aid for doing it around this period, taste has greatly improved but stays a bit too moist.
I just had a drag with a very strong fresh mint flavour, which took me by surprise because it was so clear.. but kinda why I love this strain so much because she's full of surprise notes and hints to encounter.
Only thing I'd do different is harvest earlier to keep even more fresh notes.
