Thanks Yellowman. I have used the app on my smartphone. I have also read in numerous posts that the app can give misleading PAR numbers. I would have think it at least gets you in the ballpark.

Never considered that but it checks out. Printer paper strips and an iPhone seem awfully ambitious.Yellowman. I have used the app on my smartphone. I have also read in numerous posts that the app can give misleading PAR numbers. I would have think it at least gets you in the ballpark
Did you compare the par meter with the photone? Thanks Yellowman. I have used the app on my smartphone. I have also read in numerous posts that the app can give misleading PAR numbers. I would have think it at least gets you in the ballpark.
Not yet it's my busy time of the year. I have Santa gigsDid you compare the par meter with the photone?
Yes, RR. The photone app can be calibrated, if that's what you're asking. Not yet it's my busy time of the year. I have Santa gigs
It's on my todo list after Mrs Clause gets thru with me.
Seriously I have pondered it. Do you know if the smartphone app can be calibrated?
That would at least give the app a fighting chance in a comparison match.Yes, RR. The photone app can be calibrated, if that's what you're asking.
I calibrated my photone app to my lux meter, but with their upgrade they now require a diffuser on Android so I'm now using PPFD meter (recommended by con). It also has a calibration option but I haven't had a chance to do it yet. That would at least give the app a fighting chance in a comparison match.
How many nodes are showing in that jungle?Day 25:
I love opening the tent these past few days! Such noticeable growth and her lowers are getting that green that I like
She is still staying vertically challenged for the moment as well
She has made it about halfway through the res but I have to assume a good portion of that is evaporation.
Here is what the tent looked like over the past week, though it doesn’t tell me that him better than 98% brings a whole new meaning to 2%er huh??
Though I guess since the goal is VPD I got a 91 for the week
What need to get in there and do a count tomorrow. I am thinking it’s starting on node 4 today. How many nodes are showing in that jungle?
I just ordered a diffuser to put on the iPhone.Hey great discussion!!
I did match my meter up to the phonone app and I think it’s in my Banner Journal. From what I remember the app was not all that close and I chose to continue using the meter.
@Delps8 had compared the meter to his apogee and it was pretty much dead even.
I like the Uni-t meter, especially at the price point.
I was using a piece of paper LOL. Would be interesting to see the app, with diffuser, next to the Uni-T next to the Apogee.I just ordered a diffuser to put on the iPhone.

Obviously the app is the most economical. And the Uni-T is a great option. The Apogee, imo, is just unrealistic for a “hobby gadget”. Now if you use that for your profession, then a completely different story!
Man she's got that sweet green color! She's going to quadline nicely.Ok well it’s Friday night and I was expecting seeds in the mail today and that don’t happen soooooo
I started the torture part of quadline and chopped nodes 1 and 2! 3 is well established and 4 is just there enough for me to bend it slightly down. Will probably top by mid week.
And the fun begins!!!
Didn’t feed her today will do that tomorrow likely
