Barney's Farm - Mimosa X Orange Punch - SIP

Day 17:

Well small amounts of growth daily :)

Promix is still wet from the last feeding so I can probably make it until Friday when she will get a stronger dose of MegaCrop and additions that will look something like this:

MegaCrop 1.9 g/gal
Magnesium Sulfate (epsome salt) .38 g/gal
Potassium Silicate .24 mL/gal
Ammonium Sulfate .06 g/gal
Potassium Chloride.07 g/gal

I will also up her DLI to 20 and her VPD goal will stay the same at .8 on Friday.

Well that’s about for today.

Slowly growing till she hits that reservoir and bam freaking forest lol. Makes me want to bust back out my SIPs. She looks happy and ready to deliver for ya.

Day 18:

Another day of growth for her :)

She is looking like she might be a short and stocky girl, until stretch at least. Quading her should help with that a tad though.

Promix is still plenty wet so no need of feeding her, and not even really sure by Friday. Will still feed her then though as I think she is more than ready for that next jump up in nutes.

That’s the great thing with these SIPs and ProMix, top feed and it can all just drain to the res.

It’s cold and blowy outside here today currently 12° and feels like -7° but a nice 77.5° in the tent.
 
Looking great after that moveable start! It seems it would take a long time for the roots of a plant that size to start draining that much ProMix of moisture, no?

Agreed! I just feel like I’m behind the curve in feeding. Will keep an eye on her!
 
Day 19:

Just had a quick Look in the tent today, dishwasher decided it was going to retire…. So installing a new one is on the list this afternoon….

Anyway she is chugging along and growing :)

I certainly think that she can take another round of food at the next step up :)
 
Day 19:

Well she got a feeding of nutes today and is growing well! Though she still looks a bit pale to me. Hopefully the upping of nutes helps green her a tad.

Also increased the DLI today to next weeks goal as it was easier LOL. I just increased the p2000’s from 25% to 50% and left the 1500pro where it was

Well keep an eye on here if of she doesn’t like it I will raise the lights a few inches.

Speaking of lights these came in this week. Won’t be put into use of flip but I had to check them out. Man are they BRIGHT!!

Yup I’m not messing with her until next Friday possibly when it’s time to increase her nutes if needed.

And she just needs a little darkening, nothing major :)

These ones are not, but they do sell a light combo that’s UV and Deep Red. I might look into those for the next grow but I think I’m good for now on lights :)
 
Was hanging out with my head in the tent for a bit this morning and there seems to be some odd variegation going on. Well that is what it looks like to me.

And actually as I finally look at the picture the lighter portion of that leave is shaped exactly like the center leave next to it. Its looks like it’s discolored from when they were small and touching each other or it was shaded from light exposure?

Also see the tiny white specs on the center leaf? I am assuming that it is hard water deposits from the humidifier as my tent has that on it as well. The stuff wipes right off no problemo.

I see it all the time in here. People trying to chemically help a plant that just needs to be left alone for a second to work out its own life strategy.

My GMO is a perfect example. It really struggled that first month. But she soon found what she was meant to do.

I also think leaves are like skin types. They are all beautiful. From ivory to ebony. As long as your growth is good, she’s good.

Cool outline of the other leaf! I'm sure you've noticed that plants with black leaves usually have green ones in the shade, so I'm guessing it was from being in the shade.
 
Well unexpectedly the tent is getting ready to increase in occupancy!!

I had to support the locals and have some @Bean Genie coming that will join along for the ride. Should be a fun ride and she is an auto so should be easy to fit into this current grow :)

Day 22:

Somehow I doubled day 19…..

Seems she is taking just fine to the increase in nutes and lights! Looking good and reaching for the lights!

She is certainly growing and her res is about 3/4 full and waiting for her to find the res if she has not already.

My plan is to continue the top watering at least for the next feeding, which as of now will be Friday, but that’s just the plan for now.

I was also thinking that I would have been able to add in more promix by now as well, but she is staying short, which I’m perfectly fine with. I would rather her stay short until flip so that hopefully I don’t have to deal with headroom issues :)
 
Day 23:

Won’t be too much longer before she is ready for her training :)
 
I didn't notice those two toned leaves before. Have they been like that from the beginning?
She sure has spread out nicely. :)
