Barney's Farm - Mimosa X Orange Punch - SIP

Forgot that I needed to up the DLI from 12 to 16 this week.

Raised the power on the 2 p2000 from 5% to 25% and left the middle xs1500 pro at 5% all lights are 24 inches from the top of her

IMG_4675.jpeg

Also increased VPD from .7 to .9 which is still on the low side following the charts, but I’m keeping her on the humid side for another week :)

Will get in there and make some fan adjustments today as well to keep air moving across the surface of the sip.

Time to do some reading on quadline, I know there is good info around here somewhere:)

That’s right Azi’s sig has it :)

IIRC I started at 9,000 and within days turned it up to 13,000 then 14,000 to keep the stretch down ;)

At this time Maui Wowie was 7 days old, Hawaiian Snow was 2....

Cheers
Copy that. Yeah I’m at 15,550, a little behind where it should be for her age, but then again she is as well.

Ohh love Black Friday deals :)

I picked up some supplemental flower lighting :)

80w of deep red 660 nm spectrum should help during flower :)

Nice! Your girls guna be packing it on in flower.

I picked up a taller tent and some fabric pots on special from a sponsor here. That's the extent of my shopping though lol.

Nice! Have to love a new tent!!!

Yeah I wasn’t even in the market for additional lighting and then I saw a post from a sponsor; a couple of pm’s later and I went for it. We will see how it goes but it certainly can’t hurt :)

So did you get a full size 4x4 or did you go bigger?

That's sweet! Hopefully you can daisy chain them in with your existing lights.

I didn't even get the chance to change the 4'x2' footprint as I'm kinda locked into a spot in the house but the new one is 6' tall, has the 1" poles and high CFM bars included. The 5' tall tent I'm running right now is keeping me on my toes and an extra foot of headroom will be a luxury.

If you ph the inputs going in the rez to hydro levels, then all your soil roots will be locked out and water roots may be more able. As Shed mentioned there's few water roots in SIP's so I'd have to guess the balance would be backward making it more hydro. If more roots propagate then fine. You'd have to try it and see. Sounds Iffy to me but i've been wrong before.

I have the same delema g-1-3. Two 4x2 tents with only

Good morning KeOncp, Hows that light meter treating you? I'm looking for one and can't decide which one to get. Thanks and have a great day.

Same situation here! But I was able to squeeze in a 4x4 into the only location in the house. Shitty part is I only have access through the front…

Yeah so basically don’t worry about ph’ing the nutes as it just going to get wicked into the promix, which is sitting at 5.6?

I think that’s the route I’m going!

Light meter is great! Highly recommend it! Cheap on the on too!

Day 14:

I figure being as she is 2 weeks old it’s probably past time for some nutes. So she got her first feeding today of right about 1g/gal of MegaCrop.

Will increase this weekly over the next 3-4 weeks when she will ride at right about 3.8 grams until flip :)

Not much change with her since yesterday:)

Thanks I just ordered one up.
And not that you asked but I’m going to pop this right here :)

This is how I calculate my DLI
Lux * .018 = ppfd
(Ppfd * #day light hours) * (3600/1000000) = DLI

So for mine as an example my meter shows 15,550 lux and I’m running 20 hours of daylight

This would be 15,555 x .018 = 279.99 PPFD
279.99 x 20 = 5599.8
3600/100,000 = .0036
.0036 x 5599.8 = a DLI of 20.16

Which makes me realize that I did not change my day light number hour…. So I am over shooting my DLI goal by 4.16 DLI. I’m ok with this as she seems fine with it and it’s next weeks goal anyway :)

And I actually need to read through my Banner GJ as I think my factor of .018 might be high. I think it’s supposed to be .015 now that I think about it…. I really need to save my spreadsheet when I make changes to it! LOL

Thanks Buddy...... your way ahead of me this time. :high-five:

I was going to ask what the conversion factor/ formula was. I was contemplating all this while I was out busting my hump getting the Christmas lights up today. I thought to myself where the hell are my Elves? Santa needs help. 🎅

The lights are up and I didn't fall off the ladder.

Thanks I'm going to bookmark that for future reference.

That might rise to 5.72941 over the next few days, but it's part of Premier Tech's plan. :cheesygrinsmiley:
And what do you know….. it’s at 5.8 after, ummm, 4 days I think it is.

Day 15:

Looks like she took her first feeding well. No signs of stress. She is slow moving though that’s for sure!! I’m sure that same can not be said for under the surface though :)

IMG_4682.jpeg

I will need to add in some more promix once she grows a bit. It always settles more than I expect it to.
IMG_4683.jpeg

Also, after some more reading and pm’s I have settled on .0155 as the factor to get my ppfd. I was using the one for natural sunlight.

So it actually puts me at a DLI of 17.35 so just a schosh over :) she doesn’t seem to mind.

Day 16:

Not sure it shows well in the pictures but a noticeable difference in size with her today :) I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the tent this afternoon.

I forgot I haven’t posted any environmental info yet other than DLI, I can’t type that with out thinking of D.R.I. Ha!

Anyways this is the past 7 days
IMG_4697.png

Some big swings in numbers there due to having the tent open for extended amounts of time when she was still DWC…

Today is the last day of that in the weekly avg :)

Not much else to say today :)
