Good morning and salutations. :Namaste:

The ladies seem to have made it thru the night. :green_heart:
Just one major conflicting issue so far. According to the manufacturer of the DWC bucket I was to put 4 gallons of water into bucket and (if I choose) mark the blue hose with black permanent marker to use as guide line to refill on fly. Only problem is, on both buckets when I put in 4 gallons of water it fills the water fill to about an inch or more ABOVE the net pot. Now, I have 6" net pots, so they are rather large and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to lower the level as she grows or what the deal is, but everything I've read or been told the water line is supposed to be an inch UNDER the net pot correct? Is this gonna be an issue this early? Can I correct later, like next week? Why would manufacturer send wrong directions or am I doing something wrong? Please help. TIA!! o_O

Oh I didn't see the other question, but you want the water level about an inch under the bottom of the net pot.
So I do need to drop the water level to an inch below the net pot? Bc according to manufacturer of the DWC ( wtf do they know amirite?), they say to put 4 gallons of water into bucket and it should cover about 1 inch ABOVE net pot. Which it does with 4 gallons of water. Idk what to, I'm so confused right now. 1 inch above or 1 inch below net pot???

I’m running a 4 bucket setup just getting started. If u wanna check that out. A lot of good info.
I was already going thru one of your journals, the GG. Which thread are you referring to? I will definitely follow along.

I've adjusted the water level to what I believe to be an inch or so below the net pot. It is not hitting the water anymore the best I can tell at least now when I put the lid on anyways. I'm going to need some new gear. I not completely prepared for this grow I suppose. I shouldn't according to Advance Nutrients pH Perfect Guidelines need adjusted if I change my water weekly, but I do not have a ppm meter nor do I have a pH meter. I'm just straight up free balling this bitch out here. :eek:o_O
That's why I bought this line of nutes tho and I've always had great success with them in promix and soil so we shall see how they hold up in DWC. I'm just so FUCKING broke right now. I'll get what I have too, when and only absolutely when I HAVE TOO untill after the birthday of the little Baby Jesus Dude. :yummy:

You want the water an inch below the net pot so the medium can dry out (or, in the case of a top feed, just not be 'saturated'). If the water is an inch above, the rapid rooter would be "too wet" or saturated. The roots can't breathe in that environment. You want to make sure to have an air stone or two in the bucket to bring more O2 to the roots, but it also sends mist on to the bottom of the net pot. The roots will seek this water out, and eventually find their way to the surface of the water, and submerge themselves.

You still want the water an inch below the net pot at all times, even with roots submerged.

I have had to drop the water level again bc apparently I didn't get it low enough yesterday. Yes Aspen I do have stones there are 1.75" air stones in each bucket. The net pot is currently too wet so I've dropped the water level again and hopefully I've got it right this time.

I believe I previously promised there would random shots of eye candy and shall not fail to deliver. I have been over to my other grow. I have 5 ladies that are in week 8 of flower. They have all, but 1 just started flushing this weekend and I will not wait any longer to show you all what they look like. One cola in particular is gonna be massive by the end of harvest. The one lady in the back is a few weeks behind bc I had a hiccup and accidently planted an auto and took a from couple weeks to realize what I had done... So she'll be a few or couple weeks late not really sure... Don't remember... My medicine makes me forgetful.... Anyway, they are under 1000w HPS and Solar System 550 LED in their own special built room that had a journal at one time that fell off... Sorry bout that guys. P.S. it's a jungle in there!!!
