Yes but I was thinking after watching the video that she was inoculating the top of the bag. But now that I think of it that was just grain. Damn it to hell anyways! I’m pissed @ myself now! Insert many bad words here. CL

Don't be hard on yourself! I got instructions sheets with each bag, I went by those and some videos. There's a difference between the spawn bags and the all in one. That confused me at first too.

I see you're new to mushies, but you're already clued-up better than most.

This is a good idea, although it will probably work you've probably added more than a month to the process. It will colonise quite slowly as the grain is what the mycelium feeds on, and if its spread out amongst the substrate it will have difficulties linking up

Thanks. I kind of figured it would slow the process down considerably, I used less cc's than most and mine went a little slower. Since he is out of spores, it's probably the only choice and I think it stands a good chance as well. Mix it really well, it's hard to do in the bag...but can be done.

I would probably remove the micropore tape you put on the filter as well. That needs to let air flow through.

That depends on how patient he is haha!

If he's already put 5cc in it, I wouldn't put too much more in it.

Could order another bag, and split a new syringe? You would really only need 1cc more for your current one

Yeah I thought about that too and I also thought about mixing it up together. But I think if it doesn’t work then this might just be the end of my fungus fun. I think I invested enuff now that I could’ve driven to Florida and picked some. CL

Good evening Captain

If the bag colonizes, you could do a grain to grain transfer inside a still air box. Making spawn in mason jars is quite easy and probably cheaper than buying those bags if you have a pressure cooker. Or if you get some fruits you could get your own spore prints and learn how to transfer them to agar. Either way your gonna need a pressure cooker suitable for canning. Just a thought and good luck. Fingers crossed.

I think if you just put the bag in a dark area for a week or so you will see some mycelial growth.
Good Luck on your diary, and don't beat yourself up. I had missteps and the mycelial grew anyways.

Patience is key growing our girls and more so grow shrooms.

Thanks Tok, I can’t believe that I messed up so badly. It wasn’t a good day for me to be attempting the inoculation job. I should’ve quit when things first started going wrong but it’s live n learn now. I’m just hoping that I can get a batch of mushies from it. CL
