When I lived in Puerto Rico I used to ransack the cow fields for shrooms. We used to bring cow pies home that had pin heads on them. We would set them out in the yard until they produced. Good times nearly 35 years ago.

We used to go to the fields near Seattle hunting Liberty Caps some 45 years ago. Grand adventures!

Hmm, side-pinning must be just the way PM is. Actually, I've been microdosing on the produce from the AIO today. Nibbled a bunch of minis from the bases of the 4 I harvested, then I ate a 1/2" of stem from 3 of them. A light buzz from a microdose but I def feel it. Not as much body load as Blue Yeti. Getting kinda giggly too.

Now why didn’t we ever think of that when I lived in Florida? Must’ve been having too much fun being chased by angry livestock n farmers. lol CL

Never got chased by the farmer but got chased by an angry bull. My buddy was throwing rocks at him cause he was hanging out in an area of the pasture that was loaded with shrooms and we did not want to get too close to him. As he was chasing us I had the episode of bugs bunny as a matador flashing thru my head. You know the one where the bull is chalking up his horns. It's funny now but not that day.

Tell you what, CL, if I was younger I'd love to experiment with some more hippo doses like the fresh harvested Blue Yeti I chowed down on several months ago. It was just too way much for me at my age and health, though, so now I'm microdosing and limiting occasional full doses to 1 to 2.5 dry grams.

Took the first harvest of the 1st flush from the Purple Mystic-X Monotub today, a pair of good-sized cliff dwellers from the back end. Many, many cliff dwellers among the PM clan. I've named the area Side-Pin City.
The plains dwellers will require a few more daze to acquire their magic, but I've already pulled two from Side-Pin City, almost 31 grams combined.

No harvest yet in this tub but it isn't more than a few days behind the PM-X. Not near as much side growth. The BMC cake has also transpired far less than either the PM-X or the PM-AIO. Whether that is a genetic characteristic of this strain or if the cake needs water, I don't know. I squirted in 10cc of distilled water on each side of the cake to see what happens. That isn't enough to cause problems if it isn't a water shortage and it may encourage a faster flush (or so I am telling myself). Stay tuned!

What was you doin' to their livestock? or was you scampering from the barn after seeing the farmer's daughter?

This morning, the BMC Monotub substrate cake has completely absorbed the 40cc of water I gave it last night and the shrooms have gotten visibly bigger (bigger than w/o the water? Can't say). Interesting because I recall when I weighed both 5# bags of substrate, both were a tad light but one was lighter than the other and had an older date code. My conclusion is it had less water in it, somewhat less than field capacity. Add the losses due to evaporation up to now and it appears to have been enough to slow the process.
Anyway, I'm going to add another 60cc today to insure there is adequate H2O for the 1st flush. The plan is 10cc for each narrow side and 20cc for the wider sides.
I also had a peek at the Purple Mystic AIO under the towel. Lots and lots of aborts but none getting bigger. Added 50cc aqua to the tub. Noted FUZZ growing on some of the aborts around the bottom so it may be time to relegate this one to the compost bin.
Looks like more cliff-dwellers on the PM-X cake will be ready to pluck later today and yesterday's gifts are still in the oven drying at 125-130F.

Pulled another 50g of PM today for a 1st flush running total of 81g for PM. Added 60cc more H2O to the BMC and it's still absorbing it this evening.
