You're doing a great job with your latest gardening efforts and journal. I like the background scenery shots with your main line of plants in the foreground, and I'm sure whatever you do will be good. But after the gardening is over, I'm always interested in the smoke reports, especially if someone finds a real humdinger.

Sorry mate to be clear I think I might have got the two plants mixed up early on in terms of who was who strain wise. Ive called her White Widow, suspect shes actually the Zkittlez.

They were in what I would call a true LOS, but I found it heavy, lacking aeration, and ran out of gas a bit early.

Manufacturer did recommend 50L plus per plant, no way was that gonna work for me in a tent.

Your style maybe, outdoors and frequent tending and attention, but I purchased about 150L before I found the 50L recommendation.

Ive switched over from the Blueberry onwards on to a peat/coir canna mix, and using slow release nutrients.

I really cant vouch for anything I grow, Im only a casual user.

For my own stash I look for a smoke that leaves me feeling vibrant and engaging, and half the genetics I have here are for that purpose only.

My local growmie and friends are happy to provide feedback though, and I am looking for a killer mix for the seasoned users, let you know if I find something that fits the criteria.

Bit of a weird day, but here goes.

All but certain I pushed the feed on the BB too far. More curls than Shirley Temple.

Basically killing this thing slowly. Taking all my patience not to just bin her, dust my hands and move on.

What a shit show.

Found my soaking seed tipped over. Cat for sure. More fool me for thinking inside could be safe.

As much as it hurts think Ill toss it and try another. Im definitely one of those hovering, nervous parents that cant breathe till its a week above ground, best to avoid additional anxiety.

The Barneys girls are just doing their thing quietly and steadily. Fuzzy tops are well in, gets my motor running everytime.

Righto here we go.

Recently one of the sponsors reached out and offered me an opportunity to do a sponsored grow.

There has been a slight delay given the product shipped to me had a release date that changed, and so, to ensure my obligations were met, thought it best to be certain before beginning the grow journal.

As it turns out this Wednesday I have a free evening, so that will now mark the day of commencement.

From there I will commit to an extended weekend overview and summary weekly, dotted with smaller regular updates.

Hoping to put together some polished content, and I hope you guys can drop by and check it out.
Im lucky to have some of the best journal makers pop in here (at least in my opinion) so any feedback or constructive criticism is more than welcome and encouraged.

This place, 420, has always served as inspiration, and held me to account to be honest to myself about my plants and all the wins and fails. Its also been a great source of information, ideas, and good people.

Not just accomplished growers but great growers who are also friendly, caring, and helpful individuals.

That's why I want to go ahead with this challenge, to push to be better as a grower and in my journalling. A big Thanks to you all, who each in your own way have gotten me inspired enough to try it out.

Gave the lowers a good tidy up on the two Barneys girls.

Being the first time Ive really stripped lowers without a genuine reason this task had me thinking.

Probably should have grabbed a clone from WZ. Might still do next week.

While handling her the most delicious smell was in the air, and like a teenager, I couldnt help but sniff at my fingers long after the deed, just devine.

Really could do with a bigger pot, she is just bursting like all my girls want to.

Cant say if its the CannaTerra or Great White or both, but its working.

Well Im not sure about the new grow journal start date so I have decided to hold off a wee bit longer until recieving further notice officially.

Things like this are bound to happen in the crazy times we are living in, also given the general nature of large organisations and their manufacturing and distribution arrangements.

Im trying to respect the proprietary rights and the agreement originating from the sponsor, so delaying seems like the logical choice.

Once its been given the tick I will be ready.

What I can say is Im excited for the chance to grow a Runtz Muffin. I always take claims with a grain of salt, in this case though Im hoping the general overview given by Barney's Farm on their version is close to the truth. 29% sounds like a great target to work with.

This will be the first true Cookies derivative from them Im attempting, and there are several more differing strains from the Cookies origin I bought to try. The proof will be in the Pudding, or Muffin in this case.

Changing a few things for this one, not radical, hopefully steps in right direction like, a bigger pot early, some new supplementary nutrients, and starting her off in the grow medium from seed.

The promise in the two Barneys flower girls at the moment gives me plenty of scope to aim for a beautiful plant and a satisfying grow that yields a worthy harvested set of buds.

Each plant teaches me a little more about whats important to focus on, which steps are true, and which are mis-steps. We will see if Im ready.

So word came through today, case of hurry up and wait with new journal.

No biggie.

Barneys Flower girls are humming along despite the heat.

Im still noticing some yellowing of the lowers after careful PH adjustments to the water, so at this point Im concluding that additional N will be required.

Kinda fits given they all seem to start out a real verdent version that limes off slowly as the grow progresses ending in yellowing.

If I can add some N this will hopefully solve the issue permanently.

The pics under lights dont show it too well but this BB clone is much fuller in her green.

Raised an eyebrow today, I gave her a couple inches extra depth in her uppot, and already shes claimed the bottom.

The upcoming Runtz will be the first to go a larger capacity pot. Im curious if it will make a significant difference. Whatever else is mediocre so far its not been the roots, in my grows they have been giving their best showing.

Speaking of Runtz she started to try poking her head up today, heartened me greatly.

First time Ive wintered a canna seed for a prolonged period prior to planting, bodes well for the others still there in the fridge.

Lastly heres my BB. She seems mite free, and still a significant ways from the finish line, although yesterday was day 49 (7 weeks) from flip.

Her 60 days from pistils is pencilled in at March 3rd.

Might be all of that yet....if she doesnt demise prior. So hard to look at. SMH.
I have no idea what to do to help her short of trimming her failed growth.

Where there is green, theres hope I guess....

This look a bit like your Zkittlez toward the end @Trala ? Reckon theres a case for too many nutes if it did.

Runtz is up. Looks a bit limey, but its early days, probably moved past her jaundice stage overnight.

Its killer hot today.

Off to see 4 of my girls that started in my tents tonight. See if I can get a pic, they looked fantastic last time in their new homes.

2 are under old school hps, that fucking tickled me at the time. Full bat wing covers and all!

Also get some feedback from most recent harvests.

The Zkittlez (5th plant) that went outdoors got the chop last weekend. Curious to see how she turned out bud wise.

Its been nice to help out and kinda share the love and variety around, be a whole lot nicer if we didnt have to work in the shadows.

Its also interesting to see different grow style approaches. I can get locked into ideals, but it doesnt make me right.

I’m not sure yet really. And you’re right. I didn’t read the nute directions. I was double dosing. I actually blame you guys. You know I don’t read directions and yet you leave me with a 4kg bucket of disaster and a measuring spoon. Of course I was gonna fuck it. Lolling. I’ve actually made myself a visual reminder of both ratios and to always write them down first, legit have my measuring spoon next to my 2023 grow diary.

My little monster Pee will be the one to tell me. She is an exact replica of Olivia. So far she looks like a different plant. Olivia had really airy bud and looked clinically depressed. Time will tell. If it was user error or genetics. If I use history as my guide, it will be me fo sho.

My poor old Blueberry has taken a real beating, and shuffling to the line.

Honestly she could have been anything given her veg, sadly shes been steadily destroyed at my hand.

Her offspring gives me 10x the hope.

Found more mites near her bottom growth. I really cant wait to clear her out and try and put the problem to rest.

The other 2 flower girls started eating up their lowers again. Cant help but observe it seems to be appearing in a number of places I go to look at here.

Not sure it makes me feel better though.

They are only 3 weeks in to a 10 week period which is concerning, as the rate they are dropping leaves they wont make that timeline.

Might be a little late to correct fully, gonna try a higher N mix feed in their watering next.

For the clone the couple changes needed I think are running a veg feed longer, and adding in some higher N ammendment on the uppot.

The only other thing can think of is giving a few epsom salts to correct a lockout.

Id really like to solve both the mites and Nitrogen problem, be nice to see a smooth consistent grow or 2.
