So tonight Im tidying up the vege patch and I think I found the problem.

I have like a million spidermites in the pumpkin patch. Zero exaggeration.

Paddock behind us was harvested a few weeks ago, now Im certain they just migrated in and took the fuck over.

Never seen anything like it, truly nightmare material.

No two ways about it growing through the dry heat in this location is pushing shit uphill all the way.

Canna wise Im counting the days on the White Widow. Checked her trichs, sugar leaves are abundant ambers and a smattering on buds.

I want to give her every chance to finish swollen, and the countdown is on.

Theres some things in planning stage gonna have to commit to, though my mind is drifting to bigger picture thoughts.

After these runs theres going to need to be a big change. The need to isolate and control the space cannot be ignored.

Might need go back to plan A of a purpose built room fully sealed off. Its expensive, yet I cant picture an alternative.

Need them in the grow zone and without pests. My attempts to control both have been less than impressive. At some point its back to the drawing board.

Hi Deev, I've been watching your struggles with the mites. I'm sure you did this but did you wash the tent out with bleach and then use a fumigant?

I havent Carmen, not since I set up. Ive used surface spray continuously though and reapply ever 2 or 3 weeks.

Its definitely on the cards when the White Widow comes down. Shes by far the biggest problem child.

I see others having success doing this. Did you try the Ausie version of Safers yet?

Ive used all different available products to see if one shows more promise than another.

Definitely going to pick up Neem meal to add to media mix in the near future too.

Anyway, I hope you get on top of it. It's just horrible to have mites... touch wood I haven't had any yet! I ammy be missing some infor from your journal so disrgatd if you have alreay been through this. Keeep smiling and keep growingg

Thanks Carmen. Look to be fair as bad as they are I think Im winning, but winning slowly.

What I mean is each week seems less of an issue, and quite sure with vigilance Ill get on top of them all together.

They were full on with the Zkittlez, much less bad on the White Widow, in hand on the Blueberry and just a brief showing on my vegging Zkittlez clone.

The killer is knowing they have perfect conditions and an established presence.

I just refuse to settle for controlled numbers, best practice should be total elimination. Once the White Widow is down the actual damage to the rest is pretty much negligible.

Heres probably the final shots of my White Widow girl (Tori)

Shes only got a few days left at most, probably Sunday local time at the latest before chop.

Shes getting the axe as next Wednesday kicks off a new adventure using her tent space.

The veg girls will go out soon to finish elsewhere
(beside the Zkittlez and GDP that went the other week. OMG the GDP went nuts! Its become a monster!)
so the Blueberry has somewhere to finish.

The Bloom tent thats held them is going to a dedicated run.

The WZ has shown me the way. She could do with a tent of her own. Bursting with multiple roots escaping the bottom of the pot, its crazy like shes a living monster that cant be contained. Ill get a pic later.

Big thick stem, tighter nodes and shes is going tall.

Thats everything I want in a grow. Thats the template for my grows from here out.

So here is the plan. 2 veg girls out. Chop White Widow tonight.
Jar Zkittlez if thats ready.

Move BB into veg tent.

Transfer BB clone to Flower tent. Everything started now will stay here in my perpetual.

Once that is all ship shape, the next adventure begins.

Plant a seed that I will follow from start to finish in a new journal with near daily updates.

Set up spare tent with all equipment, and grow it out in a large pot and try for my biggest girl yet filling the tent. I want a thing of beauty and size.

Like the WZ with no restrictions. Should be vegging in a few higher temps but landing in flower as Summer gives way to Autumn.

And when the Blueberry comes down in a few weeks her clone will go to first hydro inspired run.

Going to less plants with more attention, hopefully meaning better & bigger girls.

Its really a treat being under lights, they come in so tight.

Might have left a bit of swell on the table, her colours under loupe were right in and she stopped being thirsty for a good fortnight.

She bumped but not like I thought she might.

Shes almost certainly going to lose that main. Was too rough on her, then followed up making it worse trying to protect the break.

Took a cpl pics the top nodal growth on the WZ to show the spacing, shes just been a delight to watch.

Her Auto tent mate has risen to the challenge. Feels like a big step forward from the last 2.

She’s probably French or something and moved here as a teenager lolling. I paved the way for the true Aussie bogan. Took me a while to assimilate. It really did. Sprayed today.

Im hopeful things are heading in right direction.

After wiping tent down the other day I surface sprayed everywhere including inside.

It really doesnt sit right with me to have so many chems around but they are just relentless. For now its the method Im going with.

Temps have settled for a few days, but with Feb not out of the woods yet.

Girls are getting more hours in the grow zone though, these girls are a picture of that.

These were tricky to supercrop. Not least because of my nerves.

Blueberry still stacking, and her clone still vegging nicely.

After much deliberation Ive settled on this for the next grow.

Back up will be Biscotti Mintz.

Monday is the first post day of the new journal. Will put some practical things in place over the next couple days.

Losing another main.

Just couldn't have those splits and try spraying, too much movement.

Kind of caught between rock and hard place, mites not sprayed or risk opening it up.

As much as losing colas hurts the battle to eradicate is the goal .

Here she is, battered, bruised, but moving toward the goal. These pics probably look a bit bulkier than she presents in the tent.

The silver lining is having her clone who after a slow start to find her feet has begun to flourish.

Same huge fans, but with tight spacing and just starting to be hooked. Honestly these pics dont portray just how out of proportion those hands are!

If I make her low, wide, in a large pot, and dont let her height get away in the stretch she will be a beast. A 420 worthy plant. Thats the goal.

Definitely want a clone from her before veg. Her mother knows how to stack, and smells a treat, both sweet and powerful.

The other two flower girls are moving toward fuzzy tops. Im contemplating a 4th tent to let the Barneys girls do their finish seperately.

God I have a crazy amount of gear here, and 2 tents and setups are offsite aswell haha. Always been the same way really, if I throw in, I go committed.

Going to do plenty Canna grow related activities this weekend.

Still contemplating starting a taller wider room, 2.4 x 2.4 enclosed to fit 3 tents, Heating and cooling and possibly drying fridge. Been doing the calculations for materials, think its definitely budget doable.

Ever since the mites moved in Ive cursed the the narrow dimensions I went with originally to ensure I could fit a large vehicle in front of it. I think a do over in a dedicated corner would be much better in so many ways.

White Widow Final Harvest details

Not a terrible result averaging 1g/day after drying. She had her mites and didnt flourish at the end.

She was a joy to trim, smells fruity and handles soft. If Im honest think she might be the Zkittlez!

Was the last of the old LOS mix, and first true tent photoperiod.

Thanks to my growmie @Trala for the push to try and tidy my photos up.

Let me know what you guys think, its a bit of a work in progress. Id like to nail it down for the new journal.
