Sprayed again today.

Definitely making headway, its a tough road though. Thankfully BB looks like shes not playing surrogate or host.

They do love that Zkittlez girl though.

No kidding its hard work with this heat. The girls are not at their best. Ok, but not great.

Two girls left this afternoon for nicer digs.

Should create a bit more room in the squeeze for space, put a bit more concentrated effort into fewer veggers.

Gonna be short. Worked like a trojan today and this heat is brutal.

Over 100F for the 4th day in a row, no end in sight (38+ for the rest of the world). Been in it all 4 days, save for a few hours. Another week at least set to continue for.

Girls have had it tough too. Wont do a run this time next year unless Im 100% certain Ive got my temps covered.

Woke up to BB like this. I knew she needed a drink. She was perky when I tucked her in.

Look they arent spectacular and Im hoping they push a bit of growth post heatwave toward the end.

Doing what I can to help them. Few weeks to go yet, weather might give me a break at the right time, fingers crossed.

In better news, once the bigger girls are done (Feb) tent will go to dedicated grow. Cant wait. Worst of the heat should be over.

Good Morning growstars.

Let start with the ugly.

I turned my light down a touch instead of raising it in (veg) tent 2. Poor Zkittlez girl got a bit toasted, the other Zkittlez clone looked like it didn't get off scot free either.

Whoops.

Both need a repot, especially the one on left. Trying to keep them vegging so the flowering is staggered to save me too much work all at once.

Who plants 4 seeds and clones without thinking it through?.....me of course.

Tent 1 got the extra pics today.

Auto has gone nuts below pot, the roots are bursting out. A final pot size is looming.

Watermelon Zkittlez from Barneys is doing her thing. Shes breaking free of all the standard hooks and I love her will to fight me.

Her nodal growth is tight. Shes more or less the low, wide shape Im trying for. Her canopy is mostly even. I so want her to do well.

Blueberry came good despite her bedraggled look yesterday. Reaching nicely today. Gave her and the other two a little top up  sip drink.

Hopefully shes finished her stretch. She just long and tall in spite of me.

Needed her own space and was meant to be outdoors. Of course she just fell out everywhere instead of playing the game of squeezing in!

Try and steer her home.

Had seen pre pistils on the Auto earlier, tonight before bed definitely going in....

Dont know whether to top her, or just call it and repot, ride it out.

She did go 5 weeks before showing so its not a surprise.

What is a surprise was chatting to the store owner today and we got talking about hydro.

Made it sound easy enough, tricky to set up and get right, but not as complicated as might be thought.

Id like to think of myself as both dynamic and liking routine, seriously thinking of trying it out though while letting the rest of the grows continue as standard.

Definitely having a think about it once the weather is a little more favourable.

Either way gonna start checking my water PH () . I have this niggling feeling might be causing me N issues.

If its not that then I need to find the answer because its never really not been an issue with the girls eating up their lowers the older they get .

Ill try this afternoon, I keep kinda letting them yellow till they all but fall off.

Classic Nitrogen issue. Like textbook.

So I did test my water for the first time.

O.M.G.

In the 7+ range at 18C. Im going to try a little adjusting and see if my pots arent drifting cumulatively over time. Almost convinced they will be.

I might try a bit of an N input on one with standard out of the tap water and see where it all lands.

If the problem is not PH, or enough N then Im really beyond what to do to stop it.

Will get a pic update in later.

Unsure on clone...fairly certain its flip day of Zkittlez in flower got her started.

Up-potted Auto and seeded Zkittlez. It was wrong time of day ideally, but gave them both a veg feed too.

This heat is just relentless. AC cant keep up. Give them a few more days and if the weather cools a bit might flip them into flower

Ive never really been much of a defol person, I like to watch the leaves for tell tale signs.

Id like to solve the problem though before I adopt the practice.

Except for one of my outdoor plants this summer, once the leaves are buried under the canopy and no longer getting enough light my plants always pull what they can from the leaves and then drop them.
It can look like an N issue.
I'm not really into defol myself as a rule.
