DV8's Deviance

Lol Deev, merry Christmas to you and yours mate
Merry Xmas To you too mate.
Is this the result of pinching every bud there is?
The three in flower are all just from hooking.
Looking really good šŸ™
Thanks!
They are looking fantastic. Merry Christmas Deev.
Merry Xmas LKA. And cheers.
Beautiful growing, Deeve.
Thanks Tra. You know I love you stopping by to cheer me on.

Merry Xmas to you and yours, have a fantastic day.
Nice vid of some real beauties, Deeve!šŸ’š
Thanks Carcass. Tra got me inspired to follow down your path. Im really happy so far.
Merry Xmas fella.
The branch that got accidentally topped should end up with 2 medium size colas instead of just one big one... it's almost not possible to do any lasting damage to a weed plant by breaking stuff off, they always seem to come back stronger than ever...
Thanks mate, sort of figured will be new to me so lets see how it goes.
It usually hurts our pride waaay more than it hurts the plant..šŸ˜
So true. Im trying to be mindful of how I treat them. Was a bit annoying.
Deev, what is this unusual game? A ball that shape and a goal? Is it a cross between soccer and rugby?
What a swarm!
Its Australian Rules Football (AFL, abbrv from Australian Football League). Love the game.

Confusing to most of the rest of the world, and even a few Aussies deeply entrenched in Soccer and Rugby territory.

Once the egg shaped ball goes away, its a short while before the leather ball and whites come out, Thats my sport year mapped out, AFL for the cooler months, Cricket in the heat.

Merry Xmas to you Carmen.

So today is unlike most other days of the year.

We all get together and put aside the rest of the world.

Presents done, food cooking, and stories being shared.

But the festive nature is never more evident than my daughters instance we all dress in loud, gaudy, silly, matching Xmas tops, all started as a joke when I suggested we do it.

My daughter was so upset Id made the suggestion as a joke, and by taking it so seriously wrangled us into compliance. Every year the same style, but different tops. Theres even spare tops if you turn up unexpectedly!

So in that spirit, have a wonderful Xmas following your own unique traditions, gathered around those closest, and may your days be filled with smiles, good food and memories made.

Xmas Eve was a blast, merriment abounded, the scoobs rolled fat as the brownies couldnt be made.

Thanks to everyone for the inspiration and instruction to grow hands down the best oz we imbided in on our festive time of year.

Boy its hot in the grow room today, and yesterday, and tomorrow.

I finally got the AC working but......I never measured it for the space. It was free, so my bad.

Ill have to rig something up, pushing 40C in there, or carry the AC in sideways, which requires tent 3 being shifted.

Jay come over this week, think we will do a collab on some of the veg girls.

The outdoors season has been terrible for everyone this year, so tents are getting more focus. It will alleviate a bit of space problems for me.

Thats a good thing, because I have my next idea in motion.

They're purty...šŸ’š

Sorry to hear about the mites- hopefully you caught them real early..šŸ•·ļø

Hey Deev. I know that insecticidal soap is effective against spider mites. In veg you can add neem. You have to spray it on covering the plant everywhere, and then rinse it off when it dries, so that it doesn't accumulate on the plants. I'm not sure if you have tried this.

Well another interesting morning.

While checking the girls I saw the tell tale speckles of spidermites.

Pretty sure its just a few on the flower girls, no doubt this heat has been ideal.

So as depressing as that situation is, heres the bud girls.

Thereā€™s a product like a smoke bomb that kills them and doesnā€™t harm plants. Pop the pin, throw it in and shut the door šŸ™ canā€™t remember the name but might be able to find it with that description?

Hi Amos, I'm interested to know what this product contains, because if there is a coating of pyrethroids on flower it's not going to usable. Is this product specially formulated for flower tents?

Merry Christmas, DV8! Sorry to hear you got mites for Christmas. :(

FYI - Neem doesn't need to be washed off but it isn't advisable to use Neem in flower as it can affect the taste. Safer's Insecticidal Soap with potassium fatty acids can be used safely in veg and flower but it does need to be rinsed off so the leaves don't burn.

I used a pyrethrin bomb as per @BakedARea 's suggestion when I had an infestation of bugs but I had no plants in the tent when I did it and after it settled, I cleaned out the tents with bleach. I haven't seen any bugs in the tents since then (last summer), knock on wood.

Thereā€™s another remedy I remember from a really troublesome growing period I had but ethically is it ok in a grow room?

I got recommended to it by an old grower here (UK not 420) 5-6 years ago. People that keep racing pigeons/chickens etc get the same problems with mites and pests.

Was with someone who funded grows but promised to keep out of it. He kept second guessing me and brought someone else round to check on my progress (caught them both on cameras I had set up, opening up at nighttime too šŸ™„)

Iā€™m convinced they brought them in. The bloke who came with him was a known grower but a gobshite at the same time and looked like he needed a wash. Only time Iā€™ve ever had them in nearly 20 years of growing.

However, this stuff saved the day with little to no noticeable effects on taste and potency but definitely lost out on the yield due to the problems but you look as if youā€™ve caught it a lot earlier Deev šŸ™

Thank you all for your input , I take it all onboard.

Im going to make some serious changes to how I do things given this seems to be an ogoing issue.

Hardly surprising given all the area around me, the flooding and then the hot weather.

That added to my seeming complacency, and poor setup for treating properly and regularly and over extending myself in plant numbers has landed me here.

I intend to start over, reset tents, treat these girls, finish my runs, and go back to two plants at a time only which was my original intention.

My enthusiasm has outweighed my management ability.

Surfaced sprayed.

Clipped the lowers on flower girls and defoled.

Sprayed over 3 flower girls.

Shifted 2 bigger veg into new tent, and seperated space between veg and flower tents.

Its not a panacea, but its a start.

Veg all checked out bug free.

Zkittlez was worst off, see if I cant fix it.

Liking the spread on them plants! I hope mine come out that way :) so many amazing growers here on 420magazine. Nice to see your babes there DV8 thanks for sharing
You're in the right place mate.

Something for everyone on 420 from beginners to pros. Ive enjoyed so much information from other growers, and lets not forget the times my sides have nearly split from laughter.

Thanks for stopping by!
