DV8's Deviance

Stopped in on Adalita tonight.

Not sure how I feel. Almost looks about the same as when I left her.

Chrissys harvested buds turned a corner today. Lifted the lid and WHAM! Got the true depth of what she is likely to cure as. Its not pretty or sexy. Its an in your face kush, sit you down and take hold kinda vibe.

I much prefer a feel good and get things done type of experience, so it will find a suitable home elsewhere.

Anyhow she came in a tick over 35g left after scales, when I got the jars figured them to be around 1.5 ounces (3ozs to 2 jars) capacity, so that sits about right with where she filled to.

Wanted new tent up tonight but be tomorrows job.

Another week of heading back into warmer weather, so my thoughts are go at least another week with the veggers indoors and assess then how many will go to an outdoors area for adventure.

Truth is I have too many at home haha, which is the opposite of my original intentions.

Thinking of grabbing a clone from Ella either way, have a bunch of BB seeds, however makes sense to get another generation from her directly, she just wants to go nuts compared to her tent buddies.

Ive seen mention Blueberry as the type of effect Id be much more into so be nice to have some continuity if she proves to be a winner there.

All hail the (fake) Sun Gods!

Reach my pretties, Reach!

And these dirty half dozen

(I say dirty because well I need a good clean up in there)

Smiling at me while leading me directly to trouble.

Honestly I droppped the CK auto, and its been a minute since thinking clean it up.

Im at like drop 3 or 4, reckon a bloke would just learn to hold on. I mean its a skill I learnt around early teenage years.....

Geez Deev! Your tent really is the picture of health and beautiful growth. You've figured the canopy thing out well!
Thanks Carmen.

The stretch brought me a bit undone, but for first girls under led lights not a bad first try.

Supercropping was always the method I used....something much more satisfying using carhooks.

Ive never had such a good mid point in my veggers in terms of lush green healthy cannas, its been a nice feeling, very enjoyable.

Fingers crossed for more good days and weeks ahead.

Right, lots of words no pics. Its ok to scroll.

Woke this morning figuring Adalita had to come down. She looked like at least a week.

But driving with a couple oz weight during Xmas holidays....fuck that. Too much to lose.

So I drove, cut, bagged. Got her in the the fridge.

Not long finished transferring her to paper bags, not trimmed. Im paranoid about mites. So surface spray was cast in every direction.

Second half of plan is to give her a day, go somewhere quiet away from home, wash, trim, return to bags and fridge, and not open for at least 4 or 5 days.

See how that goes.

That all interrupted my plans to get 3rd bigger tent up. Thats ok too. Still a few days before veggers are too much. Which made me think maybe I should just run more than 2 a couple weeks into flower.

Bloom girls got given boost from Back Country Blend. Im reminding myself they all start kinda unimpressive.

Doesn't stop me thinking the LOS I have them in is not optimal. Still, its a process that evolves.

Sugar leaves are just peeking out. Heartens my soul and eyes.

Still haven't replied to sponsor....but I had a dream last night that gave me some inspiration should the opportunity still be available.

I can say one thing for certain, nobody has ever run a journal anything like what my creative subconscious has given me inspiration to produce.

That may not make the idea a winner, lolling, will make it fun though.

Tbh, I dont need the light to do what Im thinking of doing, however it would be unique.

Shew Deev, that sounds like a mission.

Good luck setting up the new grow and journal. Judging from what you've produced so far, it should be slick and professional with some entertainment thrown in for good measure. I've also had an offer for a light. I hope they can ship to me.

Its shit but its just another front on the spidermites war.

I was after a couple of hours rueing those little devils thinking...

Fuck em. If I dont harvest they win. I hate being beaten.

Not the most intelligent move, standing my ground feels like the right thingvto do though.
Good luck setting up the new grow and journal.
Cheers.

Thats why Im excited to make it happen. My angle will be marrying the flow of entertainment with interesting presentation.

The dry, heavy, pro information style is available throughout 420. Im going to take it way over the other side.

Awesome news. I hope so too. Ill be keeping an eye out for how things pan out for you.

Couple of Goodies from @Mars Hydro . Not freebies mind, paid cash. But another one of the sponsors who do the thing in Aus.

I bit the bullet today.

I think its worth documenting.

Ella went into her final pot, and into flower tent with the other two.

Its worth relating a couple of things based on the above pics.

Back earlier on in the year outdoor grower @Stunger related to me his drilled holes containers. It was his simple method to replicate airpots.

I have to credit his practice. Not only does it actively created dense air pruned rootballs, it also ensures the plants dont allow themselves to get overly waterlogged.
Anyone not familar with his balcony grows should go over and check his journal(s)

This is why a short while back in @Carmen Ray thread
(another grower who has a fantastic set of journals)
when the watering topic came up I tried to expand on how each grower needs to figure out what works best for them.

Ella kinda shows even though my watering is unconventional, its working for me, getting the results I want.

And finally this was the reason I was recommending Great White to @Trala because even though its used generally as an additive in hydro grows, soil growers can still get some benefit. It comes from creating an early set of active health root exchange.

To be fair to you Tra you already grow magnificent roots even if your focus is above ground plant health!

Ellas the first girl to go full veg (45 days above ground) with Canna Terra, also what Trala recommended, and Ive loved it. Check out @Trala journal if you haven't already.

So she is in for 12/12. I dont love her shape from getting a bit leggy along with the other veggers, but her mains seem well developed and resonably tight.

I think she might stretch and give me some trouble, out of the seed casing she just wanted to go big, I doubt shes ready to slow down.

So my other tasks done today.

Clone 2 (I still feel bad neither has a name yet) went to an uppot.

Actually lets go with Charlie.
And Ill go with Marilyn for Clone 1, given they are Shirleys girls, and stick with the Manson theme.

Auto, Tina, also into bigger pot of Canna Terra mix. Shes runty, Im hoping for a burst now.

Lowered the veg light to try and correct legginess in new growth I created by lifting too high for Ella.

About halfway through Adalita trim. I just couldn't ignore the veg tent any longer. Tomorrows job to finish.

Moved some carhooks around, taking from GDP and WZ and putting on Ella, Marilyn , and Hayley.

Hayley really needs to come out of her LOS filled pot, need to get an extra light and tent to do it properly, might be a Friday night job.

Thanks Deev. Your plants continue to look amazing!
I agree that we all find our own style as we get into growing. Emilya's instruction is great but there are other ways. I know you already know this but I am experimenting with swick, using perlite in a reservoir to wick water to the los in cloth pots. I have no problem with top feeding / watering plants, but I think I will get a better result in that soil if I wick. I've wicked before, particularly when running clones but this is experimental and I look forward to the findings :)
