JohnnieJC3's Dual Threat 2x4's DIY QB's: Variety Please!

Lovely plants, bro! Such a greenish green. :ganjamon:

Slacker Central... Don't I KNOW IT!! Good thing it doesn't affect my plants and it's going crazy in the tents.

I fed the two Herer's 2 days ago, the other 4 plants are going to be fed toinight, which consists of Aloe/Yucca/Fish & Seaweed/ and Cane Sugar. Cane Sugar pours much easier than molasses and the EarthJuice products have yeast.. Molasses..etc So they get diversity. Normally I would give them a foliar spray, but the humidity lately is just too high and I've already seen a leaf or two with water forming and slight discoloration so drenches only lately. All good, healthy and hungry... I LIKE IT!!

I can't wait to thin these suckers out once the stretch stops around week 3. Especially the Gorilla Lite, just a jungle in there. Random thought... I think it's Awesome the two Herer gurls are on the same cycle... Yet in two different tents and 3 days difference between the tents flowering stage. Tonight will be the beginning of Day 15(Lite) and 12 for the Vivo. Pictures are from this morning Right before Lights... OUT! :volcano-smiley:

Do you dissolve the cane sugar in water before feeding I assume? And how much per gallon do you use? Do you find you get better results with cane sugar vs. molasses? And do you use any other sweeteners like Terpinator or whatever? Sorry to pepper you. Thanks.

I added Yucca and Aloe(powder) to my regimen 3 or 4 years ago and ever since then, the Color of my plants are noticeably different and I was growing Wonderful plants PRIOR to the addition. Aloe is the MAIN reason why with all of it's benefits. Not that I'm down playing Yucca, it's surfactant abilities and metabolism boosting are all worth it... and a MUST for foliar feeding.

RIGHT... I think I need some SALT... with ALL that Pepper Pal!:rofl:

All kidding Aside... The Cane Sugar is in syrup form and pours just as easy an any nutrient that you buy from the store. It's thick, but thin enough to pour No problem, even when it's colder... No issues. I use a Teaspoon per gallon.

I've never used Molasses on it's own or by itself, but the Earth Juice I use for drenches has all kinds of different goodies that add on to the diversity of food these ladies Get.

The only other "Sweetener" I use is Dextrose... I've heard of the product terpinator, but it's not something I use... or know much about. :passitleft:

Looks like it's a week to the day(last update), I was hoping for more Updates through out the week, but Life is kicking back In and that's how it goes and I'm so behind on other avenues in my life.

Moving On, last night was 21 days of Bloom for the Gorilla tent, WoW(time flys), the tent went all Amazon jungle on me and I had to thin out quite a bit of lower branches that won't amount to much, and get some airflow in the center of the plants. Humidity has been up because of all the foliage... I went ahead and staked two of the three plants, I need to go get a few bamboo poles and finish the last plant. I did clean up the Kayla Kush, but I'll give her a once over and stake her up and that tent will be complete. This is the hardest part of the cycle, cleaning them up and spreading out the plant. I also hit them with a Recharge of minerals that consists of: Oyster Shell Flour, SRP, Gypsum, Glacial Rock Dust, and Azomite, or A-Z. All three plants were needing a feeding so I obliged them with their 3rd week drench and a Foliar spray this morning before lights out. TIME to REV these girls up and watch them take off. I'll finish off the last plant and gets some shots up soon. All is Well... Keep Em' Green. :volcano-smiley:

I'm a jokester at heart... Keep it light... you left me hangin' on the Peppering joke... I thought you may have thought i was being a Richard toward you. ALL good!
Way to go Johnnie!
We Rollin' Stone... YUP... I Just did that word play. Thank you my Cannabis Compadre. :laughtwo:

Alright, so I staked up the last plant, aligned all the plants and dialed in the lights so each Node gets amazing light. The Sativa leaning Dark Phoenix and Jack Herer in the Gorilla had some light Heat issues(growing into the light, fast suckers) and a bit sensitive to my normal feeding regimen. No big deal, just hate the discolored leaves, but in the end... IT won't matter to me... ONE Bit. All is well and the small tent is Day 21 tomorrow. I don't see any more stretching, I may just knock it out tonight. A couple pictures from Last Night. Keep Em' Green.

The Family

The Dark Phoenix stretched like a Maniac, She's about 44 inches tall with the other two Around the 3 feet Mark. I'm not used to stretchy Sativa's since I grow Mainly Indica Hybrids. Sensitive Sativa's, I'll have to pamper them a little more than I normally do. Great Color tho', SO... NO Issues and minimal. I'm a perfectionist, or at least I try to be, and I'm still working out the kinks in these QB 96's, some POWERFUL lights, I checked the girls one day and a few of the tops were in the 90-100K Lux range which is NO bueno. They took it though, back in the normal 60 -70K range. No blemishes in the small tent, I know that setup through and through. Alright enough of me being a babbling brook.

Thank you @Rexer... Minor Blip... but We OK :passitleft:

The OG Kush(Kayla) has no issues other than very slight tipping and that's just me feeding the Fire. I'm used to a controlled stretch, but it went all Amazon on me and I couldn't wait to clean them up. The smaller Vivo tent plants will be much easier to clip and arrange, but it's still the most work to do(during a cycle), other than mixing up Soil for two 32 gallon garbage cans. All worth it in the End.

Got the case of the Monday's... and life kicking me in the face. What can you do but Move Forward.

Last night I cleaned up the 3 girls in the Vivo tent, Wendy P Wreck, Hannah Herer, and last AND certainly NOT least, Maggie Mozzarella. All plants looks amazing, but this Maggie girl HAS my Attention. G13 and their Freebies... always a fan, it's like a battle between Barneys Free love and G13, always pleased with Both.

Back on track here, these plants were a breeze to clean up(Minimal branches clipped and of course dead leaves), plants shedding some of their water leaves, perfectly normal with how dense it was in the canopy and lack of light... just what happens. I also did the same with these ladies, hit them with the Mineral top off and their 3rd week feeding... with the First of Four Foliar Sprays this morning.

I should be giving the Gorilla Tent a feeding tonight, I run back to back Reproduction drenches in week 3, they really get revved up with Frost. I am disappointed with the heat issues with not monitoring their vertical growth and getting too close to the light Source. Ugly leaves are irritating... BUT no take backs in this game... and surely NO mulligans(leaves don't come back green from heat stress). All good, I've seen worse where it burns up lower Nodes that can't take that kind of stress. Live and Learn... Always. :peace:

Maggie Mozzarella... Ain't she Adorable!

Hannah Herer, she's a Stretcher in Both tents

Wendy P Wreck, 4 Mains to start with, but
She's Branchy

Group Shot(Wreck left, Mozzarella Middle, Herer on the Right), so most of the Hard work is finished,
just drenches and 3 more Foliar Sprays. I do check them
week 5 to see if their is anything I missed as far as larfy nonsense

branches, but it's minimal at that Stage of the Cycle. Keep Em' Green :volcano-smiley:

Oh My Goodness... Time Flys when you are WAY too Busy with TOO much going on in Life. 11 Days since the last update, I should be ashamed of myself... But I'm NOT.

All kidding aside, Nothing is wrong with the grow or anything, a little upset I burned up some leaves, but I get over that real quick with the frost these babies are putting on. Both tents are doing great, stacking up and of course... FROST Fest. The girls have been shedding leaves, in my experience, this is what they Do with a dense canopy and lack of light and they thin themselves from whatever I didn't trim away week 3. It kicks in the most when I hit them with the Reproduction Spray(NH4) and bounce them back from a positive charge to a Negative. Both tents are on the Bulk Calcium Nitrate spray currently, and I just fed the Gorilla Tent plants 2 days ago which consists of EJ Humic, aloe, yucca, and Dextrose. I enjoy this feeding, they spark up nice (Color) and it's easy to mix up(and No foliar the Next day either). My main feeding is much more to mix and of course the Spray the next Day(or morning in my case running the lights 7pm to 7am). Both tents have had two sprays with 2 left. I always get happy when the foliar drenches are finished and it's just Soil drenches to the finish line with a few water (Only) splashes at the End. Alright pictures from a few days ago and I'll get some current jpegs up SOON. Keep Em' Green :volcano-smiley:

Kayla Kush... OMy I'm loving you already with the sticky
Candy coated glossiness... OH... I could Hug you right Now.

Holy Crap! Two weeks and NO update. I apologize folks, I threw a bit of a fit, since my Gorilla Tent went Ugly on me, which has never happened this badly, which I'm pretty sure my Earth Juice Grow has gone bad and the guy who sold me the 2.5 gallons worth probably had it a long time as well. Crazy PH swings and obviously the heat issues really turned them Ugly too early. I don't mind the colors at the end (Water Only), but not week 4ish to week 5. The smaller tent is doing Fine, but I can tell something's off this Round (both tents). Figures though, you decide to do a Journal and have your worst looking Plants.:eye-roll:

All good the quality will be there, but the ugliness is what it is. I've never had to PH my grows, but I'm going to start bubbling my mixes and this Old Grow is OUT Tha Door. The plants in the Gorilla are also drinking slower than normal previous grows. No worries, when I'm harvesting Frosty buds in 3 weeks, I won't care about those leaves anyway.

In Other News, I just had to buy some seeds during a Christmas Special, I'm getting I want to say 17 Freebies. I just couldn't pass it up. I'm switching gears and going with some Newer Stuff.

I've never had to PH my mixes, The E&J has always had a smell, but NOT like This. Has that Anaerobic smell, somethings definitely OFF. All good, I've been wanting to see how my Grow would go Bubbling for a day or 2. I've noticed here and there PH swings (Mild) in the past, but nothing like this Round. The buds look frosty and wonderful, but you can see the deficiencies and PH swings through the leaves in my experience. Alright Ya'll, I'll get some photo's up soon. Good Night to ALL... and to ALL a Good NIGHT! :volcano-smiley:

Vivo Tent....

Hannah Herer... Tempted to take a Clone

A little purple in there, but you can see the deficiencies
even in these better-looking plants Oh, this is Maggie Mozzarella

Wendy P Wreck, OMY she has HEAVY blooms and
The Fairy has Dusted them Liberally.

Day 49 Bloom, the Pics are from a day and a half Ago.

Alright and the NOT so pretty Gorilla Lite...

Phayla Phoenix A little yellowing, DAMN EJ
Grow has me Disappointed. Now I know why
I received such a great Deal.

Hillary Herer, Nice Frost Ugly Leaves, Kills me
to see them like this. Fat Bud production tho'

so, it could be worse.

Kayla Kush... she has been stinking up the Joint
with her STRONG Kush Odor. Leaves went South
on this plant too. This was the best plant in this tent
as far as deficiencies (Plural) and leaf damage. That being said, she's

a stinker and is going to be a wonderful Kush.

I've ran this same regimen for
years and I've never seen this happen... EVER. They were perfect plants before the E&J drenches. Heat issues and PH swings equals... UGLY. All the best... Cannabis Cultivators.
