Some Old Guy's New Grow Room

Real cool look with the mirror in the back. I thought that was another room with plants. :bravo:
The mirror is actually mylar it was for light reflection it does make the room look larger

I was able to identify 3 males yesterday the Nevada Privada 1&2 and Granddaddy Purple x Og Kush they have been culled the remaining 8 plants are not showing signs of sex yet. This leads me to believe they may be girls as the female plant develops slower than their male counterparts in order to accept the pollen when they reach maturity from the male plants. I have seen this in some of my other grows I did making regular seeds.

Here are some pictures of the plants

and the rest the last picture of the GDP x TS is a little crispy due to just being transplanted and moved under the lights after being left on the floor away from the bright lights. It is one of three GDP x TS plants I'm growing. If you notice it has a different structure than the other plants and I thought it was stunted or something so I kept it in the small container and didn't feed it very well. After culling the 3 males I needed a replacement now I will have to nurse it back to health.

Ok.. I have started germinating 5 reg. seeds..
Allthough I know there could be a male..
Culling it will vreak my heart.. (sad old story)
I read you can identify female seeds with a loupe it says that female seeds have a perfectly round crater like depression where the seed was attached to the plant I checked 20 seeds from the stash I have and found the there is a difference in the crater like depressions I did find some that were perfectly round I have separated them and will test this theory on the next grow. If this is true it will make the regular seeds I have much better as I won't waste time and money on males unless I want to grow them. and by the way there were a lot more male seeds than female in my seed stash.

You messed up the title, i'll fix it for you
Some wise old carpenter builds a perfect grow room*
Thank you for the kind words. I guess third time is the charm. I couldn't be happier with the new room and the plants seem to like it too.

I have a test going on if quick sprouters are male..
I placed 5 seeds in water.. 4 sank in no time.. Placed in wet cotton and 8hrs (or less) later, tap began to show on 2.
The 5 th seed is still in cotton pads for tap.

I've always wondered if the Crater would indicate if there were males or not. I've noticed craters on plenty of seeds but I have too many as is. I wouldn't want to get any confused.
I'll try test it out in another grow.

For some reason a few years ago when I was growing, I got around 80% males when growing indoors, when I sprouted and grew my seeds outdoors the numbers switched and I got about 20% males.

I transplanted the (what I hope are girls) into their final pots and turned on the rest of the cobs

I watered with the drip system and was surprised at how fast it emptied out. There is however a design flaw the control valves are hard to get to I'll be movin them soon, to a better location.
Here a shot of the mixing reservior
