Some Old Guy's New Grow Room

It's been 4 days since I flipped to 12/12. Yesterday I rearranged the plants in the room I thought the plants furthest from the inlet of the drip system were getting less water. That was not the case, the plants having runoff first are still the same, who knew? I am however going to replumb the feed lines after this grow so I have easy access to the control valves and I will be repositioning the drain table to give access from both sides to facilitate pruning of the plants. Here are pictures from today 1743171174317217431731743174174317517431761743177174317917431801743181

"I See Fields Of Green" :goodjob:
Does switching to 1700k right away help them push pistils out quicker? I figured a 5000k would be perfect for the stretch period.
My understanding is the 1700K will promote more bud sites and larger firmer buds. The 5000K promote more leaf production.
I am considering adding some Quantum boards to my light fixture. I don't know why because I can grow quite well with my light now. I guess I'm a light addict lol.

Gotcha! It's all about the flowers now :thumb:

I was only curious. I've used a Metal Halide bulb for the first few weeks for the nice tight growth, then would switch to the lower spectrum HPS when pistils first show. Your set up gives the option of doing something similar.

Haha Even though I got my new light I've thought about future supplemental upgrades. I think were all light addicts here

We are all searchin for the perfect light. I started out with led's from CLW a mixed spectrum light (burple if you will) and I moved on to COB lights by Vero, the next hot lights are the Quantum Boards for now I am stickin to the cob's in five years when my lights are fadin I'll switch to the latest and greatest.

I think coco is great stuff it makes hydro simple and the plants love it when combined with good nutes

I have switched to 12 / 12 and swapped out the 4000K for 1700K cobs and you can see a big difference in the color of the light in the attached pictures. The far red of the 1700K should promote trich production

Evening mr.Sog looks like I'll be knocking on your door to if I stumble in coco....hahah Lovely set up brother and you have it on point and dialed in judging by the last cpl of pics I saw of some flowering girls and these girls......:thumb:

I've been eyeing out a qb320 v2 but want to feel my way first with coco this run.

Loving your green fingers so far...:snowboating:

Thank you Smeegol and Welcome to my journal I'm glad to help in any way I can. My biggest concern right now is head room everything else is pretty good temps are runnin 68 at night and 75-78 during the day humidity is at 51%.
I'm feeding every other day with 25% run off I could water every day but I don't see a need for it the girls are planty big and developing lots of bud sites my motto is If it ain't broke don't fix it

My hygrometer died last night, need new battery...haha my temps and humidity are similiar to yours. I water every morning bout 6am with 500ml each and they are happy with that and not showing signs of needing anymore yet...... I like your motto, sounds like sound advice....

I was in the industrial maintenance field for 40 years before I retired. There were a few times when I made things worse by trying to improve things. How much run off are you getting at 500ml? I water 5 gallons every other day and get 30% runoff I've never had an issue with salt build up

loved the build post sog.just caught up. Room is perfect and very well thought out. in for the ride , they are some bushy happy ladies. looks like an overhead shot from " soul train"
Welcome to my journal Ganjagrandaddy Thank you my room has been a culmination of the last 6 years of indoor growin in three different rooms. There are two changes I will be making after this grow First relocating the valves on the drip system for easier access and second repositioning the drain table so I have access to the plants from three sides other than that the room is everything I need to grow some big ass plants lol.

I haven't measured it if I'm to be honest mr.Sog just been pouring it off, it's only a certain few that have run off. I haven't had any salt build up yet, I'll measure my run off in the morning and get back to you on that..
If I was to guess this evening I'd problem say between 80-100ml run off going by eye...

I just go by eye. The one thing I've done this grow is let the runoff sit in the drain table and evaporate, it keep my humidity up and I don't have to suck the runoff up with the shop vac

That's an interesting idea, so I could leave the runoff in the saucers too....cheers for that
I must actually think about a drip system next round for the girls, my back and bending don't agree...lol
