Hey Sunshine and hello to the new plant too...!
Ok Lady Reci - you gotta let that cup dry out on the new seedling, soil that wet can lead to condition called fusarium or damping off. It kills a lot of new plant starts. No more water for about 3 to 4 days would be my guess. Tilt that cup to steep angle and prop it up so it won’t fall over. Leave it propped and tilted up for an hour. Little cup will pee some excess water. It’s all good. Every container of soil keeps a perched water table, its water held in suspension by the wicking action of the soil. This will reset the perched water table to a more normal level.
Let’s hope Bill and the others jump in soon too. Critters, anything from a cricket, to a mouse, kid or household pet. Something took a nibble on your girl.
Do you have a jewelers loupe, mini microscope or usb digital microscope etc? May help to snip a fan leaf or two and scope for mite eggs on leaf undersides. If you don’t you can download phone app called magnifyer to get close up pics to check for mites or eggs etc.
