N420 Bubbles Black Sugar Canadian Comparative Grow

Hey I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. Got an update on the ladies this morning.
I had a small set back at the beginning of the week. After a day or 2 of them being under the new light they were looking unhappy and had what looked like some burning on the leaves at the top of the plant.

I raised the light all the way to the top of the tent and dimmed it all the way down and over the next few days they bounced back.

Really happy with the structure on this girl she is so wide and flat and I count at least 20 tops at the top of the canopy. Gave her a res change last night she is drinking like a fish. Just want her to get a bit happier so I flip her in the coming days.

She is still the runt of the tent but she is getting a nice structure too. Fairly flat canopy a few less tops but she is a fair amount smaller then Bs2. She drinks a bit slower then Bs2 but in general I'm pretty happy with her.

I'll finish off with a group shot and pics of their roots. Happy growing everyone!

Nice job N4! Good catch on the burning. If it does come back and the lights are still raised it could be a Ca def too as there are similarities. Nice looking roots too!
Thanks Mr.S! I was kinda surprised they burned I thought they were big enough to handle the light. I think you are right about the Ca deficiency I'm hoping with the res change and the light adjustment they will be back on track. The roots have really exploded over the last week they took a bit of damage the couple of weeks I was feeling crappy but you can't tell now!

That doesnt really look like light burn to me though.

I wasn't entirely sure myself but since the light was the only thing that changed that's what I figured it was. My nute soup was the same and they were feeding properly draining the buckets and ec falling with a steady ph. I changed Bs2's res yesterday as she had used up most of the nutes so I'm thinking if there is a deficiency it should clear it up.

Nice looking ladies! The bigger the roots, the bigger the fruits.
Thanks for the kind words @Canada Guy happy to have you! I'm hopeful all this new root development will help power the ladies into flower which should be underway fairly soon!

Looking :thumb: N20. Structure of your ladies is nice, Flat and wide. It’s does not look like light burn to me, but we all know you /// you will have those ladies back before they even know it. Can’t wait till flip. :) magic.

Beautiful root system!
Thanks King! Appreciate the kind words

Hey Magic good to see you bud! I poked my head in the tent after work and they are greening up nicely I may have misdiagnosed my issue could have very well been a ca deficiency. Hoping to get into the tent tonight to shave their legs to get them ready to flip.

Was gonna go down and lollipop these girls but got distracted with some more stem crushing instead.

While I was doing it I was noticing some purple stems another sign of Ca deficiency. Gonna do a res change on Bs1 tomorrow that should get her moving in the right direction.

But this strain has purple stems anyways....

Doh!
My bad, I thought this was your Black Sugar....
Wait this isn't the Black Sugar journal lol.
It's all good Bvb I'm just going on prior experience with the plants in my other journal. When I was first getting going with Dwc @Lewydeville taught me that purple stems could be a sign of Ca deficiency so after following his advice I added more Cal mag to my mix and the purple stems went away. I may just play around and give them just a little more Cal Mag and see how they respond then I'll know for sure.

Hey everyone well it's official the ladies are spending there first 12 hours in the dark today.
Did a lollipoping on them a couple of days ago to get them ready for the flip.

The ladies were looking quite happy leaves reaching for the sky and I'm happy with the structure. I really hope they don't stretch to much as I've done it again waited until the plants are a little bigger then I wanted before I flip.

Excited to watch these girls flower should be a good show. Hope everyone is staying safe.

Morning N420. The garden is looking excellent from here. Tomorrow will be day 21 since the flip for me. The Black Sugar stayed short, maybe triple its starting height. Very controllable, wish it was the only plant under the lights, or as of this morning above them. lol :peace:

Thanks Joe! Triple the starting height! Yikes I hope mine behaves but with you being the the only member that has a system that's the most similar to what I'm doing I'm almost certain I will have the same fate.
