Thank you my friend! You always seem to explain things to me in a way I can really understand! You’re one of the main reasons I have the knowledge I have already (you & my incessant need to research stuff ) Oh! Wait, I just thought of a question! LOL! Is there a reason or a real difference between cutting at the 3rd node vs the 5th?Looking great, you're getting a feel for this now.
There really is no rule as to when to top, I cut at the 5th node.
Once she starts growing the 2 tops after you cut you can tie them down to grow outwards, this allows the other tops to catch up.
The idea is to try and have all your budsites at around the same height and open the plant up so your light penetrates to all the budsites.
That's a good question and I'm not totally sure, I would guess at 5 nodes the plant is well rooted, big enough and strong enough to handle the stress of having her head cut off.Thank you my friend! Makes perfect sense! 5 it is! Enjoy your week love! That's a good question and I'm not totally sure, I would guess at 5 nodes the plant is well rooted, big enough and strong enough to handle the stress of having her head cut off.
Also topping at the 5th leaves room under the plant for watering.
Hey Hey! SOOOOO appreciate you taking the time to respond! I did “ask” Bill but I should have been more clear! ANYONE following my journal/progress can respond. I’m a newbie & I highly respect ALL of y’alls expertiseHey Reci,
I don’t want to speak for Bill, but I also know that you need answers when you need them. Yes that’s the right place to top (4th to 5th node or pairs above the cotyledons) but go just as high up on that main stem as possible to make the cut. So in other words when you chop the stalk leave the stub as long as possible. This helps plant to avoid splitting easily when you tie her down, the stub shrinks away later
In my opinion - no haircut just the topping there’s no reason to remove any other leaves... she needs every leaf possible you can always take more later. Light is her food, nutes are her vitamins, water brings it all together. More leaves = more food. Leaves collect energy, store nutrients, help transpire water etc. etc.
YAY!!!! Let her rest as in...don’t bend and stretch the branches yet?Nailed it, looking perfect, I would say let her rest for couple days...
Thanks friend! Ok, I know I should probably already know this but...what do you mean when you say “always water to run off effectively flushing the soul a little every time you water”?? Can u explain this to me like I’m a 2 yr old pls? lolI'll be honest I'm far from an expert with diagnosing.
I know overfeeding MC is easily done and can result in locking out certain nutrients.
Remember the MC feeding guide is telling you the maximum recommend feed for each stage,
My advice would be to try reducing the MC a little for your next feed.
Just keep an eye on her green, if she starts getting too light she's hungry if she's a dark green and you're getting issues it's more likely a nutrient lock out.
Another bit of advice with MC, always water to run off effectively flushing the soil a little everythime you water.

I love your story! Ok, I think I got it nowOk so.
Once upon a time there was a pretty little Silverback OG plant growing.
Little Silverback OG loved her meal time, the Mega crop was so nutritious she enjoyed every meal.
Not too hot not too cold.
Trouble is nobody ever thought to clean out her daiper or her feed bowl. (We all know that's not a good look)
So basically, when you water, use enough water so you get some running out the bottom of your pot, it just helps flush out any unused mega crop and stops you getting salt build up around the root ball.
Your topping looks great, as 013 says, just leave her to grow for a week, then once you have 2 defined tops growing you can start to train them.
Oops! Forgot to add the pics! DuhWOWZERS O’girl is growing like a WEED (hehehe Get it?! Weed) Anywho!! So y’all SUUURE I don’t need to do anything else (re topping, lsd, etc) til she grows 2 more lil arms?? Oh! And don’t freak out about the wet soul you see! I hadn’t watered her in 2 days, plus most of what you see is topical. I watered it just enough (with my MC) and then sprayed the leaves! I’m learning!!!
Anywho!! So y’all SUUURE I don’t need to do anything else (re topping, lsd, etc)
