My First Time: AK47 & Gold Bar Kush

Took her down on 6/9 huh? Cute MrGreene. :laughtwo: Reps for the bountiful harvest, but mostly for those great shelves you fabricated. Well done. :thumb: Will you be sharing that on the fresh harvest oil thread? :battingeyelashes:

Nice pipe, by the way. I'm partial to a water pipe myself.

I lift the screen out every time and clean the ashes out with a flick into an ashtray. My screens last for weeks. :cheesygrinsmiley:

But then I take teeny, tiny hits. :battingeyelashes:

Do yourself a favor and purchase some hemp wick. It's a great way to light the cannabis. Easier to control the flame, IMO. Plus, you get more flavor from the plant than you do with a lighter.

Congratulations! Not only your first harvest but your first paraphernalia. :slide: Careful, it's easy to get carried away with the toys. I keep winning mine, but Rad's house is a testimony for how easy it is to end up with a huge collection. :laughtwo:

You don't have anywhere to buy them where you are now, do you Rad?

I didn't plan it that way but things have been working out that way lately. The prayer I copied and put by my alarm clock to say every morning seems to be helping.

Thank you Sue. I'll share anywhere you recommend.:hugs::hugs::hugs:

I can't imagine that you require more than a teeny tiny hit after brownies and capsules.

I was looking at the water pipes and might have to get one soon. Hemp wick will also be on the shopping list.

I was looking online at the one hit kits in a box and think I might have to get one or make one.

You already did. I'm a couple days back. :hugs:

I love mine, and thanks for reminding me that it was there. I don't fill the box. I fill the chamber like a musket. :laughtwo: Pack it in real nice and it smokes easily. I get more than one hit out of this. Lol!

Last month we went into the first store since moving here. I needed a new grinder. The wife bought another "water pipe" (unlawful to sell them as bongs. Not a huge selction in the store, but they had rollables as well as the local made one she bought (Simbi.)

Those one hitters are quite common - and relatively inexpensive like the little glasss pipes - but they aren't water - Three bongs and no other pipes in the main smoking rooom in the house right now.

I guess it's time for a quick update on the veg girls.

C99 took over the 32" tent that AK47 used to occupy. I moved her there a couple days ago after putting her in a bigger pot and forgetting to water her in. She has a few leaves that look sad but seems perky otherwise. I did give her a half gallon of half strength nutes tonight in case she is hungry. It is tempting to switch her to flower but I would like to see her fill out just a bit more first. I had to raise the lights tonight so I think she is already bigger than AK was.

Columbian Gold is in the 36" tent and will get a bigger pot soon. She is slower growing than C99.

In the 24" tent there is a C99 clone in the back left, Columbian Gold clone in front of her.......maybe. I lost track of these two but the one in the back left has some sad looking places on her leaves today just like C99. The other three in here are GBK clones just in case I need some pollen.

I have 3 girls which are just 3 days into flower now, and am attempting to clone as well. I've not had good luck with the cloning though. I lost a batch before. Hopefully today's cuttings will take.
Have a good evening.

Sounds like you are headed for a big harvest.

My last clones I had in the bubble cloner did better. I think it was because I put a little peroxide in the water.

SweetSue has been having excellent results with Toast's method.

I saw your bubble cloner in your journal. Unfortunately I don't have one. I'm just following instructions from grow#eedeasy.co# for cloning in soil. One of them is bound to take eventually
RedHector

They were just talking about cloning earlier today. Maybe this will help. Go about a third of the way down the page.

SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

I used to do it with garden plants and trees in a glass of water and had about a 50% success rate. I've even taken tree branches and poked them into damp soil in the yard (near the air conditioning condensate drain) and had them take. The trick is to not let them dry out.

I have had the best luck cloning in soil when I take a very large clone - as in 10" clones.

The bubble/splash cloners are very easy and usually work.

The "Toast" method of cloning in a clear plastic bag has worked well for a lot of people and is cheap to do.

Columbian Gold looks very happy.

She could be ready for flower in a week or three after you transplant into a larger pot.

I'm going to try and transplant her tomorrow night and finish up some lights I should have had finished a couple weeks ago. I seem to be running behind on everything lately. Getting my flowers planted, summer with the kids, visiting with the ex, and getting ready for another trip have kept me occupied. I'm pretty sure I should have been giving nutes sooner and forgot. C99 and her clone are the only ones with the splotches on a couple leaves and they aren't in the same tent. Could they be caused by being late starting the nutes or just something odd from the genetics?

Getting busy is totally acceptable. Weeds survive neglect better than kids.

I would look under the leaves of this plant. It looks like something that happened, possibly critters (leaf miners?), but is no longer happening. If it were still happening, they probably would have spread to more tender, tasty leaves.

Whatever 'it' was that was causing the damage, if you don't see an insect infestation under the leaves, 'it' is probably no longer a problem. If you do see an infestation, cut off those 2 leaves and throw them away, far from your plants.

I just checked both C99 and don't see anything on the leaves or under them. I did see two small gnats flying around in the 32" tent and sprayed some kitchen safe bug killer in the tents. The active ingredient is pyrethrin so I think it should be safe enough. I might go ahead and hang a tacky strip in there just in case.

Picked up this little bat today, so I'll give it a try in a few to see how it does.
