Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

Thanks .... some day I'll have a room. But, for now the boxes work well.

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

Yeah .... it's amazing how easy it is, when you treat from day one and then just do prevention.

Just got back from the Cannabis Farmers Market in Tacoma WA. What an incredible place. Fun place to hang out and medicate with others. Dabs, samples, tea, edibles all around. Pretty good time. I hope I win the raffle again. Last time got a bunch of goodies. Needless to say .... it'll be an unprodcutive afternoon ... LOL.

Checked on the girls today. They're all doing really good. The seedlings have fully recovered. Although the lowest set of leaves are yellow, all the new growth after the mite attack is nice and green. They'll all seem like they will do well. The veg room is looking great. No signs of any problems. The flowering box is stretching like crazy. The Ripped Bubba isn't stretching as much as the Jillybean ... since she has alot of Sativa in her. Lots and lots of new growth. That's about it for now. I'll take a few picks tomorrow and update again.

I know .... not much of an update. But, at this point (till we see some cottom balls) there's not much to say.

Oh ... ignore the water in the pan. It sits for a while .... then I empty it.

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

Looking good!:thumb:... and mite free ;)

I was recently checking the lux of my light at different distances and noticed a drastic difference the farther away it is.

Is there any way for you to lower that hps closer to your flowering ladies?
From my perspective, it looks like 80% of your canopy is 24-30" away from the light.

You could use those cheap yoyos and if they grow too high just take them off and attach like you have it now.:peace:

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

It's just so much of a pain in the ass with the ducting for the fan and cool tube. I have rigid tubing. But even flex tube would be a pain in such a small space. In a week or two, the buds will be up closer to the light. I just don't think the drop in lux would be that much of an issue. If it was a 400w instead of a 600w, I would probably move it closer. But, the 600w is more than enough for 3ft x 4ft of floor space. I thought about running a 1000w .... but that would probably be overkill.

In my last run I did SCROG and it probably would have been a little more beneficial in that case since they stayed really low the whole time.

I had to run down stairs really quick and measure just to see. From the top of the pots to the glass on the cool tube, it's exactly 4 ft. From the top of the pot to the top of the plants is 2 ft and from the plant to the light is 2 ft. So, I really only have about 28 more inches of usable verticle growing space before I'm too close to the light

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

The only noticable stretch I get is in the first two weeks flower ... right after flipping. Other than that, I just don't get alot of stretch. If my box was taller, it would probably be a little more of an issue. If the box was 8 ft tall, i'd probably drop the light down a little.

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

if your box was bigger you would grow a bigger plant no issue:)

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

I heard that once a plants branches touch something, they stop reaching out. Any truth in that?? Sounds iffy.

Looking good Muttt. Glad im back to come see the SOG going on in the flower room. Wish I could give you reps. :thumb:

Maybe next grow go less plants then you will get wider coverage.

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

Yeah, I'm just feeling things out to see what works. I figured I'd max out the plants this time and see what happens. I have a funny feeling that 5 plants would be a better number. That'd leave a little more room between them.

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

Nah ..... whatever it gives me is fine. I got right around 7 ounces off my last three plants. At that rate, I would always have more than enough. If I yeild the same this time around, it'll give me 14 ounces .... more than half my legal limit. So, I'm not worrying too much about yeild. I had problems last time and it still yeilded ok. I bet i'll do twice as much this time around. I'm not in it for the money. I just want to keep myself in free meds. I can only have up to 24 ounces of dry goods on hand to stay legal. So, if I end up with extra, I can give it to other patients and they'd end up giving me donations. Or, I can make it into concentrates. Or, I could just donate it to elderly who can't afford to buy thier own meds.

re: Mutt's 2nd Organic Grow - Soil - TGA Genetics

Yeah ..... I agree. I'm not rich by any means. But, I'm not wanting for meds. I have lost too many friends to cancer and felt helpless because I couldn't do anything. But, since becoming a medical marijuana patient, I can see the benefits of this plant. If I can help out a person with cancer by donating a few ounces of meds ..... well at least it's doing something.
