Wow I'm super stoked now...from this morning one was a blip in the soil trying to stand... And now she's standing and ready for the world. I give it by the end of tonight before she's full open and the other should be right behind.

Nice! I just had to toss like 5 seeds before this grow because I couldn't get anything to germinate. Now, I'll try the steam method when all else fails! So what is the grow look like now with the seeds that popped?

Ill see if I can use the microscope at a distance to get a better view of them... Both look kinda funny lol I'm praying that I don't become master of freak plants as something is weird with all plants I've had.

The one can't make up it's mind in the soil or out.... But what ever I'll let it run the whole pot if it wants as long as it grows healthy.

And here is the mutant... It is responding well to being topped, but may be experiencing some shock from up potting...leaves slightly Droopy. But over all looks pretty good minus the pink stems which could be one of about 20 different causes.

But I am back on track

Just a quick photo update... I definitely have life....for now its still early . As predicted they are both out and up this morning... Even tho the one is drunk and doing all kinds of loopty-loops and pig tailing lol wtf . I do have a question regarding the twisted one. What are the two fang looking things coming straight out of the top of the plant, I've never had one show anything like that?...at this point I've come to terms all my plants will do something weird or need some kind of special treatment...if these do weird mutant stuff to I'll change the name of grow to the X-women .

Howzit Professor X :shaka: congrats on assembling the X-Women! As for the fangs, looks like the first true leaves but as long as the cotyledons stay green, you should see more true leaves come in bumbai (later on). My Princess Chunky is riding third wheel with your X-Women :shaka: CHEE

EDIT : Try not to domesticate your fanged young lady, otherwise she's have no use for her fangs and they going fall off haha!

@Backyardigan I'm glad you have your going to 1 mutant 1 presumably normal ....there's still time.. But yea I looked at it when I got home they are green and look like mini leaves... I guess I never paid attention to that stage and missed it....and nah man no third wheels here man think of em as red headed step sisters....we just got to treat em a little better .

Oh and before I forget I was having issues with temp and humidity.....but I fixed it with a Vicks warm steam humidifier ($18) now the temp is at a steady 77f and the humidity is a nice %60...I realized the other humidifier was a cool air so it was sapping warmth from tent.

Ok so after a slow start the mutant is taking off... It's growing super fast after the up pot and two cap fulls of straight fertilizer from fox farms pour around soil and then watered until runoff started... Risky giving straight nutes but this one really seemed to have enjoyed the dose by showing rapid growth over a 2.5 day period. It's leaves are still weird looking but I'm noticing as it grows new leaves they seem to be normalizing...kinda lol. Both northern lights have they're first true leaves. Watering until run off on them, and waiting until soil is bone dry before watering again (3-4 days). No nutrients for them until they a few inches tall and round leaves start yellowing. Temperature has been a steady 77f and the humidity %50. Over all I'm happy with progress I'm figuring the N.L's will take a minute to acclimate to living since they had a hard time from seed...and I had to force them basically to pop. Happy friggin Tuesday you green animals just a brief update. Both thing 1 and thing 2 ( northern lights) are growing well I'm finding I spray bottle water them both after they are bone dry every 2-3 days. Lights are on full strength at 16" away for 18 hours a day. Humidity is a steady %50 and temperature is at 77f. Now for the mutant it is really responding well to topping, defoil, and up pot lol I know I know that's alot of stress for the baby but showing that it liked the abuse sooooo I'ma carry on until shows me otherwise. I'm getting massive swelling at the nodes which from what I read is a sure sign that I'm getting ample nutrient flow through the plant...please correct me if I'm wrong I only know what I read or told...but I switched the light schedule 12/12 as I need to know the sex before I put anymore effort into this unknown...so fingers crossed and I'm praying to Gaia that it's a lady. But photos below of N.L's, mutant, and tent set up. As always thanks for stopping.

And I have a quick question regarding the growth... So I know alot of stems are hollow to an extent with like a straw running through the center of stalks and stems... But when I defoiled mine I realized that it had three from every point I cut....is that normal?

Wow @HappyHazmat88 Great journal so far. I have never heard of steaming seeds to get them to pop. I guess at that point you had nothing to lose. I wish I could answer you about your stems, but I am a fairly new grower myself. I am going to tag along here, though.
