my mars 300 has seen better days too with 4 bulbs out,, guess i need to work on my soldering some

but we do what we can and have a kick doin it,, cheers hooker

Beautiful colors!

I've had the best results at like 1.5 oz per plant in Happy Frog with GH and FoxFarms nutrients. Then I switched up to EarthJuice, got a little less, and finally last two cycles I tried some water-only soil mix I threw together that was roughly based on Clackamas Coot's mix. It didn't do way worse, but I didn't get the mix just right so I had a lot of issues, and I think that's where the yield suffered. But honestly I don't really care for mixing and cooking soil, I had a vermicompost bin going over the summer but it went sour--little 18 gallon stink bombs I'm waiting until winter to empty. So I went back to basics and I'm doing Happy Frog and GH again.

I've been really interested in that osmocote, was thinking about doing it in perlite hempy buckets, but just decided to go back to what's got me the best results and what I'm more familiar with. Helped that Happy Frog is dirt cheap here.

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking I'm going to throw the T5 in there to supplement things. Not sure how to hang it though. Side-by-side with the CMH, or hang it up vertically next to them so the sub-canopy can get more light.

Yeah water only mixes only work well when they are done right. I am yet to try building one. I hear people do well with the Clackamas Coot mix. Happy Frog and GH sounds like a decent combo, especially if you do well with it. I see PotChimp use some soil or other with Happy Frog solid nutes and he seems to really be doing well with it these days.

I've tried a million ferts,,,, and I just went back to the industry standard,, the 3 part GH flora series. With some Kool Bloom and a dose of cal mag or two during transition to help with the stretch mode.. Growing kids need strong bones... And it's cheaper than most ferts,, costing 80 bucks for 3 gallons.

LEDs have come a long way,, and may be perfect for a tent were you don't have alot of overhead space. From what I have seen so far,, least for my growing area,, it wood cost 1,000's of dollars to light properly,, to do what I do with a couple big HIDs.

How big of an area are you trying to cover? it cost me about $900 to cover my 4x8 tent. I am seriously wanting to build another few panels to cover my 4x4 and my small veg areas.

Those are some pretty colors on that plant! There are videos that show how to turn old Mars lights into cobs. It seems like a fairly easy process and should not be too expensive. You end up with a lot better light as well in the end. My DIY lights cost about half of the Timber kits. I covered my 4x8 for about 900 like I said above. Also that included a bunch of wires and other things that I should not have to buy for my next build so i am set up to build more in the future. If none of the component costs have changed then i should be able to build each panel for about $200 each. Each one covers a 2x4 area effectively.

40 ounces to freedom. Beautiful work this year Hook. Too many beauties to count. Those cobs are looking amazing as well, should provide plenty of relaxed vibes through the long winter.

Beast of a buck you got there too, hope it’s not too gamey, takes some skill to cook up deer the right way.

I used to get venison from the State Police, it was usually 2am but if they knew you would come out and pick it up they would call automatically. Get a couple of accident reports to give you an alibi then we could go outlaw deer all season.
