First Grow Indica Under CFLs 2012

I also like the fact ,that you take your ladies out for a ride once in awhile
Yeah I figure the dog likes to hang his head out the window why not the plants, beats a co2 generator.

Update: chopped 3 of the 2L s a little early (40 days) Wondering on the different type of buzz it will give. Next week ill chop again then ill chop a week after that. Looking for both types of highs. couchlock of bed and the head high for daytime

very nice mate, will be interesting to see how the different harvests work out, give us a smoke report on them when you finished harvesting them at different times, will be good to actually see how different they turn out

Nice little crop you got there, should be an ounce or two easily. I kinda did the same thing with my plants, two of my three plants had amber trichs and my white widow had none, but I chopped it anyways, and I like the widow the best, has a great taste, and perfect daytime buzz. You've graduated from grow rookie to amateur grower, Congrats, maybe by the end of this season you'll be a seasoned experienced amateur;) happy smoking and feel free to post pics of your outdoor girls anytime.....the anticipation is killing me, Grogr33n

Week 6, Well most of the 2L girls have been chopped I left a few to mature longer.
I have a total of 210 grams after 1 day of drying.
Ill try shortly to get some pics of the outdoor girls, Ive havent been to visit in a while i think its about time to go say hi

I'm liking that last picture, looks like its going to be super heady day time weed, don't see a hint of amber but the fact it is a bright green shows it wasnt deprived too much nitrogen in its late stages, could make for some harsh smoke, but maybe not, hope its tasty.......how long did you flush these girls?

Hey Rook, great job and +REPS from me, too!

Nice recovery going on the gnat issue and your girls are looking great.

I do agree the other posters on the sand issue. I probably would have used perlite or vermiculite, but that doesn't mean you'll have any problems and I'm anxious to see how it works out.

Finally, IMHO, this bud looks great but was harvested WAY too soon:

When she gets ready for harvest, the majority of those white pistils will turn reddish-brown and, rather than protuding from the bud the way they are in the pic, the bud will basically develop around and encompass those pistils so they appear to be "absorbed" (for lack of a better word!) into the bud.

I do always recommend taking samples at different stages of flower so you can judge for yourself the best point in time to harvest. That being said, the buds also put on about 20% of their weight in the last couple of weeks of flowering, and one of the biggest "rookie" mistakes is harvesting too early.

Try letting some of your plants go until those buds fatten up and absorb the pistils which will have turned mostly red, and the fan leaves start yellowing and dying off as the plant is telling you that winter is close (or, it thinks winter is close!) and it's time to harvest! :Namaste:

Yeah, I have to concur with Mr. Krip here. That bud really looks too young, and should have been left to "mature" a bit. 70% of your potency comes in the last few weeks as well as yield. The difference is night and day, and you'll see when they're done. all those green/white pistils on there will have turned color, and some receded when she's ready to come down.

I also agree that it's good to test as you go, but I would have waited a few weeks for this one.

there's plenty of places here, to see mature ,or close to mature buds , but I know if your a first time grower ,it's hard to wait , I practically had to hog tie a friend of mine , whos just getting started , to get him to give his girls some time .He was very happy in the end:peace:

With my first grow I don't know how many times I posted photos of my buds on this site saying "are they done yet? Are they done yet?" And people kept saying two more weeks, three more weeks etc. And I was like "fuck my life! I just wanna cut them down!" But I took the advice of all of these experienced growers, and within those two-three weeks my buds nearly doubled in size, and then I looked like this -----> :) and was glad I listened, I could tell that bud was very premature due to how green it still was, and no amber pistils whatsoever shows it was more than three weeks early in my opinion. Be patient and reap the rewards, big fat fresh FINISHED nugs......you can do it! .........Grogr33n
