i no longer vote in plant of the month unless my vote is needed to break a tie...i think its unfair until they split indoor and outdoor.
I just wish I had teeth
I live close to a horse race track ,,I'm waiting for a horse to break a leg ,,and I'll have me some chompers
well done mate, looks very nice, i could do with a harvest like that, but we dont get the weather to grow out doors here, i did try, well the plant should still be growing, ive not checked on it in months, problem is it was fighting for space with other weeds and the ground was to wet, so ive been scouting out places for next season, this time ill grow them bigger indoors then plant them outside, but i wont plant them in the ground ill use big pots and plant them in that so they wont get to wet at the roots,
but ive been thinking of another outdoor method, im wondering how growing in trees would work, the plants would get more light at the top of a tree, so im wondering if i rigged a pulley system up that was secure and would not tip the pot over then i could raise and lower the pot to do maintanance on it, such as watering if it was to dry, or cover the pot if its to wet to prevent the soil mix getting soaked, plus having it high up in a tree would mean its less likely to be found, i know it would be difficult to do but once its set up it could be used year after year, i have found a nice wooded area that has thousands of trees, the leaves of the trees would stop anyone seing the plant, the problem would only be how to secure the rope so knowbody would find it and then find the plants, but im sure i could find a tree well out the way and use that, i came across this in grow book i got, i just dont know how affective it would be or how hard it would be to maintain
funny you should mention that, i been working on a theory about building a platform in a tree and using thin camo sheets or webbing to help disguise it, and then boring down into the trees capilary area, filling it with a medium and burying the roots in it, hopfully allowing the tree to transport nutes and water to the plant!
I actually know someone that did this quite successfully in Texas for years... then one day while up in a tree a helicopter came by and told him to stay where he was... guess you know the end of that story.
