id be careful with stuff like honey and yoghurt if your putting it on the soil then this could cause mold and fungus problems, so id be very careful using stuff like that, im not even sure how you would feed the plants with that, but im pretty sure it wont do much good, i know it contains stuff thats good for the plants but im not sure the other stuff in it would benefit the soil to much, i may be wrong but im pretty sure that they would cause more problems than its worth, but dont just take my word for it, but im sure someone else will jump in and correct me if im wrong

Ice mud just suggested a folier milk spray in another thread for calcium and P, so this definatly has merit.

Donpaul is right of course, one has to be very careful about the side effects of certain foods.

especially all the sugar based ones, like milk, honey e.t.c (lactose, sucrose), you dont want a stinky, mouldy mess.
use weak and then use 2 or 3 waters without it to wash away unused debris. =)

the weak milk spray is a solution for powdery mildew, you need to use fat free milk and mix it with water, not sure on the amounts but its all over the net, so if you ever have any issues with powder mildew (pm) then you can use this weak milk spray to get rid of the pm, works wonders, its what most growers use when they have problems like that, as GiGa said, its also a great foliar feed as well, it can be sprayed on the buds and wont cause any problems what so ever, ive never tried it myself but if i had an out break of pm then id use it for sure, just make sure you use the fat free milk and mix it to how it says then you can spray it all over the plant, but make sure its not done when you are under the lights, its best to move the affected plant out of the grow room and then spray it and let it totally dry before going back under the lights, this will stop and leaf burn.

sounds good to me!
im having real trouble feeding my babies atm. cant really afford any specialised nutes so im just using liquid seaweed.
i do have 5-5-5, bonemeal and potash, but the former isnt really right and the latter 2 are for flowering afaik.

if i knew enough i would make a feeding schedule based entirely out of what you can find in a typical household...milk looks like its top of the list, lol.

im not sure how the milk benefits the plant though, maybe jandre has some ideal, i know people only tend to use it when they have got pm issues, but as an every day feed im not to sure how affective it will be, it does clearly state its also a good foliar feed, id have a look around the net and find out what benefits it has to the plant when not affected with pm

Girls were just misted I try to mist whenever I can I really feels that the plants love a nice mist shower

nice sog mate, be very carefull when misting, it can burn the leaves when the lights are on and when its in flower it burns the flowers, i know this as it happened to me, now i dont mist at all

I hear ya DP I had it happen to me to before now i leave my lights up till the plants dry, kinda like its a wet cloudy day down in the grow room

Well I been on line all day looking for a few new strains, im having a hard time picking so many good ones, anyone have any strains that they really like?

depends what your looking for mate, the best strain i ever had and im going back 9 or 10 years was a strain called jack flash, but the best strain i have had lately was the auto bomb i just finished, it was a very tangy smoke, but then ive not been growing long so cant really comment on whats best, for all i know their could be some really tangy fruity strains out their, this time i got a chronic fruity juice or fruity chronic juice growing, will be harvesting it in a week or 2, but the one that got me more couch lock was a special kush but it wasnt a huge yield, i grew it again this time as i cloned the last plant i had and its still only giving me short but fat buds, so im not the best to ask as their is so much to choose from, im like you at the minute, i just pick strains i have never tried,

but i order from herbies, so even if i buy just 1 seed ill get 3 free, the free ones are 2 regular seeds and 1 fem seed or fem auto seed, so this is how im testing other strains, i buy a few single seeds that i like the sound of from herbies then he send me other seeds so i can try them, and that way i get to try strains that i have not tried or have not ordered, but as their are many strains out their now it would be hard to say whats better and whats not, till i have tested and grown them it would be to hard to say, but im liking this fruity chronic juice, nice plant to grow and the buds are pretty fat and long, cant wait to try it, with a name like that im hoping it turns out tangy and fruity, but ive also heard that ak47 is a very tangy strain, but what 1 person likes another dont like so until you try them yourself you will never know, so ill keep trying strains till i find something that really blows me away, but even then you can get bored of the same smoke, guess thats why their are so many strains out their, its going to be fun testing as many as i can,

I m wondering if I should order 1 seed or 3-5 seeds, I m looking for a few different mothers to run. So I really only need 1 seed of each strain i want but I kinda worried about only ordering 1 seed if it don t crack i m screwed out of that strain. I guess what I want to know is it safe to order 1 seed of a few strains. Does anyone use this way of ordering with good results?

yes growrook I do, I just got an order from singleseed, I ordered alcapulco gold , and both, vanilla & voilater kush , and got "flash babylon automatic" and "spicy white devil" for free..talk about variety ,. 5 seeds total ,, I never have issues with sprouting seeds , if there's life in em I can sprout em ,. jus say'n

i use herbies head shop mate, click on their pick and mix strain on the right hand side and you can buy single seeds, plus if you buy only 1 seed you get 3 free so herbies is worth checking out, plus they are cheaper than most others, i have had 100% success with my seeds from their, even when i have bought regular seeds they have turned out fem, the only male i had from herbies was one of the big bud#2 seeds that i got for free, but i have not had a seed not sprout, if you check herbies then send a msg with the order and mention this site and put my screen name in the msg and herbie will look after you, he sends you the odd bonus with the orders as well, sometimes you get 4 free seeds, you always get 3 free seeds which are 2 x regular seeds and the other free seeds is always a fem or a fem auto, the 4th bonus seed i got last time was an auto fem, plus i got sent plant pot markers, tin of mints, stickers and a rubber wrist band, so herbie sends promotional stuff from seed banks, so i always buy from herbies

Well I just got my tracking number for my seeds. I order from herbies head shop I did do some shopping around, and herbies is the best band for your buck great deals I ordered 19 seeds and im getting 8 free! Or more like donpaul said you never know he could send more freebies so I like that about herbies.
I noticed there isnt a lot of bad reviews about herbies which is one thing that made up my mine. I cant even come close to the prices even if I stay local and order from Canada, We got some crazy dumbass price on seeds here in Canada.
So all together I have 11 different strains coming, that should keep me busy. I think I do a few strains at once get to know them and find the ones i like.
