BTW...
I'm currently using 2 of them to supplement lighting for my herb garden that sits in a window that doesn't get a lot of sunlight and they DO make a difference. The plants don't lean towards the windows anymore trying to get more light....

Yes indeed MsMe. They are helping this grow for sure. If I had another LED in the tent so I could get full intense tent coverage I wouldn't use them.

BTW, be careful of the wally world reflectors. Ideally you want them to be ceramic bulb mount. If plastic, they can melt. And the coolest cfl bulbs have slots in the base as well. You may be aware of these points, just wanted to be sure.


Making a batch of cannabudder now from last grow. Should be ready to filter out in about 3 hrs. Then solidify in fridge.

Thanks for the advice...
They were one of the very first things I bought in desperation and I've since upgraded to HID lighting and pulled them out to help with the herb garden this year. I have them set up on timers and everything. My mother (I'm over 40) thinks it's quite the elaborate set up for an herb garden and when she comments I always think to myself "You should see my closet Mom!!!!"..lol.

you should see them today! they all went bonkers the last two days with growth. I was able to make some really good bends thanks to the stretch. Nodes have been so close it's been hard to find some spots to bend from. They are all getting really wide.

6x Kosher Kush - fem

I'm dropping 4 x Kosher Kush into a cup of RO water for 24 hrs, then I'll pop them into root riot cubes. They will veg under T5HO until this grow is done.

yes bending as needed. Bending is ok. plucking very few selectively, during stretch. Only taking a fan here n there so long as it's node at it's base has full leaves, maybe some stem, to continue it's growth. But only taking them when I really need to remove that leaf for light to promote stretch elsewhere underneath.

Day 3 of Flower

I took a few pics today of the amazing growth.

They are really taking off. I have no idea how I'm going to be able to keep bending to spread them with so much bushiness and leaf. I know I'm supposed to wait till stretch is over to defoliate. So I'm doing some really strategic plucks. As mentioned before, I'm only plucking a fan when the attached node has leaf to supply itself at the branch. And then, only if it's going to open up lots of light to other spots. The leaves are big enough that nearly any one I pluck will open light to multiple bud sites.

The pic of the room shows kind of what I mean in the back right. I took about 5-6 leaves off before the pic and near the cfl.

I also raised 3/4 of the cfl's today. I raised the LED yesterday roughly 3".

They are drinking up 1.5 - 2 gals per day. I added a mix of 1 gal of full bloom nutrients today.

PPM: 1100 e.c. 2.2
PH: 5.8
Water temp: 66.2
Room temp: 69-81
RH: 37%-45%

Take note of the pic with the orange and red markings. The top mark is a SIDE BRANCH a few days after bending the main branch which is marked in orange. It's now fully 3" above the main branch. The side branch actually needs to be bent but I have no place for it yet with all these leaves.

Well side windows of tent help. But I'm only plucking a few here and there. Also, the pvc rail you see in the front of my tent pops right off. It isn't glued. Other than that, I just spread them legs open and pluck! But really right now I am taking so few out. I do spread stuff out to look and find branch nodes to fans, etc.

Was a rough week at work. And being rent week and all, I couldnt afford to go out and buy 6 more cfl's to bump them all to 55w units. Maybe next week. I too think it's helping.

Yes, I do think it helps allot......coming up on day 45 for me and a big strip.

Believe me I know about rent week.....mine is a big ass house payment.

I found some 200 watt equivelent CFLs at Wally world in the 2700 spectrum. Don't need em anymore for a while but I got a couple anyway.
