It's chop time!

I just had to upload this small branch. Pay no attn to the brown trichomes on my fingers, I've only trimmed a cpl branches so far.

Loving the picador from thread #269. To recap on everything that's 4 dwc buckets in a 4x4 tent with a 1x1000 watter? If so are you using any co2. Another also (lol) how is your exhaust set up in your tent?

5x5 tent, yes to the rest. NO co2, exhaust is 4" whirlwind or whatever it's called, about 200 cfm thru a can filter.

sry, 1 finger typin aint my thing, but sticky keyboards are worse.

back sore, need a break. I guess I'm a bit over 1/2 way through trimming the 1st and largest plant. 600g wet so far It's got a real shot at making the 10oz plant goal and a head start to 2#'s. I might just make it. /shrug

Time for SF Giants Playoff game and a much needed break from trimming. Just weighed the 1st plant trimmed. Still have easily 20% of the plant left to chop and trim. At this point, wet weight is 850g's! :circle-of-love::woohoo::cheertwo::party::goof::partyboy:

Looks like she'll easily surpass 1000g wet, which should put her over 10 oz dry! I'm pretty stoked at the moment. If the Giants can win my day will be complete!

Thanks AK1,This is a bit off from the norm and yet interesting adaptation with them being too tall too. I'm having fun with it even. It's like I'm being challenged and saying "fuck you, I'm still gonna win".
BASS, this is Definitely BUD PORN! Your grow photo journal is one of the best I have seen. I know what you are saying about the "fuck you, I'm gonna win" . My outdoor grow just keeps challenging me this year too! First a storm flattend my 4th gen clones, nursed them back, then found mold on my best plant, have that under control, and then today I am battling mites and white flys on my LSTd Outdoor bagseed Sativa LST experiment, used organicide spraying under the leaves and will check for any more pests tomorrow, but with ALL THAT SAID, the quality of the high from the 4th gen plant is a TOTAL BODY STONE...so I am starting to see the fruits of my diligence.
Have a great harvest! :goodjob:

Gawd I'm slow at trimming. I'm at 1000 grams now on my first and the biggest plant. The pic below is what's left to trim.

This was a decent size cluster, but not the biggest by any means. I have the mason jar there as reference.

That pollen press is a large unit, about 3.5"-4".

I don't think I'll hit 1150 grams, but maybe 1100. There is still some small bud in the tent from the 1st plant but I'm tired. After I trim what's on the desk I'm done for the night.

Well, as it turns out, I hit 1140 grams with that last pile above. Got maybe 20-30 more grams on the girl, but I'm toast. Still have 3 more to take down starting 1st thing tomorrow.

So if this diminishing light schedule works out to 30% dry, this girl will net 12oz! Starting to look like I'll make the 2# goal baby! All I need to do is get about 7 oz per from the others. May not be easy as this one was a monster. Pushed the others out of the way pretty hard. But who knows. Might be doable.

I'm liking this defoliation. :cheertwo:

Man, what an awesome job!

I feel your pain with all that trimming!

That's why I decided to start perpetuals, less trimming all at once, just more frequent =P

Thanks FreeMind. Welcome to 420 mag too!

I'm on the last plant now. It's a bigun! The other two were shit. I didnt realize, that with all the intertwined branches from bending from them being too tall that I had totally buried the other two from any middle light. The bud were fewer and smaller. And as I would get tired, I was just taking handfuls of the smaller buds and throwing them into the dry ice hash bag. I probably dumped 3 oz there, maybe more. But in the end, those two netted something like 500g wet, total.

The last one I'm on now is really big. I hadn't realized how much so. I'm @ 375g now and think I'll get close to 1000g again. So, it's pretty obvious I won't make that 2#'s goal, but seeing my mistakes, it's ok. 25-28oz still aint bad.

I am seriously considering not putting all 4 of my Master Kush girls into flower, and going with just 3. I can't believe it but having enlarged to a 5x5 tent this grow because the 4x4 was too small, this may be too small also!

When I pulled the netpot out for the 1st big girl, I couldnt believe how freaking big and heavy the root ball was. It basically covered all but the outer 1 inch of the 5g bucket and solid mass for the rest. Took some fishin to get the air stone out.

More pics when I finish.

the spin pro would have made short work of that little shit, and by the sounds of it and paid for itself. I used to do the same thing, get tired of trimming. I found starting with the small nugs around the bottom rather than the tops, you will end up not throwing as much a way because of being tired and fatigued.

I am for spending $$ on anything that will save me time and $$

how does it feel to have your way with the grow goddess making her give up her goodies?! lol super haul bro! i effin hate trimming!!!!!! worst part of growing makes want to punch babies & kick puppies! i see me getting a spinny thingy at some point not to far off even doing perpetual staggered im fatiqued after oh 15 seconds i dread it like im going to get neutered lol great heavy harv bass im gonna try your method in the next year for sure prolly next run after i see the scrog results rockin grow bro:headbang::rocker::headbang::rocker:

Hey Bassman -

Isn't it crazy how much different they seem when you go to harvest them? I find myself thinking a plant is much smaller or much bigger than I thought in relation to the others often. Sounds like you'll have a pretty awesome harvest regardless. I love it when you have to dig the airstone out of the roots - I've had that before.

:bravo:

Harvesting always kills my back, so I'm thinking on getting one of those eventually. I really like hand-trimmed buds, but the strain on my back might just force me to go that way eventually. Fortunately, my wife rocks at trimming so I'm able to lean on her a lot. She's twice as fast as me, and really good at it. We kinda joke that I'll manage growing 'em, she'll manage the trimming and drying. Works good so far, but sometimes I end up harvesting/trimming when she's traveling so a trimmer might be a godsend at some point... :)
