Wow that Scrog is really coming along and filling up fast !!! Sorry to hear about the lack of HBX materials available, I had a similar issue finding them and I am in socal??!! I ended up having to order them on Amazon and bite the bullet on shipping, would be a good idea for a small local business..all organic supplies.. like a hydro shop, but focused on soil and organics..?? hmmm Can't wait to see what your v-scrog brings in the near future... I see a towering rainjungle full of nugs!!

yeah despite the mites,and insane high temps plaguing me they are co operating with my late addition of the scrog,now im just waiting for buds to form,i can see purple already its 15 days since i started them in flower bout a week ago, i built and added a co2 generator ala jandre style, and today spiffy and i rearranged the tents fixed the light timers (power outages have thrown the schedules off), im hoping the flower tent will stay cooler now its closer to an a/c vent and the tents intakes are no longer blocked,i cleaned the pre filter on the scrubber and shortened the ducting ,removing some un needed bends, im really hoping its a cumulative effect resulting in better temps and tolerance from co2,,
im just burnt on hbx right now i am tapped and have massive electric to pay,gotta make rent this week, so there will be nothing new this week, i have a mountain of stuff to work with and all my plants are in pots and good for a while with plenty of root room
thats a good idea for a store, a hydro style shop with a big chunk focused on soil and organics,everybody i know loves the organic bud i hear constantly how my bud is soooo good they all wanna learn to do what i do, i tell them where to go to learn ,right here on the good ol 420mag! i name drop you,vape n doc n hash , i think theres gonna be a boom in organic bud and veggie growers im telling the ppl at every store i hang in all about high brix the concept and results, we should open a chain of stores in all the mmj states!

whats is a v-scrog? and whats teh differnce from a v-scrog and a really scrog grow?

the difference is the shape look at my veg for a regular scrog,and my flower tent for v scrog
this is a scrog

and that is a v note the higher sides, thats the diff,,its raised to help take advantage of the light fade at the edges

its to get them closer to stronger light ,since at the edge the light is not as strong, just supposed to help them bud better as i understand it,,icemud would know better than me this is my first scrog of any kind he has done 3 so far

Hey BID,
Since you have time this week, could you do a video on soil building? All I have ever been taught is to use FFOF and throw a bunch of organic and chemical nutes at it throughout my grow. I would love to increase my knowledge in this area. Please?

well possibly, i was thinking about mixing some to cook a while,all my plants are placed and in a cycle atm,so it would be just for future use, let me ponder it and see if i have the energy, i do have 5 gallons of strong microbe tea ready to go,,hmmmmm

You pretty much nailed his question B.I.D

the V shape as BID mentioned just helps bring the edges of the canopy closer to the light... as you get farther away from a growing light the intensity goes down by quite a bit... :square inverse law:

With most reflectors and hoods, the light is directed downwards and the strongest intensity being in the middle of the "light spread" and the intensity weakening as you move away from the center of the reflected light.. (just like if you took a flashlight and shined it down, the middle would be really bright, and as you move away from the center, the light gets weaker...

So in the areas where that "weaker light" is, by bringing up the sides of the screen, this will help you get stronger intensity from your lights as well as give you slightly more surface area to grow on..
