I dont think it is a waste at all. It’s great soil conditioner. Lots of my stuff goes into our compost because I don't have what’s required to process it. Actually this week for the first time, someone took the leftover mash from my last months worth of oil making and made cookies with it - and as an awesome bonus made ones that I can eat and brought me half the batch :) Usualy that goes in the compost as well so I’m thrilled to be enjoying the aftermath of a nice 1:1 shortbread cookie - sweetened with stevia, and it works quite well.
High Amy. :ciao: Been away, lost my fn phone!. Do you know if you can get anything out of vaped flower using coconut oil and the MBM? I've been saving my leftovers for what I don't know. Stay stoned.:passitleft:

Update: Heading Into the Final 420 Stretch for 2020 :surf:

Let me start by noting that in future I hope to run the schedule so as to not be flowering indoors at this time of year. Conditions of the weather have been posing a significant challenge to environmental management. It was in the range of 35% a while back, for a while and mostly during veg, and full humidification only raised that 10-15% really. Then, this last week+ has been in the 80-90% range And all my dehumidifcation powers can only get the lights-off RH in the flower tent down to the low 60s at best. Lights-on is ok. Just riding it, and keeping the fans going. Should be fine!

Continuing on, things are rolling very nicely into the home stretch for this year. Perpetually I will nearly always plan to transition to outside about now - with some down time inbetween. This year has been protracted though, mostly because I needed to build up stocks after the summer hit to the stores. I’m nearly there and this CBD run will settle the med supplies for a bit.

So, the plants!

Candida CD-1 was transplanted into a 7gal a week or so ago, after 50days above soil.

Not as much roots as I aim for but still plentiful.

Ties were reinstated loosely.

Here we are a week later settling in and filling out well.

One of the branches is a triploid branch (3 shoots at the nodes) - you can kind of tell, it’s middle-right in this next pic and has multiple smaller tops compared to the other single ones.

The leaves are very slender and delicate - and very pale at the centre as it pushes out new growth. Good colour comes in pretty soon after though so I’m not too concerned about the paleness.

Pistil stigmas are showing at the nodes/pre-flowers, nothing in the tips yet.

Nepal Jam x Kali China was transplanted and flipped the same day, at 23days young. Here’s the little rootball...

And here is 4 days later (I neglected to get a pic on the day)

And then another 4 days after that - which was a couple of days ago ;) You following all these days folks? All the pics are labelled, JIC

There’s lots of leaf tucking and tying going on and the lowers are reaching up more and more.

There’s more light getting to the lowers than it looks like from this SaugaView®

Also no pistil stigmas yet - not even at the nodes so far. It was flipped before it would have reached maturity so will be only just reaching that now I think (it’s variable but usually btw 3-6weeks I think, for most strains).

Watching the way it’s growing and the size pot I have it in (a 14L AutoPot) I can see that in future I could easily be topping it very close to transplantIng and flipping after a 3- week veg. I nearly did it this time and chickened out. Next time I’ll know. I’m curious to see how it finishes out in this pot.

The CBD#1 is finished setting flowers and is looking very lovely. Probably needs some tidyup down low, but - it’ll happen when I can be arsed to do it, which may never come...

This one is a very sturdy plant with strong stems all over. Like, super strong.

Back on transplant day, which was October 17 and was also a lovely new moon in Scorpio, I also dropped a new seed to fill the last corner of the tent. Say hello to a new Early Miss, an 8-week auto that I grew earlier in the year and like a lot! So I’ll have a little more please :) It came up in 2.5 days.

It’s now 8 days old and residing in the small Growbox under the VP LED in there. I currently have it at 20w or a little under, the EM is alone in the box and positioned directly under the middle of the light. Still looks like it’s leaning away, right? It’s not over stretching so it‘s definitely getting enough I think. SO, still figuring it out :laughtwo:

It’s an experiment regarding the small pot and transplanting an auto as well, I haven’t tried that before. I’ll transplant when it’s a couple of weeks old.

That’s where things in indoor Eden are up to as of a couple of days ago. I snapped this group shot of the flower tent this morning so here’s how things are looking today...

Some nice CBD variety on the way :)

It’s spring here, so the critter activity is ramping up and lots of interactions happen. This one was captured, luckily, and features a couple of locals you’ve all seen before. It was a long stand-off and the turtle eventually won, suggesting that patience and presence can out-do size - there’s gotta be a parable in there somewhere...

Deeply grateful to and for you all, y’all  Thanks for visiting the garden.

Most certainly you can, wak :thumb: I’ve sprinkled AVB on food, added it to brewed coffee etc and had it work really well. Depending on the temperature it’s vaped at there’s varying amounts of all sorts of goodies left. Been talking about that with @HashGirl abit recently too - there’s bound to be data out there somewhere that includes estimates of what’s left after different temps. I can tell you that when I added about a slightly-rounded teaspoon of AVB to the coffee machine basket one morning it turned out to be a pretty wonderful morning!

Maybe experiment with a bit first, to get an idea of how strong it might be.

You can also just eat it - it’s mostly decarb’d. I sprinkle in on peanut butter sometimes, often right after vaping :)

:passitleft:
glad you found your phone! - or got a replacement, in which case, sorry you lost your phone!

Hi Fred.

I made ABV coconut oil last week but also was unsure of whether it was worth it for the high or not so I added some honey oil and shatter to the mix and then made gummies with it. Personally, I found the strength way too weak for me but if you aren't experienced with ingestion, it might be good enough for you.

Hi Amy! :ciao: Nice update! Plants are looking beautiful as usual! I am assuming AVB means Already Vaped Bud? I am curious if you can use the leftover roaches (from joints) in an oil or something?

Maybe - but it’s a whole different thing cause it’s been burnt so it would be pretty gross flavour I think. The AVB just smells and tastes slightly nutty and slightly burnt - not an offensive smell or flavour at all, which I don’t really feel confident in for a roach ...
:cough:

Nice update! Plants are looking beautiful as usual!
:thanks: Always lovely to have you stop by, Boo :)

Lost all my damn quotes and had to enjoy your post again!

No need to score that one.

Would you say they hold on loosely?
at 23days young.
The little baby plant! Looks good though :).
You following all these days folks?
No more than I followed DD's schedule he posted. ;)
This one is a very sturdy plant with strong stems all over. Like, super strong.
Nice to see a solid CBD plant! Is that the one you wanted to see untopped? Because it really could have used a topping!
Say hello to a new Early Miss
:ciao: and welcome to Eden.
here’s how things are looking today
Things are looking splendiferous.

No more that I followed DD's schedule he posted.
I worked that table up after seeing a picture Amy posted here of a sketch of the same. It’s just what I need to keep track of the carefully controlled chaos that is my flower room.
Cheers :smokin:

in case there is a magical way to make them usable.
Pull em apart and make a ‘fresh’ J is the only way I’ve ever known... been a long time since I had joints regularly. Had to over summer when we evacuated and there was no power for the vape and no pipe. I don’t much like smoking the papers. Even the good hemp papers taste icky to me. In a pinch tho... ;)
:passitleft:
Is that the one you wanted to see untopped? Because it really could have used a topping!
Yes I grew it this way deliberately. :) I don’t know what it’s going to be like, and space is premium, as is my capacity to top and train. Plus it’s always nice to get a first look. Next time I grow it, if it’s good CBD for us, I will definitely top and train for more.

:laughtwo: Lotta song for a little plant!
had to enjoy your post again!
Glad you could!

Thanks buddy! :high-five:

I have no idea what chart you refer to but I’m glad I helped!
Looking back through the somewhat patina-ed window of memory I’m seeing lines of coloured felt pen on corrugated cardboard. :nerd-with-glasses:?
This may or may not have a basis in reality. I feel like I have good garden related inspiration when immersed in your Pulitzer worthy photojournalism, is what I mean.

Yes! Pretty much every day. We don’t call it Eden for nothing

That in the picture with the turtle is a wallaby, very similar looking to a kangaroo... but different :)
Oh my god , okay a wallaby but still a very majestic creature , you are very lucky to be able to see this kind of wildlife at home I am speechless and amazed to be honest . Makes me want to move to a different country .
All I have is squirrels and rabbits eating all my veggies all summer.

A
lines of coloured felt pen on corrugated cardboard. :nerd-with-glasses:?
ahh yessss. Was strips of coloured cardboard, each representing the grow period for a particular plant, arranged on a timeline drawn on cardboard. Much more my style than a table ;). The coloured strips are movable for working out (very roughly) schedules and flowering crossover. I need to pull that out and see how it went, and make the changes. I am expecting it will help a lot for making future plans :)

Looking good, Amy. That CBD one sure is pretty. Is CBD an acronym for something or is that the name of the strain? (I called my CB Dutch Treats CBD, for example.)

Also, it looks like you have just one main cola on it? If the CBD isn't an auto, is there a reason you haven't topped it (yet)?

Nice choice on the Early Miss. I remember how much you liked it.

Here's some Australian wildlife I ran across on the web yesterday:
