Amy Gardner's First Journal - Outdoor - Critical Cure & Chaos In The Forest

Highly Keltic! Thanks for that I might look it up. I took them using my iPhone, a jewellers loupe, a rubber band (to hold the loupe in place ;) ) and an inexpensive UV LED torch. Not very sophisticated tech at all! But it got me pretty hooked on the trippy atmosphere so when I finally settle on a good macro lens for my new camera, I might revisit the escapade.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope everything is good I your world. I’m tying up this journal - I reported it as complete earlier today so the mods will move it soon I expect.

See you round the traps I’m sure :)

:passitleft:

Now that was real tour de force :passitleft:

:passitleft:

Plenty of hooch round here... :slide:
Thanks C :thumb:

Cheers Keltic (@kelticBlue )
Yeah, I thought about it but I think for me I will really benefit from short breaks between journals. I can certainly see the appeal of a perpetual journal especially if it suits the way you grow. Just not for me at this stage. As for you... well I have to say that’s up to you. Sorry that’s no help whatsoever! This seems a very personal thing – like how you like your coffee or tea ... ;)

Where have you been? I haven't crossed paths with you for months! Nice to see you again :).
In response to your query- Lately: planting tomatoes, basil, peas, peppers & cannabis. Growing several fast-finishing hybrids this year developed for specifically for the PNW.

A while back: traveling, including some time in the cannabis clubs of Madrid, taking in some fine Jack Herer hash & Amnesia Haze. Nice products & people, the clubs are great resources, but fully legal weed is a much better scene. (It’s legal to smoke in the clubs in Spain, but not outside of the clubs, & one’s gotta be a member).

Good to cross paths again!

Sorry for the derail...back to the reg. scheduled journal finale!

Sounds like a grand old time!

that wasn’t so much a derail - more an enticing snippet of conversation as the train passed through the station... Nice share about the Spanish Cannabis clubs. I’m really hoping to be able to travel in a year or so - Spain is high on the list, along with Portugal. Can you join a Spanish Cannabis club as a visitor? Was it ‘spendy’?

:Namaste:

No worries Madd - I haven’t done this yet, but I’m toying with it for next year. Will perhaps try it then.
@LaquerHead and I have both been thinking about it lately and he has collected a bit of info and advice I think. Mainly you just want to make sure that if you want the plant to stay in veg, make sure the light hours outside are long enough when you move them so you’re not reducing the light hours.

I’m considering veg’ing something inside until just before the solstice and then flowering it outside... just as an experiment... but that’s months away!

I was just wondering they really for the most part got fairly large... I am moving mine outside right now, and over the course of years have found that if you change light pattern in the youngling state inside when you move them outside they do remarkably well.... I make sure for the first few weeks they get more indirect than direct sunlight, then gradually up the direct light .... I mostly do my plants in their own pots out doors and not in ground as there are alot of benefits to that.. This will be my last outdoor grow as i am getting too old and lazy lol, and just want to perpetually grow... Not really for show as much as my med production... With the new moon coming, I expect to see some accelerated growth moving forward.. Thanks for your continued inspiration and knowledge from down under... Green days

Yep, it’s possible to join a Spanish cannabis club as a traveler. Membership requires sponsorship by a club member, but if you email a club well in advance, they seem to be able to set one up with a sponsor. One also needs a passport & to complete some paperwork.

Price: it costs about 30€ for a lifetime membership & 10€ for a yrs registration, so one’s out a bit before even picking up a product, which usually runs about 10-13€/gm for flower or hash. All that I’ve gotten has been decent quality, particularly the flower. Seems like they usually stock about 5 kinds of flower & hash. I think they also carry edibles, but I didn’t look at those listings.

They stress that one’s technically illegal if one leaves the club with product, but it’s left up to you.

Overall, it’s not a grand bargain, but I like supporting the nascent legalization effort…and, again, the weed & hash have been quite good (though I’m spoiled, living in a legal state w/ numerous dispensaries overstocked w/ killer & hence, pretty cheap bud).

There’s several in Madrid & many more in Barcelona…also more info on the web. Travel impresario & writer Rick Steves (longtime legalization proponent), even did a video episode on them that was on his site.

Aside from all that, it’s a country that’s well worth visiting: great diverse scenery, fine cities, good food & relatively reasonable to get ‘round in.

Thanks - that’s super helpful info! :thanks:

That is good info!
My wife has a Rick Steves book autographed from when she met him at an event. I will have to see if she has any interest in spain. I have been to madrid but she has not.

I could not have said it better meself! :high-five:

Anyone know how long it usually takes for a mod to come and tie up your thread after reporting it complete? I think I’ve actually done it twice in the last 3-4 days. No biggie I know they’re strapped for time and it be but a small issue, and I’m enjoying the continued chat... :) just wondering if I did it wrong. (You just report a your own post and let them know, right?) :hmmmm:

There really is no closing of journals here that I know of. The just move them from current to completed. Everything else stays the same and it's always open for additional comments.

and it's always open for additional comments.
oh yeah I get that :thumb:

Just, they usually pop in with a message to say they’re moving it to completed journals (and thanks for sharing etc). ...
From the official ‘how to make a grow journal’ guide

And lastly, whenever you complete a journal, please use the Report Post feature found at the bottom left of every post, so we can be alerted to move it for you.

So I’ve done that, possible twice now. Better not do it again! I’m sure they’ll get around to it - I’ve seen it be quite swift in the past, but they do have a lot on with the HQ move!
No worries!
