Winter Weedy Wonderland - Auto Grow - Royal Queen Seeds

These previous grow photos I've found from way back are really giving me smiles.
The following sequence is what was determined to be a Polyploid bud. Genetic mutation.
This is a Darkstar strain from back in 2016-17 ish. I cannot locate any harvest pics...yet.
I thought it might be nice to see the progression of the bud through the grow. Photos aren't great, but under blurple lights...it's what I got. LOL

We're going back in time......

I wanted to find pics of that THC Bomb plant. This was in my basement grows back then (2016). I did not do any training to that plant, and it grew to 7 foot tall. It just went crazy and I had to bend the top down to keep it from hitting the light that I could not move up any more. That was a Mars Hydro blurple at the time.

I made seeds from THC Bomb and crossed it with Master Kush. The last photo is the cross after trimming and giving a bit of Christmas cheer. LOL
Sure wish I had all of those seeds now.

Very nice,I love the blurple lights...I still use one to veg!! it's very convenient to be able to flip a switch and change morphology of plants depending on what you need or want. THC bombs a beast !!! I think I've seen a few other THC bombs and they all have that huge yeild look to them like this...what was your dry weight on that big girl ?

Oh hell, I don't remember. LOL That was almost 9 years ago, or thereabouts. I do remember that I took it outside toward the end because I couldn't control it anymore and the wind knocked it over during the night. Didn't break at all! 😆

It's really interesting to see the stems of those fasciated buds, when you get them.
More like a ribbon than a pipe.
It's the only time it's ever happened for me. I wish I would have cloned that plant, but I believe that may have had to disappear during the big FED scare I experienced that year (2017). I had a friend come and get some plants, and from there I haven't a clue what happened to them.

I've had a few. Black Sugar, Black Amnesia Haze, Godzilla Glue #4.
Sometimes they're really hard to notice, especially when the stem splits into two or three separate stems before reaching the bud, which are all normal.

RIP lady bug...looks like she was stuck in that frost storm lolol..
Lotta pple do not like the blurps but I truely love them. The plants always look different from full spec, ik full spec better by numbers but that blue/red red light combos really bring out more.. unique traits that you just can't always get with full spec combinations.....

I had to quit using them because of the severe migraines. Even trying to wear sunglasses, they would hit me within minutes of exposure.

Yes that's is a down side for sure those red/blue/purple all have strange effects like migraines, sleepy ECT I think it's weird how it affects my moods. They are also weaker for some reason. Like noticably different and weaker output. Plus it's impossible to spot issues at any point under any color too.

OMG 😳 nice lookin Pom poms there. I’ll be a cheerleader.

What that's crazy looking bro,do you think the blurps brought it outta her? It's possible, what exactly is a polyploid bud ??
I remember having a discussion about this way back then. I was never really certain exactly what it was, but general consensus was that. I am still not certain. LOL I just know it was cool as hell.

From the net:
A "polyploid" is an organism that has more than two complete sets of chromosomes in its cells, meaning it possesses multiple copies of each chromosome, unlike the typical two sets found in most diploid organisms; this condition is called "polyploidy" and is particularly common in plants, where it can sometimes lead to larger size or increased vigor.

"Fasciation"
is typically a mutation or deformity that occurs in the meristem of a plant. Meristems are where cells begin to form – similar to stem cells in humans, these cells divide and then specialize, becoming the cells that make up the leaves, stems and flowers.

I guess that triploid plant BeccaBuds has will show us all what true polyploid buds look like.

Wait am I understanding you correctly are you saying these are like genetic twins buds ? Like it's a conjoined twin ? Lmk before I let my mind fully explode lmao.....
.

polyploid genetics adj having more than twice the haploid number of chromosomes
haploid biol adj said of a cell nucleus: having a single set of unpaired chromosomes

Nah, didn't help me much either lol :ganjamon:
The etymology suggests multi-faceted or manifest in different ways in the same organism

I got conjoined twin bud outta this lol
