Winter Weedy Wonderland - Auto Grow - Royal Queen Seeds

Gm ladycannafan,I believe you posted about the lady bug that died in the frost storm lol....well we found where she used to call home....we gonna send the csi guys over shortly....
LOL, she didn't die there. She patrolled for critters and kept my plants healthy. I ordered lady bugs on ebay back then just for that basement grow. They did well. ;-)
The CSI guys would have their hands full in this old house! 😆

Oh thank the stars she pulled thru...whew.....well she gonna be pissed....those csi guys may or may not have harvested her home sweet home.....she gonna flip when she outta the hosp......lol

What was this method called??? My brain is freakin' dumb this morning. LOL I think some call it "manifold", but I don't think that's the term we used back in 2014 following @Light Addict when he was showing how to do it.
I did it, and remember getting some awesome plants and buds. I'm going to do it again for the photo's spring grow next year, but wondering if any of you have tried this with Autos? Pointless? Does it help produce more buds even though you really can't keep a veg longer with them?

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's called mainlining or quad lining or even manifolding ...I like that one too but I'm not sure, tbh I always getting grow techniques mixed up

Oh shizz I never ever heard of fluxing ? What is that ? Sounds cool ?
What you see in the pics, two branches, spread out, vertical leaves and branches removed, horizontal branches spread out, fan leaves removed.
At least I think that's what it is. It's a method I saw, but decided wasn't for me, so I didn't really pay too much attention.

Edit: Here's a link.

YES! It was Fluxing! I kept thinking an "F" word, but a nasty one kept getting in the way. LOL

I like a good flux! Here's my LC-18 of Matts from @Table Mountain Sativa Co . It's a fluxed quad. I'd go with manifold next time. That second level was tough to train and time.

Thanks Stone! I have some notes on manifold technique in the grow room.
I had made individual Scrog "netting" using garden fencing wire that fit on top of each pot so I could move it around when needed. I ran into those pics recently as well, and I think I still have those in the basement.

Ahoy there @Lady Cannafan
I spied yer proper title and figured to tip me cover.
At your service
Dave

I manifolded/fluxed the last 5 or 6 plants. The method can be busy but for me makes sense for no good reason. Last couple of scrogs I made just didn't do so well. Operator error I'm sure.
I did a complete scrog with the netting with about 8 plants under it years ago, and it was so hard to get in there to water and trim etc. That's why I came up with the individual one from the garden wire. In the basement it worked out well because I had a huge room with lots of lights hanging in different areas to put plants under as needed.
Upstairs in this spare bedroom is much more limited, so I won't be doing that up here.

Basement was just to cold during the winter months, the plants were pretty colors....but they needed more warmth.

Update:
The kids are doing great with the training. Although, those fan leaves are huge on one of the Goat'lato and completely covering buds below them. Can't even tuck them under. LOL I figure the more I train the bud branches down and outward, I can take care of that. Then I can tuck the bigger leaves in, or super crop them to get them out of the way. I did that on a couple last grow and it worked out okay.

Royal Gorilla is a lot lankier than the Goat'lato.

You can probably see in that last photo, one of the Goat'lato still has a few tiny thrip spots. Probably another cycle of hatches. BUT, it's minor and I've only seen one in the last few days. Hopefully that SNS 209 added to the watering, and using the foliar mix of it is helping to get rid of the last of them.

BTW, Stone...did I mention what a beautiful plant that is? And your grow space is always so clean and neat.

I'm on the fence now with fluxing, or manifold...or jumping on the quad-lining train. Maybe in the spring I will try two different methods. I like comparisons.

I'm thinking I'm gonna try fluxing w my veg plants, due to space restrictions I have to keep plants low for around 4 to 5 wks. I think it is my best bet.
