Visualize Whirrled Peas: A Perpetual Garden By 013

Thanks Nunya, when it rains it pours....

I‘m scoping with a wifi 1000X and I’m not seeing anything but wish I had 2500X or whatevs is the next big jump.

I’m gonna keep snipping and scoping for a minute but this really sucks ass. In the meantime will heat treat the room. The 12 X 12 is pretty tight so we can run the temp up fast. There’s info that 115 F for 15 - 20 minutes will do the trick but may require more than one heat treatment Outside link heat treating for russet mites

I was looking to do an outdoor stealth or cross the line into neighboring state and throw down at my buddies place but this sure throws a wrench in the plans.

When it’s all said and done will prolly toss & burn, no sense in ignoring some very experienced growers. But in the meantime I will console myself by frying tiny mites, I‘m prolly out of commission for a month or three.

So as we all know I’m no expert. But I am a firm believer in giving plants a last trial of life. If they were my plants I would cut them right back and try and find some natural sunlight for them to recover in. I would determine if they need water, and if they did I’d give them a light nute feed.

While they are outside I would clean my grow area. I actually clean mine weekly. I would top up the 18 hours of sunlight needed with my grow light.

I say give them another chance.

Thanks for encouragement Miss T, kinda need hope and well wishes on this one.

It’s 114 in the room and I’m hoping to climb to 117 just to be safe, the last few degrees come slower than expected. It’s taken 50 minutes to climb from 76 to 114. Well the plants prolly won’t survive the heat anyway.... I can cut some growth back but at 30 gallons each I can’t move them

Which one is the right one ??
Sorry to hear you have problems again mate. I'm really gutted for you. You've had a run of bad luck. Something good always happens after the bad though, I have found.. wishing you well mate..

Well if it was me, i would still want to try. I would cut them back, dig them up, repot to a pot I could lift and get them outside, shower them with a gentle spray of water. I would clean the grow area and I would cross my fingers.

Ultimately if this is the worst thing that happens today, it’s still a good day. All you can do is brush yourself off and start again.

I’m not hoping for an early demise of the pair, just being realistic. I will do my best to keep them going, but when Bluter talks I listen up. Gonna see what the heat treatment is all about, figured I was in a unique position with room config that it made sense to give it a go.

Yes this just trashes my plans, I should have started more beans about 6 weeks back so as to have a backup plan in the works. Yup caught with my pants down - but not in a good way ;)

So funny, my brain usually has a plan, a back up plan, and a back up back up plan.

When it comes to my garden I am a firm believer that green equates life. And as long as there is a hint of green I will fight to save the plant. I’m not just talking weed, I’m talking plants in general.

I am defs not a magic happens, let’s ask the universe type person, but when it comes to plants I just want them to live and live well.

Take this little one. Literally has shown no signs of growth since early May, but while she tries her best to cling to life, I feel I need to help her.

I sound nuts I know.

I love it Miss Trala... yep gimme patience but I need it right freaking now. I was cruising along but have been distracted AF, should have had other plants right on their heels and now I’m coming up short. Totally my bad and it’s gonna hurt.

I soaked up those 2 beans and forgot to put the tape labels on them when they hit the soil so I don’t know which is which. One is WW the other is Amnesia, still have a few purchased beans left plus scored a couple seeds from some tasty bud recently. I hope to get this first pair kicked off and then will begin popping a few others right on their heels. Its past time to order more beans too, I should go ahead and drop 5 bills at the bean vendors to be better prepared...

she’s a cutie and it gives me hope but my chicks are looking pretty sad today. Aww this sucks and you are so right - multiple backup plans!

Sorry to hear about your plants, man- that's rough...
I hope you get it figured out...shit!
I can relate a little- a couple years ago, I had 3 (of 3) turn out to be male, with no backup
plan to speak of, so 45 days in, I was starting over- took the wind out of my sails for a little while...
I'm confident you'll come back from this just fine...but I know that doesn't help much right now...so sorry this happened to you...

Thanks Carcass, yeah it’s a tough pill to swallow and this puts everything way behind schedule. Pretty confident there are multiple lessons here, just hope I can learn each of them and not repeat my mistakes. I appreciate your support!!!
Always learning. Hang in there.

don't put anything living near those things. i'm pretty sure it is hemp mites.

if you have them they will infest everything growing. they are near microscopic and like other mites can travel on the slightest breeze or air current on to new sites to infest. that is why they are so hard to get rid of. it can take years to get control if you keep missing a source of infestation.

edit : your best bet is to shut that grow down and disinfect everything, leave it sit for awhile, disinfect again, and then plant over.

I’m confident that you nailed it and real nasties are at work here. This is going to set me back for 3 to 6 months minimum. Sad part is I don’t have health or time to dismantle this grow room now. I’ve got rampant sciatica plus half a dozen other health and orthopedic issues so getting the 30 gallons setup was beyond a chore.

But for the sake of learning I’m going to move a few extra houseplants and fire off some cbd plants in the contaminated grow room. I trimmed the old plants back, did root pruning and transplanted into smaller containers. I’ve got access to a bigger microscope and yeah I want to look these fuggers right in the eye before I torch ‘em. Plus I’m just a curious person.

I never saw anything with the 1000 X wifi scope on full throttle. But a few days prior I did see a few eggs on one leaf but that was with the 30X loupe. I think that’s where the fungus gnats or spider mites were forced to retreat since the soil was crawling with predator mites.

I’m going to startup an offsite grow but that will require time and money, both are in short supply. New tent, new bags, new soil, new beans - mo money! The lady of the house works in genetic research she sanitizes, re-gowns and re-gloves 7 times after taking a whiz - so I’m gonna be playing captain quarantine for fucking ever.

FFS....
