added worms to the Crittersphere, companion plants are in place, ladybugs are working the soil & rims of grow bags, rove beetles & 3 species of predator mites have been ordered, they are supposed to eat russet mites for breakfast

Nice, add a little Craft Blend, Bokashi, and an avocado peel and you got happy worms and bugs.

Ha, just bought avacados today for worm food. I’ve got new beans & bokashi both on the list. Never tried Craft Blend, but will head over to BAS and read up.

Avocados are expensive! Also, did you build a little house for the ladybugs? I recall reading that it was important to keeping them happy.

I have not built it yet but they like tubes for nesting, I recall seeing small cardboard tubes in the bathroom cabinet…. Hmm I’m willing to lose an arm to keep the ladybugs happy

I really appreciate you digging that up. Raisins and a wet sponge, wow I learned a lot there! The architect is drawing blueprints for a 5 story ladybug condo

I think it’s pretty amazing Shed that you are grower but not a partaker, same as Trala sure there are more.
I gave it up in the early 80s after starting in the early 70s. I think it was the introduction of sensimilla that didn't agree with me. Much stronger than I was used to and it just put me off. The rest of my family all partake though!

Yes sensiimilla hit me hard with paranoia but 25 years of jumping between multiple injuries, chronic pain and acute pain has gotten me out of sorts so I try to medicate consistently.

right coast here so never been to dispensary but yeah I can see how a grand a month might get one started. I’ve noticed it all shrinks like hell when flame is applied, what’s up with that?

More beneficials released, didn’t see a lot of living adults. this time, I’m contacting the supplier but seems this batch of 1000 rove beetles fell about 950 short of hitting pay dirt.

Well hopefully those 50 are feeling a lil randy to get those numbers back up.
Maybe the heat waved took a toll on them during delivery? Either way I hope the supplier makes good on it.
