Visualize Whirrled Peas: A Perpetual Garden By 013

Hi Miss T,

Lots happening both in and out of the garden now that spring is ticking away. The grow room is trashed from all the gyrations. The 3 hempy chicks (Amy, Paki & Blue) have been transplanted into larger containers, their outer foil wrapper light shields have been removed for the photo op. They are cruising right along, they have easily surpassed the soil plants that are a week older. Hydro methods are faster no doubt. Need to take clones soon - kinda rusty on that, will have to read up again. Have a new larger dome to better torture them in. Must reposition lights soon over the new grow table

Both of the soil Blue Dreams looked pretty rough. I waited too long to upcan and it took forever for the soil to dry out. Transplanted the better of the Blue Dreams into one of the Critter-Sphere Arena & Convention Center that’s running nematodes and hypoaspis miles - a predator mite, these soil mites feed on fungus gnat larvae but crushed crustacean shells work too. The cover crop will need mowing and hay baling soon, it’s turning into a jungle. The other Blue Dream got upcanned to a 1 gallon fabric for a possible outdoor stealth plant....

Have spotted a few flyers in the room, one turned out to be a tiny moth which was immediately squished and a few other ufos caught on sticky traps hanging above the canopy.

I’ve got another exciting chunk of news to float, stay tuned - film at 11, just not sure if that can happen today or Friday let me dig in....

Hello :) :) :)

How did I miss this?

1. I love that you named them
2. you need to tape that dead moth to your grow room door as a warning to any cootie that was thinking of infiltrating your grow space that they too will get fucked up.
3. your plants look great

K what the news? Hit me!

Hey Miss Trala,

The news is 4 clones.... Right out of the gate I overwatered the clones and had to wait a long time to move forward with their transplant needs. One of the clone chicks was transplanted into the Critter Sphere - a 30 gallon smart pot running LOS. She is not as green as I want but that’s all on me since I’m learning to water a small chick in a massive grow bag. LOS in a huge container needs to be watered differently anyway so there’s that part too. The other clones were upcanned into 1 gallon smart pots of the same LOS soil.

Along with the clones a generous portion of fresh bud was ponied up, one magnificent bud was the size of my fist. Should have taken a photo of that monster before it was broken up! Wow, what a difference fresh makes.... after torching the same old Pakistan Valley cobs for months a massive uptick in taste and potentcy was realized. This bud is some real Two-Hit-Shit and I mean that in the best possible way. I will post some pics when the lights come back on

All right peoples - stay safe out there

Finally reset the lights to align properly over the center of the new grow table.... yippe yeah! There is an invasion of flying pests based on the new recruits caught up on yellow sticky cards. I still need to get earthworms and rove beetles cranked up but so far nematodes and soil mites seem to be holding the fort down on the pests. It’s time to cut some clones.....

Yeah they will land on the soil but retreat quickly mostly they are landing on the plant and hiding under leaves but that still bugs me.... I put soil covers in place to protect the hypoaspis miles mites to keep the spray solution from killing the herd and hit leaf undersides with a foliar of SNS 203 & liquid kelp the clove & Rosemary oils are supposed to repel them or kill them

Was helping a newcomer on the faq page and Bluter made a comment about using a No Pest Strip. I had observed an upswing in fungus gnats hiding under the foliage in the Critter-Sphere when it finally dawned on me that I bagged my No Pest Strip 2 a few days before to remove the toxic odors.

The Hotshot brand No Pest Strip 2 contains a chemical that’s very bad for people & pets. It is not to be used in rooms that are occupied by humans or animals. Anyway the pest pressure is on again but the No Pest Strip helps keep the flyers at bay and the predator mites are hanging on to their piece of turf.

Recently top dressed with a handful of dried soldier fly larvae, turns out the predator mites love to feed or gather on the moistened carcasses. In total amazement they relish wallowing in the pungent Neem Seed meal, figured that would repel them but it doesn’t have a negative impact. I put out a spoonful of Neem meal and watered it in - next thing I know the mites are wading thru half naked while playing beer pong - or was it peer bong?

Neem Seed meal is an odiferous fert with an NPK of 6-1-2. Odiferous - how you like them apples?? ....got my thesaurus all waxed up

I was freaking out about my previous pest issues and bringing outside clones into the garden. Did the whole quarantine thing & top dressed with a bit of Neem Seed Meal which a strong pest repellent plus it’s also a fert that is rated at 6-1-2 npk. Top dressed with a generous helping of kelp, or so I thought..... Turns out some hair brained genius or rogue elves crossed up 2 products and put the bag of kelp back in the 5-4-2 box and the bag of 5-4-2 went into the kelp box.

The Down To Earth 5-4-2 is a great fert plus it’s loaded with endo & ecto mycos. So I cut some new clones into rapid rooters, a few days later I put a pinch of kelp around each stem. Here is what I found the next day.....

See all the fuzzy webbing, nope not spider mites or even funnel spiders..... that is the endo & ecto mycos being activated. When I saw the fuzz I instantly realized the mix up, but also figured out the older 4 donated clones got doubled ferted with Neem Seed Meal and the 5-4-2 which has cooked the crap out of these immaculate clones that were gifted. Yep I feel like a stooge, one of the clones still has some green on it but it’s limp as and hanging by a thread.... I didn’t see the fuzz on the gifted clones since the rices hulls as ground cover prevented the fuzz from covering the soil. OH CRAP!! c‘est la vie

Removed the fuzz from each clone along with the 5-4-2 fert then cleaned and nuked the cloning trays.

I don’t understand what I’m seeing, K.

What for s the web?
Jesus I must have had a stroke mid way typing that...

So to translate my tralanese.

What is the web? I have never seen anything like that before.

Oh and do you know what I’m not doing this next grow? I’m not reusing my soil. For the last two grows I have just reused, but I’m thinking there’s prolly nits in the soil too.

I have fucked those Gorilla Glue so badly. I’ll get some pics today. I’m literally so embarrassed by them. And it is a failure of my own doing.

Tralanese thats a great one, just no strokes please! This 5-4-2 fert is an organic dry mix fert derived from kelp, langbenite, fish meal, crustacean shell, plus endo & ecto mycos. The webbing is caused by the mycos and good bacteria being activated. Since the rapid rooters are in a fairly shallow clone tray the mycos can’t activate down deep into the soil so they push up and out too. Here’s pic of the ingredient label DTE label

That will be good for the garden to start with clean soil. Will they ship those nutes to you down under? Sure hope they will..... That’s so not true, your plants always look happy & healthy!

Sorry for the mix up 013, but that there is one funky looking outcome. Mesmerizing. Never seen that before.
You did it for science, so I thank you for that.
:thanks:
