Venturi’s Northern Lights Auto DWC 2022 Remix

I’m trying to figure out how to quiet down this main pump it’s a bit loud. I’ve got a foot stool that is hollow I’m thinking of using. I tried placing the pump in there and left the top eschew and it cut the sound down a lot! Like I could run it full steam ahead and it’s hardly noticeable. Going to play with that idea this weekend. The one concern is the pump heating up the air in there before pumping into buckets. May make some air holes near the bottom to suck in cool air. What do you guys thing? Doable or a possible fire hazard/ heater of buckets?
Exactly as Donchiefums20 said.

I hang mine and it seems to help stop the vibrations from making more noise.

Yeah I was thinking about that. My easiest option is mounting it on the wall nearest the tent, which happens to be an outside wall, don’t think that’s the best spot though maybe it wouldn’t be audible from outside…. More than likely. I could mount it in the closet where the tent resides; and hopefully it would get enough cool air as the closet isn’t shut but the exhaust is currently blowing in the closet without the carbon filter currently. Maybe even by placing it in the closet it will drum down the low notes. I’ll do some more pondering. Secondary update; uno has her second leaves popping. Hard to see but it’s right above her primary seedling leaves

I have looped my airline with 2 large loops around my fan for air movement in the tent. Not sure how much it helps, but at least that provides some airflow over the line hopefully cooling it down just a little. Thinking about tinkering a piezo cooler in there, and running the air through that before going to the res. Not sure it would help a lot tho, I'll keep you posted :p

Small update. Uno had a 6 inch taproot! Res change for dos and tres were yesterday. They got only calmag z7 and hydroguard. Uno is about to get week1/2 nutes 1/4 strength which I believe calls for reduced: 5ml bloom 7.5 grow ans 2.5 micro. Dos, who got a bit saturated leaves has got the most leaves. I guess all that extra humidity from being sprayed by the humidifier payed off.

Onward and upward.

Hi @Venturisix I jumped on board to watch your DWC grow. Question - How long do you hold back nutrients from the reservoirs?

Well this is my first autos. Typically I think I wait a week or when I can see some roots to ensure they can suck them up and strong enough to do so. Tres is looking a little yellow, and I’m thinking I need to pop in the nutes. They all have a little root showing with the exception of uno who’s taproot is in water. I wanted to play it safe with these babies compared to my bagseeds. More skin in the game. I likely could have added nutes at res change but going to err on the side of caution

Figured I’d Give you all a picture update since I’ve been so busy lately number dos does seem to have stagnated a little bit from the humidity burn.uno is doing well as she is the oldest. It’s been a wild past week I haven’t been updating a lot. We’re still slow going here so not a lot to update anyway. The roots look good and white. I thought I saw something amiss on dos’s roots so I dropped a few ml of h202 In there just in case. The water temp may have been high yesterday. When I checked the tent was 80 but water was 71.2. None of those problems today as it’s cold outside. Uno will possibly get its 2nd res change with nutes today.

Uno got a res change today and boy is she looking good. Roots are really looking good. Pretty impressed with the hydroguard and z7 combo. New nutes were a little hot at 800 ppm but if she doesn’t like it I’m going to take out a half gallon and add back some low ppm water. Almost the weekend!

Nor sure what 800ppm translates to in EC, but the clawing is a sign of a bit hot on N I believe, if the tips go brown I would add that low ppm water, or just skip a feed and add just water.

Yeah I was a bit concerned about that clawing. I think that was from the first round of nutes and I’ll likely take that advice and add some low ppm water soon just in case
