The VipersNest Continuous

yeah I definetly feeling the leg trimming you've done. I started some new mothers and PIT I must say that I will be using your trimming tech this time around. ANd how the hell do you manage all these comments..Uhh..never mind dont answer that. I dont even want to kknow..LOL..

G.I: Yeah PIT'S gotta a job. Keeping this thread in line.I swear these days we gotta get a ticket before getting to the booth to talk to Pit. Between that and the forest Pits and his partner has going. I thinkits safe to say your definetly The Paul Bunnion of 420mag. So I think His job should be considered a LUMBERJACK.

this thread is overwhelming some days but its FUN
:rollit:

And yeah Ive never seen you have any issues with lockout either. Maybe its only a problem I have. hmmm. I do have to say that the CAP system has been a trooper and has been around for a LONG time and been VERY successful, with that sayed its still a very formidable product but I think that just like you said Pit if I was to do it all over again I would get a sentinel MEF too. Damn your fast at responding PIT!

lmao, yeah and 2 seconds after that pic was taken there were sounds of a rip roaring chainsaw and buds flying all over the place! lol

stay away from Floranova to reduce lockout IMO:ganjamon:

I know theres gotta be a log cabin and a blue ox somewhere in there. Pit where you hiding them?

DOC: CLASSIC..LMFAO....:clap::rofl::cheer::clap::rofl::cheer:

they are under the cloak of invisibilty using "The Penetrator" lamp

I actually didnt get the lockout issue with flora Nova, it was with AN. Which kinda surprised me. But it was just the sensi line so maybe that had something to do with it. Or maybe it was just the long run of hose...thats what Im guessing the culprit was.

I did have lockout bad on my last grow. 2 lines were totally plugged with sludged up, needed 120PSI of air to clear them, I KNOW the problem was restrictions from so many bends and then the thick goopy nutes. I corrected both as you can see. I still wont use Floranova in that system, Ill use it in other applications.
:smokin:

Yeah, the nutrients didnt really clog so much as I think is was just the old water not flowing back to the control bucket comnpleteally so the same gallon of water was getting pumped into the bucket and then just settled in the long runs of hose and then when it flooded again it pushed that same gallon back up. The lines did have calcium and nutrient buildup but not enough that I think it was what caused the lockout. I think it was just simple the long runs and the buckets not emptying all the way. Thanks for the heads up on the nova...I mean Ive used it before and knew that it clogged my pumps etc but still thought that as long as I didnt let it sit for too long I could still use it, because the taste from the nova is exceptional, very smooth!

I must say that I never hear to many good things about the floranova line. Or at least not w/ hydro setups. Always clogging issues

All I can say is, my pump, flood/drain hoses, even the flood/drain screens clogged with the goopy FloraNova nutes, they seemed pretty potent, but I just couldn't deal with the goop.

I almost threw my arm out of socket trying to get the bottles shaken hard enough to even get them to thin out.

Lol, But the end product is just so damn good!, lol. Yes goop is an issue. Thats why I want to try just the organic AN nutes because supposedly they dont clog lines and are 100% organic! I guess well have to give it a try first to really tell if its good or not but its worth a shot. Organic just tastes so much better!

Green...... All nutes grow plants about the same once there dialed in.we have used most of the nutes on the market today with the ebb.IMO H&G seems to be the cleanest we have ever used.No build up in the system at all PH is stable plants are the biggest we have had yet.they made it very simple to use.And i also had a great garden with GH but atm i think H&G has it all over them.Clean, simple to use and great looking plants, we realy cant say enough about them.To be honest i was going to go GH again but a friend who open a store said to give this a try.Its also cheaper then GH.He could have sold me anything in the store but backed H&G before them all. That told me something.

Yeah, if he was pushing a cheaper product then he must really believe they are a better product.

Ive only heard good things about H&G. But I didnt realize they were cheaper than GH. Thats a real surprise. Is it cheaper than nova or the three part? Cause Nova is pretty expensive and I can see that. I kinda feel bad for the Nova line sometimes because it gets such a bad rep from the goopyness and thick sludge it leaves behind that people arent even willing to try it again, which makes sense but I honestly havent found a nutrient that produced better tasting nugs before...of course Ive never tried H&G either, lol. Or Fox Farm for that matter. But god I wish it wasnt so thick! If it wasnt so damn hard to use it would be ALL I use but that goop is jjust such a pain in the ass it almost turns off everyone who tries to use it. Its really too bad cause its excellent stuff just not very practical when your using the CAP ebb and gro bucket system because theres so many lines and they all need to stay open. A ebb and flow table on the other hand only has the one pump and works rather well with the Nova but hell I havent seen hardly anyone on here using flood tables. I did for years and then ended up with this bucket system much like many many other people I know. Anyhow do you really think 3 days will be long enough to flush? I just dont buy it. I mean I would still probably flush for like a week at least, just in case...no? Because other nute companies have said 3 days too and its nowhere near long enough of a flush. Butcher was saying 3 days too and Im just really interested to see how the finished product turns out after only 3 days of flushing. I mean even if its the cleanest best nutrient in the world (which it may very well be) it doesnt seem like 72 hours would be enough to get all the nutes out. I just have a block in my head keeping me from believing that a 3 day flush is even possible, its weird. Is the H&G organic based like nova or 100% synthetic? Cause that could make a huge difference too. Anyhow cant wait to see those fat ass nugs forming pit! Man those are going to be some MASSIVE plants you got there!

I'm just curious to see if H&G is cleaner than GH 3 part....it's as clean as I can imagine nutes to be, perhaps I don't understand exactly what "clean" really means...and yes i do use an old fashioned flood table :) even then FloraNova sucked for me

Heres what I can attest to....Ive used GH 3 part, and GH Flora. both left "salty balls".
Ive been running H&G for aprox 9 weeks from seed. Heres the condition of the hydroton

11_25_1.jpg

on a scale of 1-10 the GH media was a 12. I would call this a 2 or less.
draw your own conclusions. I would submit that the salt on G.I.'s media may have other factors such as water level....frequency of flood cycles etc.....it could ben nothing or it could be something, I dont know, but this is what Im getting. It looks like Bamboo....LOL

Thnks Pit for the info, I didn't notice the salt buildup with the GH 3 part, but I certainly did on the Nova, the water line in the res had a crust of nute/salt built up, + the hydroton as you say was salty, I had to scrape that shit off.

I'm going to switch from hydroton to 'sure to grow' media this time, it's white so i probably won't be able to tell if there is any salt buildup except for the water line in the res, which wasn't much of a concentration at all with GH 3 part, how is it in your res with the H&G? is there much of a salt ring at the water line in the res ?

Also, you have any experience with the NorthernBerry or Skunk strains? Wondering how nute sensitive they are.
