McBudz dropped by my journal this evening and mentioned the airstone conversation going on here. I am using a 1 gal DWC bucket and have found the PH rising from 5.5 to 6.5+ every 24 hours. I did some research in the aquarium forums where it is a common practice to unse increase aeration to raise the PH of the tanks.
I have dialed back my air pump to the minimum and do plan to move the plants to a 5 gallon system in the next few days. If anyone has any experience with managing PH in DWC or any other tips please drop me a line.

Wasn't you that was shooting for 1 gram/watt?
Had a nice long drive in the country yesterday going to the Doc and was thinking of several grows and the LED vs HPS threads and the various wattages and claims when it dawned on me.
The grams/watt measurement would be the best to measure the efficiency of any light source regardless of what it is, or the size of it. Of course, everything else must be the same environment.
A close to perfect, down and dirty, end comparison, that would work well for me and for many others I'm sure.

yes we are hoping for 2000 grams for 2000w. we ended out at .89 grams per watt and we had problems. Hopefully we will get there this time

we were 5 from the beginning but obviously someones got cranky. I just laugh, like it makes my grow stop or something. This journal will be here for a long time 1 star or 5...doesnt matter. some people tend to be jealous haters but that human I guess. like I said "whatever"

That's odd there is plenty of grow videos on there from the Netherlands.....
Droopy, yeah gram per watt is an excelent way to represent the overall efficiency of a garden, true it is more directed at the cash croppers in the sense that it makes it seem as if the higher the number the better. Where as with most of us who do this solely for personal meds where as we grow strains that dont exactly produce the biggest nugs but are of the absolute finest quality (ie:blue cheese).
I beleive Ed rosenthal uses that quite often in his books to describe efficiency of gardens. 1 gram per watt is MENTAL though! Thats a lot of very large nugs, and for a crazy high bar like that we can thank mr Pitviper himself. Only he would be modest enough to say he only got.89 grams per watt and that he hopes its better this time. Anyone and I mean ANYONE would be very lucky to acheive such a weight. Keep in mind this does (i would imagine) have a lot to do with the strains and what they are capable of producing.

I dont have the screens but I do have the idea. And your method will work fine too. Thx. Pit GL with your grow. BTW my Mango is till going 8' and it needs another 4 weeks? to firm up. But it's getting kind of cool here. Like 40's. I just bought a prefab greenhouse but I need to find a brain surgon to give me a hand putting it up. Well tell laters Keep it green I can't wait ti to your next trip. The extra space will help alot. But once plants see that extra space, they have a habit of filling it in GL check back at ya laters
