The VipersNest Continuous

Hey are you running airstones in your main res

good question. short answer is NO. Ive run an airstone for the past year but with H&G nutes your not supposed to. Ive personaly met the distributor (Stephen from Humboldt) and he clearly tld me not to do it, Ive called the co in the Netherlands and they also said it quite clearly. I do run 2 260GPH powerheads 24/7 which they said is the best way to go. Ive been doing that for a year anyway. I have no algae at all and the system is clearly the "cleanest" set up Ive ever had. The bottom of my res used to look like a silty mess from the FloraNova stuff. If you felt the bottom of the res now you would feel/see nothing. the water is almost clear. Still smells like a well seasoned fish tank (which is great). Im using Great White Shark bacteria in a bag with Cocoa in it. The bag is clean and white.

overload overshmode, theres never enough pics!

looking good though.
keep it up bro, i think we harvest at the same time. . . when are you tentatively planning 12/12? i think i have 1-2 more weeks veg, but def some time in oct. I'm not waiting to Nov.

WOF
12/12 will occur on Oct31st. Im 3 weeks behind what I wanted but shit happens. My fiinish times are going to be needing some pixie dust with the different finish times and such but Ill conjure somthing up

we all have faith in the viper. How many days apart are the strains as far as harvesting goes?

one strain is 7 weeks, 2 are 10 weeks and the last is 8-9 weeks...im not worried.....much LOL

thats not a far stretch apart. Damn i though it was going to be a huge diff, but no worries on them. We know you have it covered. Oh by the way hows the H & G doing for you.Iknow you lowered the ppm. Whats the ppm at now?

aprox 1100. I do like the stuff...very clean

Saves a lot of going down the wrong path.

Great solid info man i like it. so when you change the res what did yu sent the PPM at and where do you like your ph to sit:popcorn:

I cant recall did you toss the weak ones yet? I've been so out of it lately.

yes I tossed 2 out of the three. the last one is going to make it but I dont know if its male yet

I always start at 5.5 and it will generaly rise up during the week up to 6.0-6.2 which is what you want it to do. dont try to hold your Ph at one number. Diff nutes are absorbed at diff PH levels. you just want it to stay in the range of 5.5-6.2. My ppm is 1100 right now in my 3rd week of veg, Ill jack it 15% next week and hold at 1500 till I bloom. Dont duplicate my numbers as results may vary. start at the rec levels in your chart with your nutes. I run my system hotter than most people but thats me. I dont want your plants to turn into roman candles

god that is so much better (the filter ), Cleanliness is next to godliness ,
They are so gorgeous

thank man fire bud huh?
lol i remember the first time i went hydro i was sitting at 2400ppm at 3 week of flower what a distance i have come since then. thanks to growers like you.

Ive seen 2800 for 3 weeks...as long as your Ph is ok they will survive.

I read somewhere too that they explicitly do not want airstones with their aqua flake nutes. Something to do with the air oxygenating the nutes or making them fall out of suspension.. Anyways always best to follow the mfg's suggestions. This would suggest flakes no good in dwc or drip systems with air stones...

thats a very good point B. It has to do with both the reasons of oxygenation and suspension break down...also you must follow the directions to a "T" when mixing the nutes...buffer issues. I wont get into the specifics unless someone is going to use H&G. You cant just throw the shit in there....CRAZY Ph fluctuations...1.0-1.5 variance up down and sideways by the hour.
This is one of those products that you have to follow the instructions on.....imagine that.LOL
I am going to try the nutes in 2 waterfarms I have laying around. Ill be taking some clones in a week or so and Id like to see what will happen in that type of aerated system...nothing lost if it crashes. Im not going to risk it in the Ebb with 2o plants though

2800 thaats crazy bet they do some wierd things that high no
? i know i do!!

they just dont grow..its like the plants have some type of self preservation in them..
