Well I'm sitting here trying to figure out how many res I need for all the plants I have going. The two L.S.D.'s are going nuts with the mhh conversion bulb. Suckers are growing about an inch a day and have much bigger leaves for some reason. Might just be a strange pheno as these are from a new batch of seeds.
Anyway, I have two of those in the res along with 3 - Sannie Jack and it's getting real crowed already. Think I'm going to top the L.S.D to get the canopy even but I might fim and supercrop. Don't know which way I'll go but I have to decide soon.
I also have another res I started about 10 days after the first. These two are The Kali and they are fems. They are still kicking at about 3 sets of leaves and about 1/2 nutes but the roots have not hit the water so by camparison they look really puny. The plan is to end up with 3 in each res. Two L.S.D and two Kali in seperate res and then I'll split the 3 SJ up somehow. SJ is reg seed so I'm sure it will work itself out.
I have one L.S.D. that is just a monster and I know she is fem so I'm thnking about putting her in a 5 gal and see what she can do with a place to herself. Decisions, decisions! LOL!
Don't worry, miller. They are tougher than that.
On the humidity question, The purpose of the lower humidity is to not make a bud suseptable to mold. You can crank it down slowly or do it all at once. It doesn't matter all that much. When you get some buds growing the humidity should be under 45 just to be safe. The bigger and denser your bud is the lower the humidity should be. Increased trich developement can also occur as the plant uses the trichs to sort of protect itself when things are relatively dry.
In my opinion, yes, you're in the ballpark time wise. Patience, grasshopper, patience. Variables that could affect growth are all over the board; temp, nutes, light and bubbles.
I use a digital postage scale all the time and find it very accurate. Do you zero it before you use it?
yo miller u want the feeder tubes at a steady trickle..... if u didnt damage them u should b good
I have heard of this, it couldn't hurt but I think the resulting CO2 would be minimal. Here is one method.Has anyone ever used a small bowl/container of baking soda inside the grow room, and occassionally added vinegar to that container to produce Co2? If no one has are there any pro or con views on this practice?

hey just an fyi, every one of my Gals that looked limp, ALL the rockwool were dried up, fixed it up good and guess what, their leaves are growing in faster than ever. i think i was starvin my babies...oops...well they are goin strong at the moment sooo yay !
I haven't heard of that. I have heard of other ways to generate Co2 through fermentation. I've never produced C02 for a grow. Hard core growers recommend getting a C02 tank with regulator. I'm strictly small time in a closet. I got two ladies flowering week one right now.
This may be a dumb questions, but it is my first grow with bubbles: Is it normal to see bits and pieces of root floating in the tank? I assume this is normal, but have never heard anyone talk about it.
Thanks...
Welcome Spy4Pie! yes! you usually will get little bit's an pieces floating around! after adding nutes and so on! always clean them out! and keep an eye on your plants root systems to besure you haven't anything else going on! that may be causing a problem! if so make note of it and you don't know what it is! come back here us Deep Water Culture will be happy to help.
