Sweet, that’s good to know, thank you! After they were dry to the touch I revacuume sealed them and placed them in my Cob-A-Tron at 30c... is that ok or should I put them at room temperature?
Mmmm yes, can hardly wait to see, smell and taste a golden cob.
When I cut the bags open I was like whoa! The smell was very strong and sweet... smelled delicious.
Thank you for your help, I appreciate it very much.

I can only tell you what I would do if it was mine and I wish they were my friend top notch cure coming up there.
I would give them 3 to 5 days at 30c inspect after 3 days and post pics please.

Then dry and seal for another 3 to 5 days at room temps to slow everything down.

Dry again more fully then seal for 2 to 3 weeks when you open it it should blow your mind, mine does every time one of the best cobs I have and a big favorite.

Oh man, I cant think you enough! These cobs will come out great, thanks so much for the tips. I will be sure to post pics!
Time for some coffee:nomo:

Quick update on my first cob - cracked her open today after a week on the pvr.

The smell is incredible - a sweet fruity smell. All the skunky 'smells like weed' aromas are gone / significantly diminished.

Starting to understand the enthusiasm.

Yes the nose knows keeping that aroma is where the art is dont over ferment once you get the right nose its time to slow things down and start drying and aging.

Hi @tangwena @SweetSue and all, I'm eagerly here for my weekly check of the two cobs I put up and can't put down. Today they both looked dry and had no mold. They smelled a little less like weed and a little more like strong medicine. The smell is not strong but it just seems "pharma smell" strong somehow today. So I decided to stop the fermentation and keep them vacuumed at room temperature. Looks like these are going to be ready for the Christmas/New Year holidays if I can control myself.

I knew you would Oldbear. :hugs:

Oh Man thats going to cause me some trouble, :hmmmm: I see myself ALWAYS thinking it can get a little better

That’s because you’re astute enough to realize you always will be able to tweak it just a little more. It’s what keeps the excitement high. We’re all just happy lab rats. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Makes my heart skip a beat every time you all post pictures. :hugs:

Mine are now all packed deep in the moving boxes, so no pictures until I get settled in NOLA next week. :slide: The DDA cob material has the most delicious fragrance. This grow the DDA has a sharp lime expression that’s lent a new tone to cobs.

I still remember how wonderfully energetic Chris Scorpio’s DDA cob was. Can’t wait to try my own after a month curing.

Take a piece off to play with and seal the rest up for Christmas the aged stuff is something very special they only get better. But make sure you dry it well check every month and take a slice dont deprive yourself of the experience as they age.

tangwena...you talked me into it. I'm not having a good health day and what better treat for myself could there be? None that I can think of! I'll let you know what arises. Tutankhamon here I come.

Well now, smoking on the cob is like no other cannabis high yet. Taste like that too. It's easy to explain right? Maybe for you. First off I was all excited to clean the bong, cut a piece off the cob, and get the wic lit. That excitement flowed into the first toke which didn't amount to much (I didn't break the piece up enough I think). Second through fifth toke brought plenty of smooth, rich. smoke that eventually anesthetised my mouth, face, head and neck. I indeed had the "tripping smile" that I remember making my smile muscles sore. The taste was like the top shelf of anything I ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Refinement might be a part of defining it. The difference between a raisin and a grape, or aged cheese, brandy, wine versus minimal age. How was the high? It was enjoyable. Completely in control and not racy. Deep deep high that I could also be focused on what I wanted to do. I felt like exploring a trail or building something fun or anything at all. It was migraine day so I chilled and enjoyed simple easy things. It intensely lasted for an hour or so and in two hours pretty much calmed down. This is something special I plan to keep some of from every harvest from here on. I have to say the ones that came before us knew how to party! Thanks tangwena and Sweetsue

Hello everyone, I hope today is going well for all!
Thought I’d share a few pics of the Panama Cobs I’ve got going. Has been 3 days since their 24hr sweat, so thought I’d open them up and check the smell. Man... they just slap you in the face when you open the bag! And if you put your nose pretty close and sniff, you catch a beef jerky undertone. I’m thinking continue with the 30c for 2 more days then bring them down to room temp, around 75-78, and let them cure, though I will wait and see what @tangwena says on this.
Here are some pics taken in different lighting. First ones are sun through the front door, send ones are my veg cabinet light.

Thanks for looking, any suggestions appreciated!

Looks good to me. They are dry to the eye and touch before you vac. You're golden from my first time house. Nice job
