Soil - Hydro - 2400w Led - 2000w HPS - 8 Strains - 1 GPW+

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

hey jon, i was thinking about your intake for the room and i think you got it perfect. all those minisplit condensing units blow the air out the side of the unit so you mount the unit 18" from outside access door with air flow blowing towards access door. your intake is in bottom of access door. in the winter when door is shut , condenser will heat the room and attic fan will regulate exhausting heat. as freezing air is drawn in intake it will be mixed with hot air from unit then exhausted , not drawn through condenser. in summer you open access door and unit blows the hot air straight outside.

Wow, they look great Jon.
I reckon that one bb bud in your photo is about what I took in entire yield under the cfl!! Good work mate - I can't wait to see the difference the led makes to mine once she forms some proper buds, I'm getting excited!

thanks for the kind words Billy:Namaste:wether I get the single head or double head unit I will still exchange air between the 2 rooms with 2 6 inch vortex fans.Im going to run a air cooled co2 generator, I think it will work great:)

Looks great in there Jon. Glad you're forming a plan for cooling your environment. I'm watching closely to see what you come up with. I'll be buying a mini split in about 6 months too. :)

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Hey Jon, finally got to your journal. Wanted to chime in on the undercurrent or rdwc system.

Firstly, I tried 3/4" line and it sucks imo. Long roots will slow the flow a shit ton. After building with 1.5" pvc the flow is awesome. I wouldnt build it with less than 1.5" pvc ever again. Uniseals work great. You just have to drill the bucket holes perfect and plan on not moving the system around.

A guesstimate would be a 1/4 hp chiller would work in a 20 bucket system just fine. Cost wise, this can easily be built for under 1k with a chiller. Considering you already have the lighting that is.

50 x uniseals $150
20 x 5 gal buckets $120
20 6" net pot lids $120
50 feet or less of pvc $35
Chiller $450.

You probably have a pump, but if not, maybe $50.
If you need air pump too add say $120-200 depending on what ya get. Good stones can be had for $3 each. And I mean good 3-4" round cylindrical types.

Ok so adding those items it's over $1k. But it's a great system custom built to your needs.
