i dont know about putting the condenser in the attic, i was thinking you install the attic fan to top of your condenser room to ventilate heat from the condersors you set temp control to say 80f and when temps hit 80f in the room the fan exhausts heat till temp reaches 70f and the fan shuts off. summer time fan would probably run all the time. attic is a large space to control temp in. any idea what temps your attic is during different times of year. probably too hot in summer to work.

those units look good, diffently want the low ambient temp kit.

can't wait to see what you come up with. If I could get ahold of a good used 3 ton I could take the dividing wall down and have a bigger 20 by 20 foot room and run bare bulbs. SInce I probably wont do that I will watch what you come up with a learn from it, Thanks Jon.

Ive come up with a design for the condensor room that should work.Im going to build a insulated flip up access panel in the exterior wall of the room.So in the winter the panel is closed and the room is vented with an attic fan and thermostat, in the summer the panel is open and the unit will be fairly close to the opening with the hot air blowing outside instead of into the room,the attic fan will still be used to draw in fresh air.Ive also decided to go with a larger single head unit and I ll exchange air between the veg and flower room so both will benefit from the co2 burner.

where are you going to mount air handler, i like the insulated door and mounting the condensing unit close to the outside wall for easy access to fresh air in summer time, i think with that large access and the attic fan you will be able to keep the hot air from recycling through the condenser and that is your main concern. if you dont need the unit to heat i wouldnt get a heat pump. it will be cheaper for a straight a/c cooling unit. i would think you would want your trim/dry room to be cooler than your veg or flower room, curious to hear how you plan to cycle air from room to room.
nice floor plan to start. looks like a good beginning for jon's weed factory.:thumb:

I can use the 10 000 btu unit I have now in the trim room when its needed, im adding a chiller to the flower room res so heat in the trim room wont be an issue. I have 2 6 inch vortex fans just sitting around, I think I will mount them in the attic and use them to cycle the air between the 2 rooms 24/7.doing it this way will eliminate any light leaks.the air handler will probably be mounted a little to the right of where the feed and drain lines come into the flower room about 8 feet from the condenser, if that doesnt work I ll mount it right along the same outer wall in the middle of the flower room.I think I can use the condensate to water the girls outdoors too so maybe a rain barrel or something to catch it:)

sounds cool! i'm curious to see how good you can regulate temps in veg room by circulating the air between both rooms.
