Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

I will be trying out some other tga gear this year, im thinking cheesequake might be the next one:)

I popped 3 of their Apollo13 x Vortex. All 3 were females luckily. Each a little different, although 2 look more alike than the third. I give TGA props, it's definitely one of my better strains, and they root like crazy! By far, the best cloning plants in the basement. I'll probably keep all 3 phenos as mothers for a few more rounds until I can pick a favorite.

If I can figure out a way to vent this beast I think its going to be the unit I go with.
Ideal Air Commercial Portable A/C - 21,000 BTU  Ideal Air | Commercial Grade Air Conditioning Products
Once the new space is built its easy to install but in my current space I have 1 basement window to work with and the ductwork for this thing is 12 inch intake 16 inch exaust.im not sure if the window is big enough for those 2 ducts and the 2 6 inch vents for the lights.I dont need a unit this size right now but I will in the new space, I plan on cooling both the flower and veg room with it.I guess I could run unvented lights with it and use the window just for the unit but I would rather not, the whole window would be a big vent and its probably pretty loud.HEATSCORE!!it really sucks that I might have to buy a smaller unit for now and still have to get this thing in the fall:(Maybe I ll just go back to a vented room for the summer, my little 10k still might not be enough though, fack I hate wasting money!

you dont want your intake and exhaust that close together, you might get exhuast (hot air) recycling back into your intake which will drive up head pressure and kill your capacity . you'd have to have an elbow or something to direct exhaust away from your intake.
i'm sure you'll find the right solution.

Im ok with buying a 14k portable but I dont want to end up with the same problem Hiker is having with negative pressure. From whart ive been reading all dual hose models are suposed to not create negative pressure but obviously thats bs, theres all kinds of growers complaining about the lose of co2, I know this ,model does create negative pressure but I dont think its enough for my room.

4400 watts of light and 2 dehueys in my flower room, what do you think Ronnie?

I am contemplating the same thing in the summer intake/exhaust. But I am worried it will effect my yield. Have you ran both types of rooms? Just curious how yields compare.

it definetly affects yield bro, you can still run co2 but you will use alot more. I might not have a choice but to not run co2 and run the fans steady when the lights are on.The ppm's outside around here are between 6 and 8 hundred according to my meter so my yields should still be decent.

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

I would get a dual zone mini split. 24,000 btu's or greater

two air handlers inside your room would work well I think.
a mini split is no good here, its a steady -30+ in the winter, trust me lol...ive been trying to figure this out for months now, I feel like im running around in circles..

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Ughghhggg. That is a pain in the groin. Maybe you could build a lung room for the compressor. I am not familiar with cold temps really except for the occasional 32 F I get here it is normally mild. Hope you can dial it buddy. Im sure you will.

if it was me i'd build a small room for the condensing unit , with an exhuast system connected to a theromostat. let the condensers keep themselves warm. summer leave the door open and vent room. dont know how feasible this is for you.

I think I would try this as well.

Can you elaborate on the exaust system and thermostat?whats the thermostat for?

like an attic fan with temp control, this is how you control temp in the room. you'll be pulling alot of heat from your rooms so you'll have to vent that heat to keep the room from getting too hot.

Hmm...this could work bro...I could pick up the mini split next round and use it in my current room for the summer then install it in the "condenser room in the fall. Any ideas you have for a room like this would be greatly appreciated Ronnie:)

well with your extreme temps i would start with units that are designed for low temp areas, ie has crankcase heaters, head master controls etc. the room would have to be insulated. i'd install an attic fan with temp control in top of room, with passive intake down low. i would have a way to increase intake venting in summer ie door you can open. as long as the units arent off for long periods of time you shouldnt have to heat the room, but if you did you could do so with very small electric heater. the main concern would be being able to move enough air through the room in the summer to keep the units functioning at peak capacity.
hope this helps.:Namaste:

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

reps for the help Ronnie:Namaste: so I would vent the room the same way I would a grow room right?I actually already have a thermostat and a couple of extra 6 inch inline fans. I think you might of just solved my problem bro:)

remember in summer you'll have to move alot of air. i was thinking more like this
