Smokerjoes 2nd Journal

Alright for the next topic. I am looking for a co2 generator. I dont want to mess with hauling a tank because of where I live it would just be way to suspicious. I dont need a huge gas burning one. So anyone have a electric co2 generator a small one as my garden isnt huge but for the light I plan to put in I will need to supplement co2 because I cant just sit in the room and breath all day haha.

Thanks. Yeah I knew most of these ways I just would be worried Id mess it up It wouldnt generate any heat though which is good. But how would you go about finding out the ppm of co2? One aspect of growing I havent looked much into is co2 supplementation except that I know it can increase yields by up to 100%

Question for yah Joe. have you ever cloned flowering plants and if so how was it. The little flowering clones I took are just taking off they look like they have gone back to Vegetative growth.
Not sure on the ppm of CO2 but an inexpensive trial to see if you get improved yields.

Ive never cloned a plant in flowering no.

I generally dont like to put undue stress on the plants. So in addition to being a clone trying to grow roots fast to stay alive it would also have to revert to veg. I wouldnt do it that way.

I took some clones in 4 week of flowering.I'm growing some of them right now, same thing like cutting in veg stage only they need to reveg.Didn't had any problem jet.

I did a little research on the CO2 stuff out of curiosity and found that they have tanks as well as pads you can hang. I also recall seeing that you don't want anything above 1400PPM and there are CO2 testers that will tell you that info but I don't recall what make or brand. I'll check my notes when I return home in a couple days.

budnoob you need to make your nfl week 2 picks in the pigskin pickem thread

I got this one online for about 40$. You can set alarms for low or high, tells temp and humidity also. I can PM you the brand if you like.

Sure that be cool although it has your co2 as 2244 ppm and labels that as poor?

Nah thats not true. According to oshas standards it has to be 5000 ppm before you get a bad headache. But you are right 1500 is the consensus max plants can benefit from. After 1000 you get diminishing returns. This is the main argument against people who state global warming is real. As the co2 levels are dropping not rising. If they were rising or at dangerous levels us gardeners wouldnt need to supplement it into our garden but im trying to leave the politics behind this journal and save that for my politics off topic threads.

This is for a house as opposed to a grow room and considers anything over 900 as to high CO2. That level is what my house is normally I dont use or make any extra CO2. CO2 above 5K may give you a headache or make you sleepy but doesn't get dangerous till over 30K.

Thats what I am saying. If 900 is high then how is 2244 low? Thats my point. Your house is normally that high wtf how?

Not called low but poor as in poor quality air. Actually the room run's between 1300 and 1700 that picture was taken while i was building the cabinet and haw in the room for a few hours. Have no idea why the CO2 level in my house is so high except that i live in a middle unit townhouse and have good windows and doors so it is pretty air tight.
