Thanks, yeah did a res change and now the ec is dropping steadily. For some reason though my PH has never drifted up. It starts at 5.5 and always goes down to 5. It was like this one my 1st dwc attempt too. Using the same water R.O at 5.5ph but different nutes this time around. Plant is very happy though and growing super well
 
That's very weird, as I understood the PH should rise to pick up all the nutes as the PH rises. That would mean your plants are missing out on few of the nutes one would imagine. If it drops, would it not be a good idea to start at 6.5 or 7 and have it drop to 5.5? Just a thought

Haha yeah, lots of weaving to come. And the hydro looks to be running well, from my Nooby eyes, so just wondering why my system is running like it is. The plants are growing much faster than the soil ones although the flower stacking seems a bit slower. Doing the scheduled res change today and the feeding program seems to go into high bloom boosting from now so that should make those flowers buff out.

When you think your buds are stacking like a champion but it ends up they're actually filling up with seeds....hahaha...ahah...ha...sob sob

The big main keibrid plant seems to be a hermie and the DWC too, both are pretty much the same genetics just from different bags so that's my grow pretty much fucked. The 2 smaller swazi plants aren't making seeds so at least I know its not stray pollen or room issues. Just crappy genetics

So my choices now are - reset the room and pop more random beans, I'm super hesitant to buy seeds now as I dont want to fuck them up and waste more money. But also means it could be more hermie junk I'm trying to grow

or

Grab some seedlings from a mate who says they are an Egyptian landrace...unknown genetics plus the risk of transporting plants....
 
Not sure to be honest have never had it happen to me I'm sure one day it will . Not sure if you can remove the me few of them? Or not I'm following to see what others say

Actually it looks to be worse than hermies....the plants may have been pollinated as the swazi has the same thing now, some of the calyxes look swollen and appears to contain a seed.

Cut up one of the Keibrid buds to check:

And with no males in the room or even near it, it means A: Someone in the neighborhood is growing and B: my room is letting pollen in.....fuck

I had a few of those in my grow, I ended up pulling them. The CM bag seed bud ended up with one or 2 colas with a few seeds. Luckily it didn't pollinate the Vanilla and DC
 
I know swazi genetics, and a lot of the stuff grown in the area carries hermetic genes just because of a lack of people pulling males and all sorts of crazy cross pollination happening. Very well could be pollen from the air too:/

Yeah scratching my head on this one. Going to run it for another week or 2 to see what happens. All the plants could be susceptible to hermie genetics given how they are grown in the wild basically. The pollen in the air could be an issue too, my 1st run was in winter so the pollen in the air would be minimal. There are quite a few informal settlements and most likely people growing in their backyards. Crazy strong winds during this time period too.

Not sure how the hell I would check for pollen outside though....or where its coming into the room.

I'd definitely run it until it's obvious they're bunk then id tear down, scrub the shit outta that room n all my filters and anything you can clean near the entrances and then try again with some good seeds. It's worth it to have good genetics, at least then you can eliminate that variable!

I've heard male plants can pollinate up to a km away :S
 
Easily, 1 km might be a low estimate too. Anyway for you to filter the air being brought in through your intake?
 
I have a pollen filter on my intake vent and a carbon filter on the out vent. My room is pretty well sealed but the portable AC sucks air in through the door and some old vents I sealed up. Need to go back and use a silicone sealer rather. The AC was the smallest unit I could buy but its still very strong sucking in air

The other major issue is me opening the door to go in, not much I can do about that system besides spray outside the door with 3% peroxide and hope for the best. Or maybe I can hang a fine gauze curtain on the inside that I spray before entering.
