Slammy Pajammy's Indoor Organic Supersoil Ladies, 2019! 2nd Ever!

Looking damn good mate. Just started a 2nd no-till run of some ecothrive living organic soil. loved the results of the 1st run .All were autos so had little control on the size before flip but they gave some amazing coloured and tasting comparisons to the other girls in megacrop and coco. I did find that 40L was an issue regards enough soil to provide the amount of nutes needed for bigger plants though so have now added another 20L to the pot sizes. 57L are now in action !. .lol They are huge compared to the previous ones at 37L , I can only just get them under the light in a row of 3.amd it is 4ft long !. I am amazed at how well the plants hit the ground running with living soil and certainly taste/feel the benefits now. I have also just finished my 1st Megacrop run so am torn between the mediums now @#@#. I cant honestly say that the differences were too far apart as I low and slow dry and cure now but for vigour the mc has it on the last run. I do think my LOS struggled to keep the pace due to the autos speed and pot size being minimum recommended hence the move up. I expect trees now !!!. In an attic space with an apex roof , it could get interesting

heehee. I am running 6 in nft and 3 Testers for a Fast buds in the 3 los pots. They have took off already and dwarf the other strains. I put them straight in the LOS in small pots from germination and they loved it without a murmur. The strains may have an influence but the soil has given them an amazing head start when used with megacrop initially. They are well known strains that are NOT autos but are fast flowering . I have been given 11 different strains to test out and chose 3 for this run based on their 40-50 days flowering claim. The organics have boosted them no end and I am hoping to flip I 2 weeks time. They are 52 days from seed in the pic below (yesterday) and they are the same age as the neighbouring plants just put I to the NFT trays. Something is helping !!!

Thanks for stopping by! Always love to have other minds dropping by and supplying some input, so welcome aboard!

I haven't had any experience with MC yet, I've only just recently started to hear about it, but now I'm really curious! Although I'm only just really recently getting my LOS dialed in, so I've gotta get that stable to have a good control to compare against! Haha but I'm pretty happy so far! I am thrilled to be heading straight into flower with three more ladies!

On a side note, we just planted a new capsicum friend into the little 15L pot that we just cut the one widow out of, so we'll see how she likes a slightly older run of soil!! So excited! And we got a new habanero friend into the mix, so that will make everything more interesting :D

sounds like a winner and they love companions too. Sweet sue did some great companion growing work on here a while back. I have been using the ecothrive range of amendments for the soils too with great results. i am too lazy/stupid to make my own concoctions .lol I do have a really good supersoil built outside i feed constantly with new fruit and veg waste and have thrown some into the pots as a top dressed composting layer. I am new to this arena too with only my last run and emilyas advice to get to the end with it, still finding watering a pain to hit it right but learning. Been growing for decades but avoided soil due to the myths of low yields etc... i loved the learning curve and the freedom from the nute slavery too.lol The MC is an amazing change to the norm and i see it has even pulled Emilya to its side over organics !!!!!!! , that sold me after a long watching and waiting period with other grows here using it. I had bought the whole nine yards of living organic soil and amendments already to face my demons and went for it as an MC comparison grow using 4 strains and 3 of each. needless to say they both performed brilliantly so screwed me on where i sit with a permanent medium to use .lol Not having to now use any nutes and using old crops mulch to feed is a winner without a doubt and i admire your forray into teas and bennies. have a great day

Thanks! I'm stoked beyond words at the moment :D

Yesterday's update:
Temp: 13-30 degrees Celsius
RH: 35-55%

Flowers are looking so fantastic! Got about .75 litre of tea with bio boost into the little flower girl, and about 1.5 litres with a little egg shell ferment into the big flower girl

The veg ladies got about 2.5 litres of tea each with some egg shell ferment and some of the spinosad treatment again to keep the little flying buggy populations under control. But everybody is looking pretty good!

Flowers: (51 days for the little one, and 1) for the big!

Flowers are looking fantastic! That big girl is looking hugeeeee. And so are the veg ladies! Nice and thick with tight internodes. These are going to be fat!

I did strip all the tiny lowest down cute little bumps of shoots around the very base of the two veg ladies, to make watering easier and to focus all the energy up top. Let's see if we can get some big sparkly nugs!

So the saga of good old Rocky and wonky has come to a close! A little prematurely, but we just couldn't resist!

She was sagging so badly under the weight of her own flowers, I just had to put her out of her misery! Just about bang on 8 weeks since flip, and she was looking nice and sparkly! Probably would've beefed up some more with extra time, but oh well! Out of the way for the next ladies!

Time to get another tea brewing!! Last night was the first night of 12/12 for cookie, so speedy is about a week ahead of her, and they see looking beautiful! A little bit hungry for nitrogen, judging by the yellowing of older growth, but that's pretty much expected as they stretch during the start of flower here!

Each flower girl got 2 litres of water with a little bio boost and egg shell ferment to get the soil all wet and ready to soak up some tea tomorrow

The veg lady (chubby) got 2 litres of water with a touch of egg shell ferment

Today's tea was a big mix:
-kelp meal
-malted barley
-coconut meal
-azomite
-little bit of guano
-neem meal
- calcium crustacean blend
20200323_205626.jpg

All ground up
20200323_205726.jpg

And then mixed 1:1 with EWC
20200323_205759.jpg

Before into the water for a roughly 24hr brew!
20200323_205953.jpg

Everybody is looking good though!! Giving chubby a little longer to get looking happy again, then she'll get the flip too!

Just missed getting pics of the ladies tonight! But I did get in and give them a good dose of tea.

The two ladies in the cab got 2 litres each with some of the bio boost

The one lady in the closet got 2 litres with some egg shell ferment. She's still looking hungrier than the others, but we'll get her sorted. I may move my two chili friends in under the light with her for the winter, as the frost will be coming in very soon!!

-Lights in the cab are pretty much at the 18" mark at the moment, and cranked all the way up! They can't get enough!
-Viparspectra in the closet is at about 75% on all spectrums, and roughly 23" above the canopy.

Chubby is still on 18/6 under the Viparspectra, while I get her happy and sorted, but hoping to be ready for a flip soon!! (I might just get tired of waiting and flip her and see how we go, but I'd like to head into flower nice and strong!)

-Speedy flipped last Tuesday 17/03
-Cookie flipped last Sunday, 22/03

cute socks!

Hahaha thanks Em! I don't always pay attention to my framing, so from time to time there's a little bonus context! Maybe next time I'll slip in a little exposed forearm, just to keep you guys interested and coming back for more! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Today's Update:
Temp: 20-30 degrees Celsius

Everybody is looking beautiful! Chubby is still recovering, so we are still playing it by ear. Might get another tea brewing tomorrow, just for fun

Speedy is definitely starting to look like flowers!!! We are about 8 days since flip, and I couldn't be happier!! Little hungry for nitrogen still, but they just got the tea yesterday so we'll keep watching

Today's Flower Update:
Temp: 16-29 degrees Celsius
RH: 41-55%

Flowers are looking great!! Can't wait for cookie to start showing off! Definitely have some fading of the lower leaves so we'll get another tea brewing with some nitrogen stuff to make sure they're not hungry during the stretch. Then pretty soon we'll be focusing on getting the fungi population up, to work on getting all the phos they can out of the minerals in the soil!

But I'm a happy man! :thumb:

Veg update:

Got a tea brewing today! Today's recipe:
- kelp meal
- malted barley
- calcium and crustacean blend
- tiny bit of guano
- coconut meal
- volcanic rock dust
- soybean meal
20200326_201740.jpg

All ground up
20200326_201958.jpg

And mixed 1:1 with EWC
20200326_202029.jpg

Then into plain water for a brew!

Chubby is still looking sad, and definitely a little worse than yesterday. I've held off with the epsom salts, as i was worried about being impatient and getting too much Mg in there and causing lockouts and other issues, but now I'm thinking it is a Mg problem and i should get some in there. So next watering, we'll include some epsom!

RH: 45-53%

Flowers still looking great! Cookie hasn't quite started to look as obvious as speedy yet, but that'll change this week!

Everybody got 2 litres of tea yesterday just before lights out

I think I pulled a whoopsie with chubby though! I've been giving her plenty of egg shell ferment, and now it's looking like I've overloaded the Ca and locked out phos. She's looking a little red/purple in some spots
20200328_203621.jpg
20200328_203637.jpg

So I'll stop with the egg shell ferment, and maybe give her a little bit of the bio flores with next water. She's still looking ok though! Just gotta give her a little time to recover

:) good call. Never underestimate the power of fermented eggshells to provide a lot of available Ca.
:meatballs:

Thanks Em! Yea it's amazing to see first hand just how effective a tool that egg shell ferment is! Now I just wish we had some dandelions round here, clearly these ferments are an incredibly powerful tool for organic gardeners! So glad I stumbled on your threads!
