OMM's Social Network Grow Part 2

OMM all caught up now, I envy your strength to quit smoking. I want to so badly, I smoke a pack about every three to four days, but I know after 30 some years and a habit that was not always so tame, I believe that some damage has really been done......I really wanna join you! Thank you for being the kick ass dude that you are!

:circle-of-love:

:peace:

Hey Brother ! Yep, just like me some damage has been done,,,,,but........they told me if I quit, some of the damage will repair it's self....can't turn that down. I want to be on 420 for while longer. Join me!:high-five:

Do the patches really help?? Do you quit entirley while patching? I think if I can minimize the pain of desire, I want to accept that challenge. I hate ciharettes actually and I do not know why I even continue.......weakness......sigh I must overcome!! Do let me know about the patches and thank you!!

:peace:

They worked for me way back when. The hard thing for me was the habit of holding something in the hand. The patches give you the nicotine that your body desires and as time go by the patch get weaker and weaker to the point your body doesn't miss that part of quitting. Then it is a mental challenge that you have to overcome. If you want to quit that challenge is a lot easier. All I can say is DO IT. You will not regret it.

Thanks for the encouragement Bill! :thanks:
OMM may I ask you this, I have a real nice indica girl that is bushy as all get out but not very tall....without even looking at the bottom of the planter I can see roots shooting out and due to the air I guess they are a lil black, the root under the soil is perfectly healthy and white. Would she benefit from am xplant this late in flower? She is in 7.5 gallon planter now.....am I hurting yields by not doing anything? Would I hurt yields doing the xplant? Thank you in advance, this question is something I coukd not find too much info on. :thanks:
On day about day 35 flowering.

Shizz it is exactly like beemerbill said. The patch gives you the nicotine and it lets you not smoke. What's hard is not having it in your hand. An the pauses it give you. Good luck if you deiced to do it! :thumb:

I think as long as you dont go breaking the roots up you could transplant her. with only a minor set back in time. that said thats justwhat I think and have no proof either way:)

See, I step out for a bit and y'all leave me in the dust! When this state passed the MMJ legislation(without the approval of the R party, heaven forbid) with a 63% approval of voters, certain legislators made it their "elected" goal to show the 63% that we are wrong! When that didn't work, they held judicial hearings to see if they could circumvent the written law as approved by the voters. They have continued to use tax payers funds to narrow the interpretations, as they see fit. Which means we have to use our own monies to take them to court on every issue, to push back against their ill conceived restrictions. Their harsh, shrill voices continue to claim the laws are to "vague". Now their newest drive is to claim that the law does not allow for patient to patient transfers. If 63% of the voters approved the law as written, then exactly who are these legislators representing? Furthermore, if they took a sworn oath to uphold the laws of this state, why are they spending tax payer monies to thwart the will of the majority? Apparently, we have elected folks who believe that an election gives them unprecedented power to do as they please. These folks need to be voted out of office, and possibly re-educated in the proper conduct of an elected official, before we deport them(tongue-in-cheek). If 99% of the citizens would vote, then it wouldn't matter what the 1% wanted. Sorry brother, just had to rant. As for LED's, well, ours were the cheap ones and weren't worth the money spent on them. With electric being cheaper here then by you, I will stick with my "old" technology for now. It cost me about $300 per month to run 3-1000 watt HPS, 3-6 bulb T-5's, 3-6inch inline duct fans, 2 circulating fans, an air pump and a water pump(both used in the cloner). Not to bad for the amount of "medicine" I produce(~ 12 ozs per plant x 4 plants). Maybe in the future I will have the funds to try the good LED's. I'll try to get in here more often, as this is the round table for all things enlightning! Hope you and Jo are doing well brother. Peace be with you!
You're right GMT ......But Gov. dickhead still wants his bridge .........Him and Schutte don't think that the vote means anything ....We may need a bridge , we may not need a bridge but it is the way they go about doing things that pisses me off. They threw out a petion with plenty of signatures in the "D" because the font was the wrong size .....WTF.... THE FONT WAS THE WRONG SIZE ........?

For me that's a hard one. I personalty don't like to replant that far into flower. Afraid of having her Hermy on me.
On this you could trim the roots giving her more space to grow. I believe Xlr8 is talking about this very subject.
in his journal right now. You may want to look it over a bit, before you decide what to do.

:thanks: omw there now!

U could transplant but i wouldnt unless the plant is really struggling. At day 35 flower the plant is really putting alot of energy into producing flowers and transplanting would shock plant and slow down flower production for def. It may recover but this is a vital time in flower. Black roots? are they coming out bottom of pot? what size pot? what medium are u in? i just clicked on ur link in X's journal so i only know what ive read in this post. Dont mean to dive into ur journall like this omm, hope thats ok?

Heya Cultivator thank you for taking the time, the post you quoted actually answer all but two of your questions....the roots are shootig out the bottom and we are 76@25% daytime and 60°@38% nighttime. The soil is FF OF nutes are FF seven part, this particular plant gets watered twice a week @~1190 ppm....there is no visible stress on the plant, but avoiding that is my goal, do I let it possibly bind and really stress it, or do I xplant and stress it too.....damn catch 22s. So I am sorta feeling the option of binding being a little more detrimental than the xplant stress but honestly hell I dunno......:thanks: so much for your thoughts!! Well darn you did not ask temp but there it is, and also medium pH is ~6.4.

Super busy with company. Just stoppin by to say hi.

I have had experience with the patch. My biggest complaint is the itchy sensation after you first put the patch on. I love the vivid dreams though. Every night going to sleep is an adventure!

I didn't see if you said this was an indoor or outdoor plant...I can't imagine an indoor plant that can't finish fine in a 7.5 gallon pot...you also said it wasn't very tall. Since you are late in flower, if it were me, I'd let her be...

Anyway, those are my thoughts on an indoor plant...I've never grown cannabis outdoors, so if that's the case, I can't offer any advice. But just remember, growers tend to screw things up more by what we do, than what we don't do.

Ok I posted this in my journal but I figured I come to the boss. I went out today and there they were. DAMN spider mites. Isn't to bad but I had to spray. I used sns 217 as I was panicking so now the question popped into my head. I'm about 2 weeks out to harvest, did I just screw myself? Had to do something. I cut 3 branches off and one large bud and then sprayed. After I settled down I went back out to the greenhouse and looked again and found one more spot where they had done damage. Sprayed it again in that spot. Found them on two out of three plants and sprayed all three. Now what???

Keep spraying every 2 days or so. the whole plant, they'll hide where it's dry. Discontinue use for 1 week prior to harvest.

Alternatively, you can use this recipe:

For Spider Mites:
3 Full-Flavor cigarettes soak them over night in water (Keep the water and use it below, throw the cigs away.).
3 cloves of garlic
2 small cayenne peppers or any other small, hot pepper available to you.

Finely chop all ingredients.
Combine all in a medium saucepan with 5 cups cold water.
Bring to a boil, reduce heal and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, and let completely cool to room temperature.
Strain first through a wire strainer, then through a coffee filter.
Add 2-3 drops of liquid dish soap to the mixture.(FOR WASHING BY HAND, NOT MACHINE)
Pour into spray bottle and soak tops, undersides, soil, and anything around the plants.
Set in FULL SUN to dry.
Repeat as needed, up to 3 to 4 times a week.

Thanks jandre2k3. i sprayed the hell out of them and will go out and spray the soil as i didn't do that. The plants are in the greenhouse and I don't think we will see sun again until next spring. Maybe next week but the rains started today and it suppose to rain for 10 days. Good old pacific northwest. I will make up the brew and use it also. Thanks and reps coming at you.
